Zero Stars for their Palumbo Dr. Lexington location. Their website lists their open hours so my wife and I have showed up 3 previous days over the last week during those hours and they were closed. Today I was excited when I showed up and they were open. I went inside the lobby and was informed they were only seeing customers by appointment only. No mention of that on their website and a single sheet of paper on their door stating that appointments were recommended (not required). I'm finishing a basement and looking for shower tile as well as tile for around my fireplace. I informed the employee what I was there for and they informed me I could not look around without an appointment. The employee apologized (after asking another employee sitting at her desk who apparently couldn't be bothered) but didn't offer me an appointment to come back. Business must be great for them to turn away potential customers with no attempt to offer to provide their services. As I left the store lobby, the employee followed me out the door and locked it behind me. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Small and local businesses want support and I always try to shop local but this kind of customer service leads customers to choose businesses that will at the very least attempt to assist them. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I went to the store twice. the two sales associates were very nice and helpful. After my wife and I decided which tile we wanted, I was trying to get to the store before it closed, so I could place my order. I was working out of town and my GPS said I would arrive at 5:01. I called the store to ask if they would wait for me, so that I could place my order. I knew what I needed and it would have taken less than 5 minutes. The person on the phone told me they closed at 5. I explained to her that I had been driving for 2 1/2 hours and I could only try to get there before 5. She laughed at me and said they closed at 5. I arrived at 5 pm exactly and the door was locked. This company clearly did not want my business, so I went to the Tile Shop down the road. They were open until 7. I found tile I liked better and placed my order with them. Louisville Tile has terrible hours. You have to take off work to go there and they will not make any accommodations. read more

My husband and I went to Louisville Tile this evening to try to find some tile for our shower wall in our bathroom we are remodeling. I had checked their website numerous times but had never been able to find any photos (other than 6 photos they show). As we walked up to the door we saw (written on the door) that to be better helped we should have made an appointment. This was not on any of the websites that I had looked up. We decided to go on in to look around. They had numerous selections to choose from which excited us. We were there for approximately 20 minutes and not one employee greeted us, informed us if they would be able to help us any today, or even acknowledged that they even knew we were in the store. After waiting for that long we decided that they weren't the ones to help us so we left. I will NEVER go back there for any of my tile needs!!! They were just rude and acted as if they were too good to help us with any of our needs. Granted they're were three workers and yes they were helping others but it would have been nice to have been acknowledged. We left and went to Home Depot and got EVERYTHING we needed (with Bob's wonderful help) for a whole lot less than we would have spent there. If I could have written this without giving any stars at all I would have, because they definitely don't deserve any stars after the service we got today!!! read more
