Today I was excited when I showed up and they were open. I went inside the lobby and was informed they were only seeing customers by appointment only. No mention of that on their website and a single sheet of paper on their door stating that appointments were recommended (not required). I'm finishing a basement and looking for shower tile as well as tile for around my fireplace. I informed the employee what I was there for and they informed me I could not look around without an appointment. The employee apologized (after asking another employee sitting at her desk who apparently couldn't be bothered) but didn't offer me an appointment to come back. Business must be great for them to turn away potential customers with no attempt to offer to provide their services. As I left the store lobby, the employee followed me out the door and locked it behind me. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Small and local businesses want support and I always try to shop local but this kind of customer service leads customers to choose businesses that will at the very least attempt to assist them.
