Well customer service reps in the front were there and smiled but didn't welcome me when I was there. Finally I was told to go to cashier and one of them walked me there. Don't come here to buy a vehicle unless you're desperate. This establishment has the audacity to charge $8000 over the website listed price on a used vehicle. They claim the charge is for dealer fees and a "value package"...when you ask them what is in the package that could possibly add $8000 worth of value to the used vehicle they slide over this grimy poster that has a list of such items...one being "rain guard" for $400!! Bahaha what a joke. This package put the price of this used vehicle that already had about 60k miles over the MSRP of a brand new model!! This was the first time I ever encountered such nonsense. Now I understand that these car salesman stereotypes actually exist in this world and you will find them here. Issues under warranty not being covered for their ambiguous reasoning. The hazard indicators are out & it is my fault, as there is a scratch, not dent, I assume from parking lot. No collision of any type & they say I must pay for it! If part is so fragile & flimsy a tap from a parking lot disables it, I think the part needs to be inspected, but no, bumper must come off to get to it, so I must pay. This dealership is so shady, they don't know what's going on & want me to pay. Got a flat & no low tire indicator came on. This, a slow flat never showed up & when I realized, too late. I had to continue to drive on a tire that could be repaired, to be safe. I payed for service assistance & a new tire for over $400. The answer when they let air out of tire, indicator came on right away. Why didn't that happen & save me time, stress & money? After owning the car 3 years all of a sudden this new message kept popping up on dashboard, " maybe you need a coffee break! I was told this comes on when your hands aren't on the steering wheel. Damn, you can't bdrive with your hands on your head & why after 3 years? Who care, don't find out the cause, just turn light off. Friendly Kia just keeps giving & ripping customers off. Last visit, unfortunately, I was disabled, but the restroom was not handicap equipped. I went in there twice, as I needed a toilet & it just wasn't equipped. When I told Mr. Smiley ( yes, real name) about the problem & me having to soil myself, his first response was, it was a temporary setting. LOL, they have been using that space for over a year, while mega bucks were spent on building a new dealership. Then he said I could have asked for assistance, not quite how ADA is intended to work. This dealership has stolen my trust, confidence, money, sanity on issues & now ignoring ADA laws, what will they stop at. THIS DEALERSHIP SUCKS!! They certianly don't live up to their name! NOT friendly at all! I had emergency brake failure, Kia 24 hr service said it had to go to the nearest dealer. I didn't buy from Friendly because of their bad reputation, and I wasn't comfortable from the start. So they charged me $90 to diagnose the issue, and told me it would be $1500 dollars to replace the system, which is what needed to be done according to them. I did order the parts. But I didn't feel good about it, so I called Morgan Kia, where i bought my car. They told me they would pay to have my car towed to them, and that $1500 sounded high. They mentioned they get 3 or 4 cars a week from Friendly/........not surprising. Morgan said they would pay to have my car towed to them and they would take care of me (as they always have). So I called Friendly to cancel the service...........they told me that because they already ordered the parts that I had to pay a $200 restock fee ON TOP of the diagnostic fee!! Are you KIDDING ME?????? 200 dollars? The parts aren't even there yet! Morgan told me they should not be charging me restock at all if the parts aren't even there. I'm well beyond FURIOUS. This is the SECOND time I have been treated rudely by Friendly Kia. My service guy, Harry was really vague about exactly what was wrong in the first place, and HE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A RESTOCKING FEE! So now my car is held hostage unless I pay this ridiculous fee! DON'T EVER COME HERE, THEY ARE HORRIBLE!! read more

Not a good experience in the service department. Harry the service writer I was assigned when making an appointment last month for a recall was anything but friendly. Told him there was clunk-clunk coming from under the car when moving the steering wheel back and forth. After checking the car he came back in and said he didn't hear anything. We both went out to the car and I rocked the steering wheel from dead center to left and right. It was so loud how could he say he couldn't hear it? Harry said I told him the steering wheel was making noise. Apparently his English comprehension skills are not too good. I just got into my car and left. They are running the service department next door out of an old motel while a new dealership is under construction. I believe I got the bait and switch from this dealership last night. There was a vehicle listed on nearly every online auto sales websites, including the Friendly Kia Website. Stock #L10303. My salesperson was Melissa Duke. I spoke with her regarding. She looked up the vehicle and commented that she didn't know this one was here. She took all of my information and pledged to get back to me with info on this car. Shortly after taking my info I began receiving phone and texts from car dealers. I called her twice and texted her twice. She was on the phone both times and never returned my phone or text messages. I reached out again this morning. Melissa Duke was on another line so I asked the woman if she could find out if this car was on their lot? I was told that the car was sold last night. Imagine that. I wanted to exercise the buyout which, per the lease contract required payment of the residual, taxes, registration, and license. Thew wanted to add over $1400 of "Fees" to the buyout price! don't waste your time with this dealer. I went to Lokey KIA in Clearwater and was treated with honesty and integrity and the buyout was done , just residual and appropriate taxes/fees. Also when Robert was going over the car features with my father after the purchase he either didn't know all the features or didn't want to spend the time because my father asked if the speed display could be digital instead of the needle display and Robert told him that's just the way it is. The insurance issue has been explained that Kia's don't require the upgraded insurance. Since speaking with Ed, I feel more positive about the transaction thus upping my star review. I found out that they add $1895 to the price of their cars for "Value Added" options in the fine print. In the end they were not able to even come close to the price they advertised online. They are quick to go to the fine print to show you. After all that, I just have a hard time trusting them. Buyer be EXTREMELY aware. Drove an hour to this dealership to look at cars and it was totally worth the drive! Everyone was seriously so friendly (hence the name) and even though they were packed, not once was someone short or ever rude. If you have gone to a car dealership before you know this just doesn't happen-- but here it did! They actually wanted to know what we wanted and showed us the cars we wanted to see vs. trying to convince us to like something we weren't even considering. Before we left our salesman even sat in the car with us and walked us through all our features and set up our Bluetooth/car settings, etc. This was definitely a new experience. After we were driving home in our new KIA Sportage, we were still excited about the service we had even more so than the car itself (which now that I think back is pretty funny). Huyndai blew my engine so I went to Kia to purchase a new car. Asked Joshua Julian (Kia sales) since I was using my Hyundai as a trade in if the mechanics could tell me what is wrong so I can pursue against Hyudai. He agreed. After the deal was done, he kept evading me with different answers. Finally told me he wasn't going to do it. He said whatever he needed to to make a sale & steal any recourse I had which cost me about 5500 out of pocket. If you are going to buy a Kia, don't do it here. If you do buy from here, don't go thru Joshua Julian. Full on crooks. I have all the communications/texts that were dealing with this & Joshua Julian pretended like he never heard of such as thing. Mixed experience buying my Kia Soul here. Mike the salesman was great, quick and understanding. We knew the make and model. Only needed to test drive 2 vehicles. Management not so much. We were an internet lead and they treated us as such. Don barely said hello. Finance took hours. I even sent them my credit ahead and asked to be as quick as possible since we had just driven cross country in a rental truck. We were exhausted. They took 3.5 hours total. Far too long. In violation of the federal Consumer Leasing Act of 1976, Joe DiMaggio added over $1400 of BS "Fees" to the buyout price! I protested and pointed out that federal law required the buyout be per the lease contract which did not include those fees. Keep in mind that this dealership made its money on the original lease and the servicing charges and was now trying for a bit more. Joe told me to try elsewhere because every dealer did this illegal crap. So, I went to Lokey KIA in Clearwater and was treated with honesty and integrity and the buyout was done within the law, just residual and appropriate taxes/fees.
