The great service they had then seems to be missing now. We were met with arrogance when the salesman said there was no such vehicle at their location. We looked it up online. Very disappointing experience with Sun Toyota In January 2026, my wife attempted to purchase the Toyota we were already leasing from Sun Toyota. After discovering additional financing she had not agreed to, she rejected the purchase and was told the transaction was being reversed. We were led to believe our existing lease would continue. Unfortunately, Sun Toyota failed to properly communicate the lease reinstatement to Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF). When we later met with a Sun Toyota manager, we were told the dealership had failed to notify SETF back in February that the lease needed to be reactivated. SETF now says it did not receive the reinstatement paperwork or vehicle title from Sun Toyota until September 21, 2026 -- roughly seven months later. During that time, we were not aware that our lease payments were not being processed. We are now being told we owe months of payments and face possible repossession if the amount isn't paid by September 30. We strongly dispute treating this as a normal payment default. We did not knowingly stop paying or abandon the vehicle. We relied on Sun Toyota's representation that the purchase was being reversed. What should have been a straightforward transaction has turned into a serious financial and legal dispute because of an administrative failure the dealership has acknowledged. The Marine Corps League Foundation approved an emergency grant to pay that amount directly to the dealership. All I needed from Sun Toyota was the exact payee name, mailing address, and reference information so the Foundation could send the check. I reached out repeatedly by text, email, and phone over multiple days. My messages were read, I left voicemails, and I repeatedly explained that a veterans nonprofit was ready to send the dealership the full amount owed. Despite that, I still could not get a straightforward answer. The ACH authorization paperwork also states that the payment can be revoked by calling a listed number. When I called that number, it routed directly to Sun Toyota. I also made it clear that I was trying to cancel the ACH and replace it with direct payment from the Foundation. This should have been a very simple process: provide the payment instructions, cancel the scheduled ACH, and accept the $999.99 payment. Instead, I spent days trying to get basic information. Although I didn't end up getting a car with Sun Toyota, Lee Sawicki displayed exemplary service in extending consistent and thorough communication on all of my concerns, was very transparent and was the most dedicated sales rep I've spoken to in the months of discussing deals with Sun Toyota. He is an outstanding gentleman and if any curious customer is reading this; despite the mixed experience I had at Sun Toyota, I think he'd be the most likely to take care of anyone at this dealership after talking with a large handful of people over many months. I found a car yesterday but I was confident Lee would have found me something had I had more time to decide, as I'd only recently been put into contact with him. He easily deserves 5 stars and if anyone is desiring a 5 star experience with a rep who doesn't include unnecessary warranties and will try to work with your budget at this major dealership, he is your rep. I hope management takes note of how he performs and chooses him for a leadership role; because if my experiences had been this way from the start, I likely would have gotten a car a long time ago. I said it's 680 with confidence. And that's where they got me. They lied to me and said the lender mandated an extended warranty for $5k. They lied and sold me some other $2800 nonsense as well. Joe Reth had been the GENERAL manager for many years and had lived in our community, Pasco Trails equestrian, so we used to patron many times. Since, I had been warned, not to buy a car there, butdid, or thought I did. Long story, turned over our title on our Lexus CT, trade in was $$4500, and signed all the paperwork transfer of titles and cash for the car, being $25,500. After 3 hours finally all the paperwork was signed and paid. They were supposed to pick up our car with tow truck as told couldn't be driven till fixed. Get home and get a call that they are bailing out of the deal and picking new car up, as they have not yet estimated the value of trade in. No one can believe this, and am putting it on every venue and media. Calling our lawyer in the am, NONE of this had been explained to us and told nothing of this could happen. Someone did not do their job, per protocol. They now want us to pay the $4500 plus tax, for trade in,or will come pickup the car. They have the full price paid for, our title and vehicle registration, Yes, I do regret not listening to people about their 2 point rating. While discussing the details, I spoke Spanish. At that moment, Zack, a representative at the dealership, told me that I was "not allowed to speak Spanish, only English." This statement was not only disrespectful, it was discriminatory. No customer should ever be told they cannot speak their own language, especially in a country where millions of people communicate in Spanish every day. His comment made me feel singled out, unwelcome, and judged based on my language and cultural background rather than treated as a valued customer. Because of this discriminatory behavior, the deal was not completed, and I left the dealership feeling humiliated and deeply disappointed. I went to service a month later and they told me I had no warranty - then they called me months later and told me to return it. When I went there, they parked a vehicle behind mine and a bunch of salesmen stood around it so I couldn't leave. The executive manager basically told me I wasn't getting my money or a car. So I put more money down and bought a Yukon because I was scared and needed a vehicle as a single working mom with lots of doctors appointments ... a week later the air stopped working so I took it in- Then hours later a "manager" called with food in his mouth and said it was not covered and I could not get the vehicle back ever (all my stuffs in it). They did not offer a new car. They did not offer my money back or anything. We missed two baseball practices and church and a week of work. I have begged for documentation and I've gotten nothing. My Corolla was paid off and I put additional $3000 down and my credit score was at 800 plus. Toyota wouldn't finance and I had to except an outside lender, which I now triple regret. I do not honestly think that Toyota dealerships are all the same because I have dealings with them in several locations and states but Sun Toyota stinks of corruption on the high scale. I refuse to get any service work done there because I've learned to compare the exact procedure at other reputable places and I find the price gauging is in the hundreds of dollars extra. Purchased a vehicle from Sun Toyota back in February. I came to the dealership to purchase a used vehicle. I already had my own financing in place, and my main goal was to purchase a used vehicle and negotiate the best price. When I arrived, the dealership had a good selection of used vehicles. The pricing on the internet for the vehicles was lower than what they tried to sell the car to me for. When I mentioned the internet pricing, I was told that I had to finance through them to get the price. I had them run the financing but was still unable to get the vehicle for the price as advertised, even using their financing. I ended up purchasing the car and they made me pay for their warranty and an additional warranty. They screwed up the numbers so badly I threatened to leave. They sent a higher-up salesman over to explain to me how they came to the number when I didn't agree to what he explained because it didn't make sense. He agreed to my deal and left, never to be seen again during the deal. When I went to the back, the salesman's math stayed the same, and I was told that he was no longer there that evening and the guy in the back didn't know anything about what we discussed. We worked on the deal a bit more and they were able to lower the cost a bit about $750 of the $1,500 the salesman added along the way. So I made the deal. I was unable to drive the vehicle home that evening, and I scheduled it to be delivered to my home a couple of hours away on the weekend. When the vehicle arrived, there was a large chip in the windshield. I immediately showed it to the salesman who delivered it. When I pointed it out, he said they would fix it, and there was already a work order in progress for the repair. When I tried contacting Sun Toyota the next week I couldn't get in touch with the salesman who i had worked with. After two weeks I finally was able to talk to someone about it and they told me it was not their responsibility to fix it. They set me up with their repair group and I ended up having to use my insurance to complete the repair. After doing so my insurance premiums increased $100 a month. I know the chip occurred during delivery and they would not repair it and its costing me additional money every month. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. If you do go there, get anything they say verbally to you in writing. Just my suggestion. read more

I bought a 2008 Toyota Solara that was purchased brand new at Sun Toyota. The original owner took it there for service until it was sold with 75,000 miles in 2025. You could see they replaced the cabin filter or cleaned it once at 30,000 miles, this is what it looked like at 75,000 miles and this is the only dealership that served this car since it was new. I messaged the dealer, but they were unable to accept pictures so I figured I would post it here. Do not waste your time going to this dealership. I communicated very clearly over hours of texts and phone calls about my budget, financing already being secured, and the fact that I did not want to waste my or my partner's time driving over 2 hours unless there was a realistic deal in place. Their stated policy is that they cannot communicate pricing over the phone, which in practice resulted in significantly different pricing and mandatory "accessory" fees being introduced in person. After hearing and acknowledging my offer I was told multiple times that while pricing could not be finalized over the phone, they believed we could come to a reasonable agreement if I came in person. However, upon arriving, I was told by the same representative that my offer was "ridiculous," followed by the introduction of mandatory "accessory" fees that were never disclosed beforehand. The final out-the-door pricing came in almost $10,000 over the listed price of the 2024 Santa Fe advertised online in the low $30s. After the fact, it became clear that the advertised online price includes conditional discounts (such as military and student incentives), which are not applicable to all buyers and significantly misrepresents the true starting price for many customers. I also spoke directly with a manager and clearly communicated my budget beforehand. He assured me that they would "do their best" to reach an agreement and work something out. Once on site, there was no meaningful effort made to meet the discussed number or negotiate in good faith. In addition, previously discussed incentives (including reimbursement for travel costs such as gas and a Visa gift card) were never provided. The vehicle also had open recalls, and the dealership was unable to clearly confirm whether those issues had been resolved prior to sale. During the test drive, we also noticed a vibration in the brakes. Despite having a service department onsite, there was no effort made to inspect or address the issue. It has been 3 months and I still don't have my license plate. Tldr; 1) Sales rep was top quality but finance team has been very difficult-- it has been almost 2 months and I still don't have the license plate 2) If you live out-of-state, do not buy from this dealership as they don't know how to process out-of-state Fuller review: - Despite paying for the registration/licensing/tagging fees, it has been 3 months since I bought the car and I still don't have my license plates. For a used car you can't do the registering yourself, but the point still stands on why I paid for this if the work doesn't get completed after all this time. It is a huge time sink -- I've had more than 50 emails back and forth, and on 3 different occasions I reached out to ask about the status, and only them would they tell me last minute that there is an extra step that needs to get done (so if it were left to them, I would have had multiple expired license plates). I am now on my 3rd temporary plate. They once again recently got back to me, only to tell me that they need new material to complete the registration. My 2012 Prius needed some maintenance. I've had two full services here so far and everything has been taken care of. Sat was a very busy day but I had a headlight out and didn't want to drive around without the main light out. Otherwise I would have opted to come back during the week day. I worked with Adam and he was very helpful. He reviewed my past history and all the services I had completed to check to see what was missing. We got it all taken care of and I can definitely feel and notice the difference after having the tires rotated and an alignment done. Some ppl don't like dealerships but we've always kept up with all of the maintenance over the years at Toyota. Although it may seem expensive it has been worth it. With over 200k miles I am very happy having the maintenance and repairs done here. I brought my Southeastern Guide Dog in training with me and Adam was kind enough to have me wait in a smaller quieter space. We waited about 3 hours and then I was able to get a ride and leave it to be picked up later. I would recommend (if you can) dropping your vehicle off and getting it later. I usually do this but again since I really wanted the headlight replace to avoid a traffic ticket I opted to wait. The waiting area is big and has several types of chairs and tables available (should you want to work or bring a computer/charge your phone). They have an area to get drinks and a tv too. I usually enjoy talking with others who are waiting and learn a great deal about the area too. read more

My daughter had a deal for a Toyota that they said was in stock and they made the deal while we were out of town. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The manager was incredibly rude and the staff was unhelpful & pushy, they also specifically told me that when they checked my credit it would be a soft pull and not affect my credit... when I checked credit karma afterward they did in fact do a hard pull that brought my credit down a little. I did not purchase a car with them (thank God) so why do a hard pull on someone's credit? Overall a terrible experience. Car shopping already sucks, I recommend going somewhere else so it sucks less. read more
