I say this because I work at that Kohl's across the parking lot and hate when I have to deal with people that treat employees like I did. It all started with her asking the lotion I use. I get mine from Ulta for about $10 because I can't afford a lot of their lotions at Sun Tan City. She told me I couldn't use it because it had oils that crack their acrylic. Instead of understanding that she was following policy I got mad and I regret that. She was so kind and helped me find a bronzer for about $30 because she understood I have a tight budget. I never got her name but she was working around noon on New Year's Eve. I would like to thank her for putting up with my attitude.

If you're looking for some fancy scmancy beverly hills sparkling spa with outrageous prices, look else where, but if you want a tanning salon with great deals and prices with GREAT beds this is the place! I moved back from Los Angeles, temporarily and started tanning at 'Sun Tan City'. Took me two visits and I was OUT OF THERE! Semi-expensive prices, no deals, just to wait in line forever and deal with rude confused teenagers who have no idea what they are doing or care to. That place has realllly changed since I've been gone, wow. I've tanned MANY places and actually managed a very upscale (expensive, id never pay that much to tan lol) in Sherman Oaks, CA (LA suburb), called Le Beach Club. I'd much rather go here. I can actually remember the first time I tanned here and went into the ultra-bronze bed. Wayne explained everything to me (Since I was an unexperienced tanner) in great detail and even gave me a free lotion packet! Also, my sister got married in July 2013 and I was having some facial treatments done at the time that required no tanning at all. A few days before I panicked because I was vampire level pale lol. (I remembered going there once while Brittany was working and got an AMAZING airbrush tan. I was visiting home and my mother even commented, "Wow you look much more natural and tan than when you use the mystic at your work.") So I rushed down to the salon and got an airbrush tan 2 days before my sisters wedding, I was nervous due to the time crunch, but it looked GREAT. I love all the pictures and am SO glad I had it done, because I had not tanned in literally MONTHS Total Eclipse saved me before having horrible wedding photos for years! The gal who helped me explained everything well since I'm not familiar with the process. She did a great job with the airbrush tan and making me feel comfortable instead of totally vulnerable, but I should've done a better job prepping my skin beforehand. I thought I was a little dry, so it could've been helpful to have to the tech do a quick assessment and advise accordingly. I chose the most popular package with the drying powder add-on so I wasn't sticky. I felt gorgeous with a very natural looking glow - not too intense for November in Iowa - and it lasted about a week. When I checked in, Yelp gave me a $5 off coupon which was unexpected. The gal hadn't seen it before, but checked with her manager and they were able to honor it. Much appreciated all around.

The main reason I'm writing this is because of one employee. She has dark hair, younger, I'd guess…read more26, but I don't know. Anyway, she's polite, helpful, knowledgeable and conscientious. She's always on time (and there's been three time in 2 weeks other employees were a little late opening) which is a big deal for me because I have a lot to get done before noon every day. I assumed she was the manager, but asked today and she is not. The owner should be grooming her for that job right now. She's pretty and obviously uses the tanning beds herself so she's a walking, talking advertisement and saleswoman for the store.
