After reaching out multiple times to address issues, I was consistently left to figure things out on my own. It feels like most of the faculty are only there for a paycheck rather than to actually help students succeed. I would never recommend this school to anyone. Save your time and money -- you deserve better. The lack of professionalism and care from the faculty is shocking, and it's clear major changes need to be made for this place to improve.

The admin who helped me initially with the enrollment process, Adina, was very helpful. My issue is with everyone else after her. Although the process was delayed due to missing paper work on my end I never had anyone reach out to me to collect the necessary paperwork. I would have to reach out weekly to ensure they had all the required paperwork and everytime i called something else was missing, although they would ensure me they had everything they needed and would reach out if they needed something else (which they never would). i've heard good/okay things about this school from previous students who have attended, looks like there's turn over rate in staff might be the reason why things aren't as organized as a college should be. very sad they have wasted my time when i could have been enrolled in a different school.

For those unfamiliar with Mr. Paul, he was a master guitarist of many genres. In addition, Mr. Paul was one of the pioneers of the solid-body electric guitar, and his prototype, called the Log, served as inspiration for the Gibson Les Paul. Mr. Paul is the only inductee in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. (Talk about accomplishments!) Three groups: "The Ed Loeb Quartet", "Tom and Sandy Doyle" and "D n A" performed in Mr. Paul's honor. (Tom Doyle had worked alongside Les Paul). The afternoon had two intermissions. Outside the auditorium, water, cheese, crackers, and other finger foods were supplied by a local ShopRite. During the second intermission, everyone had a slice of Les Paul's birthday cake. The event was extra special to me. I had the pleasure of seeing Les Paul perform at the old and new Iridium Room (NYC) on several occasions. "Note to event organizers": Navigating the college was very confusing. On top of it, the young woman at the security booth gave us "terrible directions". In addition, she didn't make any mention of a shuttle. Luckily, I did google a map of the college campus. Many of the program attendees were of an "older generation", which may not have been to tech savvy. In addition, the attendees may not have been able to walk up the college campus hills. We walked about 90% of the way and a car drove us to the event. After the show, we started walking back and a public safety car drove us back to the parking lot.

But then again I went to a school with over 10,000 ppl so I suppose anything would look small compared to a big SUNY. Overall it may be a commuter type college [though they act like it isnt] but when half the kids dont live on campus bc A, they dont want to, and B there isnt enough room....its a commuter school yo. BUT my sister is doing so very well and they give out scholarships to those who are deserving along with recognize achedmic excellence with awards and entrance to scholarly fraternaties. But seriously, they need to lighten up on bed checks and security. They are ADULTS now, they don't need big brother lurking around to see if they are in their rooms by 10pm. Thats not what college and tution is for. I think the students have earned freedom now. jeeeez.

In addition to an average education, they "nickel and dime" you to death and constantly send small bills for everything, like graduating-Because 4 years of tuition just isn't enough. (which rises yearly) Prepare to graduate with tons of debt and a mediocre degree. It is incredibly hard to find a job upon graduating from this college, as it is so small and unheard of, but in all fairness, that may not be something that only happens with STAC. STAC is also not "known" as a great school-as I found out looking for jobs. The education is average at best, and many of the teachers never seem to stay more than a semester, as the longest teacher at the school has only been there 5 years. (2nd place is 3 semesters) It seems that the teachers do not really care, although this could be hit and miss depending on classes. While I commuted (and if you do attend, I would suggest you do as well) the dorming situation is horrible. There are constant twice a night check ups, and activities are not allowed in any of the courtyards. Any violation of these "rules" will end with you getting written up. The teachers claim they are" trying" to fix this, but it has been getting worse and worse. It has become a jail full of kids that are miserable as they have to sit in their room and await check ups all day. Stopping drugs and alcohol is a good thing, not allowing us to use the grills on campus and the grass fields between the dorms is absurd. Especially when you are paying for them. We are also not allowed to use that new field without being on one of the sports teams. Yes you just paid for a new facility that you are not allowed to use if you don't play sports. I regret attending this school, and I did not even have to endure the worst of it. I would not recommend this school to anybody, they have a lot of work to do to try to fix their image before a degree from them will once again mean anything.

The professors, both tenured and adjuncts, at the university care about sharing their knowledge with students while encouraging class discussions. If a student needs extra help, professors go out of their way to be helpful and the tutoring center is a great resource. I found the student body to be welcoming, friendly, and passionate about learning. There are a number of student organizations on campus and activities to participate in. For example, I co-hosted a radio program on campus. There are also interesting lectures that take place on campus. I highly recommend enrolling at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

WPU not only supported my academic journey--allowing me to graduate with a 3.6 GPA and honors--but also helped me grow as a leader, an advocate, and a whole person. Serving as the Student Government Association's Vice President of Judicial Review and as the student representative on the HESSA Advisory Board gave me meaningful opportunities to shape campus policies and uplift student voices. These roles taught me responsibility, collaboration, and the importance of creating spaces where all students feel seen and heard. I'm especially proud and humbled to have received the Social Justice Award. It reflects the university's commitment to equity and the ways it empowers students to lead with purpose. Throughout my time here, I found professors, staff, and peers who genuinely cared about my success and well-being. The community at WPU uplifted me in moments when I doubted myself and celebrated me in moments of triumph. William Paterson University is a place where first-generation students can thrive, where diverse identities are embraced, and where leadership opportunities open doors to real impact. P.S. My Workforce development counselor was fired. The shut down the Clifton NJ office. Ouch! People that work for the government are psycho neurotic.
