There are outdoor concerts here, permanent art installations and a number of memorials to past military and a famous politician. One special feature is the slide which is probably really nice some times but today was a little filled with trash. And no, this isn't the cardboard pieces that help you have an enjoyable ride. You do need something to reduce the friction or it's not much of a "slide" after the trash is gone. There are some picnic tables and grills. It's very nice. Fairly easy exit to the dog park and simple course to get back on the highway this made a perfect pit stop to stretch our Ruh Roh's legs. This park has it all. Lot's of room to rip and run and a massive amount of terrain from two bridges to cross over and a full on creek that runs through the middle of it. Actually ended up meandering here for 45 minute or so because our pooch loved it so much. Macon is five stars all the way for us and I know Ralph feels exactly the same!

When our big boy Titan needed ACL surgery, though, we had to make the trip to the main office in Gray, where Dr. Hall performed his surgery. Since February, I have made that drive about every two weeks for follow-up visits--first for his surgery recovery and then for a few issues that came up afterward. So when I say we have had consistently wonderful experiences here, I mean it! Everyone we have encountered has been kind, patient, helpful, and genuinely caring. They know Titan when he comes in, they love on him, and they have always made me feel like they truly care about how he is doing--not like we are just another appointment on the schedule. Hopefully we are finally finished with our regular trips to Gray (although with Titan, who knows! ), but I am incredibly grateful for the care he has received throughout this entire process. From Dr. Proctor and our everyday care closer to home to Dr. Hall and the entire team in Gray, we could not have asked for better people to care for our animals. It saved my pups from boredom. Before, I had to walk them four to five times a day and their late night walk was the LONG one so they'd sleep well. I have a fifteen year old Husky mix, Simone; a three year old Bully mix, Otis; and a six month old Bully mix, Pearl. I've only given four stars because the bugs are insane. I thought they'd be scarce during the heat of the day...nope, they love the heat too. Also, there's a lot of shrubbery and tree debris. Be careful navigating so you don't fall and trip and seriously hurt yourself. Watch out for your pups running near fallen branches, positioned in a precarious manner. We did happen to meet a sweet old girl, named Susie. She and her Mom came into the large dog pen to hang with my crew and me for a bit. Anyhoo, it's not super fancy, but it serves its purpose and I feel is a wonderful addition to RAFB! Now, I don't have to take thirty minute walks in the early AM, and still not have every dog use the loo. Now, I get up, throw on some yoga pants and a tee, load the pups up, and drive a minute, then unload the pups into the park and just hang for an hour while they do their business (I always pick up after my pups) and play. I bring a large water bowl, two gallons of water, various toys, baby wipes, towel, bug spray, and antibacterial hand sanitizer. I'd never take food or treats into the park with dogs I don't know. Some dogs can be food aggressive and it could spark an altercation. The same goes for toys too. At the first sign of trouble, I take said toy away. Enjoy! Your pups will thank you!

Took my 2 girls there on a weekend trip to Destin. I have never boarded my girls before and I was a…read morenervous Mama. All of the people there took wonderful care of my girls! They sent me videos of my girls playing and being happy pups. The prices are very reasonable and they LOVE your pups as their own. We checked in and they gave me a tour of the facility and could tell me specifics about other pups' personalities and specificities in such great detail that you'd think they were the pups' parents! Note to parents: take the time to fill out the form when you bring your babies in- and at the bottom put those tiny details about your fur babies..... these folks care and take all of that information into account! Very impressed!!!
