I love it here! Straight forward signup process-I pay approx $84 a month, unlimited everything. I come here and I do the infrared trim spa, then I will do the massage table with the red light therapy and then finish off with a tanning session. I mostly use the one with the red light therapy (bed #1) as well and I absolutely love it. I feel like I'm doing something good for myself with the red light and maybe tanning isn't the 'healthiest' thing but with only 88 days of full son of a year in Indiana I NEED whatever attempts at sunlight I can get for my vitamin D and overall mental health. The staff is always super helpful and accommodating and the wait times are super limited if ever because I can check in online and the employees move really fast to keep the rooms, clean and ready for the next person. I started off at a tanning salon around the corner that was super outdated and awkwardly quiet so this one definitely takes the cake! read more

Read the contract before you sign it. I got a membership here to tan a few times for a wedding I was in. I know for a fact that the girl told me I could cancel or freeze my account so I signed the contract but when I went to cancel my EIGHTY DOLLAR A MONTH plan, I was told that I couldn't because I had apparently signed up for a 12 month commitment. They are so nice and friendly at this location. The place is clean! I've been using this location for about 5 yrs. And they have been constant in the service and quality of the spray booths. I tan here due to location and the hours they are open. It's a busy location, so it seems there's always at least a few minutes wait just to get to the check-in counter. Supposedly there's an online check-in system where you can make an appointment to skip the line, but I have been unsuccessful at gaining access... super annoying. I like the 'faster' beds with the facial tanners lights. In my experience so far the rooms and beds are clean. It is a little odd there aren't any trash cans in the rooms. That would be helpful instead of having to carry out my used face towelettes to the one tiny trash can in the hall. Like other reviews on Yelp, I have to agree that the constant sales pitch is a little too much. Yes, I have plenty of lotion. No I don't need more or something you say is better. Would I like to buy some diet pills? What?! Diet pills? This place is like a used car lot. Only one more week of this tanning business for my vacation. I like the facility and how close it is to my house but I will not be going back. I wanted 1 month for photos. I registered the first week of April and tried cancelling the last week on April 29 but was told I was not able to and to come back the first week in May to cancel. I went to cancel today (May 3). However, I am being billed for April and May somehow... the manager tried explaining it to me but answered a phone call mid-sentence and used lingo I wasn't familiar with. Gets the job done! I've never been stuck in an awkward, long conversation with people trying to sell me stuff (probably one look at me says that I'm not a serious tanner, lol). I go for spray tanning and don't have a wait when I go during the day or at other off hours. Their pricing definitely makes in inconvenient to not buy a package, so I like the frequent specials they run via their email list. I am always locked out of my app, but I can deal. Overall, it seems clean and efficient and that's pretty much all I want from a tanning place. read more

Visited here on a Friday evening and was the only customer in the waiting area when I entered. They informed me that it would be about 10 minutes until I would be able to get a spray tan. 20 minutes pass and I ask the 2 employees that have been standing at the counter the entire time if they had an update on when it would be available. The manager, I believe, informs me that she has to get back there to clean it but cannot leave customers at the front. (They did have an influx after I entered but it was not unmanageable.) I understand that you wouldn't want to leave customers.. So why not have the new employee you are training go clean the beds while you handle customer care? Furthermore, terrible customer service on her part when she was speaking to me explaining why it was taking forever. Finally, they didn't even turn on the heater to the spray bed I was using and it was really freaking cold. Imagine already being painfully frozen from their blasting air and then getting misted with cool tan juice. Never again, never again. read more

Come on STC. This location is always busy which isn't a negative thing... If you're staffed for it. The fact that it's such a busy location and lacks the resources is automatically annoying. They only have one Verspa booth and usually only two employees working. My goal: Double Dip, instant with sunless You could tell they were stressed and we're doing a good job however I was first put in the wrong type of bed. Then had to get in line to get the right bed. Okay oops. Waited only a minute. Then got put in instant. Done waited 15 minutes for the verspa. Now I spoke with the assistant almost 4 times that I wanted medium clear with hydrate. Hydrate hydrate hydrate. Went into my bed after being forgotten on the list... And boom end of session.. No hydrate. Pick up the phone and they tell me they are out of hydrate. Thanks for not explaining that sometime in the past hour. Save yourself some time and energy and go to Castleton's location. read more

Tanning is a nasty habit to get into and unfortunately I must say that on occasion the urge to tan does come over me. Well during one such occasion I found myself at the establishment listed above. The place was all shiny and lit up that I found myself being drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Once inside,I stepped up to the counter and was bombarded by an onslaught of over priced lotions and tanning sessions. I found myself shaking my head over and over for 20 mins politely declining $40 sessions and $80 lotion. An experience that should have lasted a total of 12 mins wound up taking close to an hour. So I guess the moral of this story is save time, money, and your skin and just be au natural! read more

Yes the up-sales are a little annoying from time to time, but the attendants are very friendly and they make me smile every time I come in. So overall I cannot complain - they are just doing their job. I am working on my best tan yet! The beds are always clean, the bulbs are always fresh and the lotion, yes I admit was an up-sale, is working fantastically. You could go to Laundry and Tan and not be bothered with upsales. But then you would have to deal with rude attendants, durty beds, and doors that dont shut properly or even lock. Not worth it to me! read more

I wait longer at this sun tan city than any other sun tan city location. I have been skipped past multiple times while in line waiting over 15 minutes as they continuously call checking to see if online check ins have arrived... Even though I physically am present, they do not care and skip past me. They also never have beds cleaned when you arrive and you always wait at least 10-15 minutes for them to clean them. Staff is friendly, but the wait is unreal every time and they always try to sell you product every time you step through the door. read more

My only other experience with indoor tanning was in college at some skeevy place I am still trying to forget, so Sun Tan City blew me away with their broad ripple location. The staff was friendly and didn't try to upsell me (maybe they read the reviews on here...). I asked way too many questions, but Rachel was happy to walk me through the whole process. I am also very impressed by their adherence to Indiana's indoor tanning laws. I had to fill out a survey about my natural hair, eyes and tanning history. Because I'm very fair, Rachel recommended I only tan for 4 minutes the first time. I'm sure this would annoy other tanners, but it made me happy and I bet my mother would have appreciated it too. I've seen way too many friends come out of tanning beds looking like lobsters because someone let them tan for 20 minutes. The rooms are bright and clean. They offer you a towel for free, but sticky eye protection is 55 cents. I'm still not really sure what the lotions are for, and I would have to sell my car to afford a bottle, but other than THAT I have no complaints. read more

Out of all of the tanning salons this one is rated near the top of my list. The service is always very nice. The girls who work here are very friendly and helpful - Although at times they can be pushy about buying more tanning lotion etc but that's expected. I think the beds are very nice and even the lower level beds are pretty good and it is always very clean! They offer really good deals and free tanning days - you just have to be in the know and show up! This can be great for people who are not members but for people who are members it can be annoying when it is so crowded. In order to keep members happy they often let members cut non-members but I hate crowds so I try to avoid those days. They also have a great spray tanning system which I am a huge fan of. I am fair complected and have super blonde hair so it is hard for me to get very dark therefore by opting to get the spray tan I can get great color/ not look orange and save my skin from damaging UV rays. read more

Best tanning salon in the city. Go here several times a week. Honestly, it's so cheap for what you're getting as a club sun member you're pay $20 to tan and technically that gets you 30 tans. Free upgrades when you sign up is amazing. Love everyone who works there. I really love to chat with them and just talk about my day. Always leave with a huge smile on my face. I have never written a review in my life but I thought this was necessary. I googled Sun Tan City because I was looking for a place to get a spray tan and figured I'd try it out. I went to the Glendale location and had the worst experience of my life. It was my first time and they said I have to download the app first and register through that to get me signed in. I thought that was odd but I did it. I waited for 20 minutes for someone to try and get me signed up and said my information isn't showing up. I even handed the lady my phone so she could see it was all the correct information. She kept telling me to wait 10 minutes and after each 10 minutes I still wasn't showing up in the system. The lady at the front said " Yeah I don't know what you should do", while laughing about other things with co-workers and I had been waiting there to sign up for 45 minutes. She didn't even try manually signing me up, she just started folding towels and talking to other people while I stood at the front counter. It was so embarrassing that I wasn't even being acknowledged. I just said "um okay then" and walked out. I have never received such awful customer service. I called the main customer service for Sun Tan City and asked why they couldn't sign me up and she said that they could've just manually put in my info and there was no need for the app. I went to the Zionsville location after where they just asked for my ID and put my info in without any app or "finding" me in the system. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. First of all, the spray tans are sub par and not exactly worth the price. I was in today, and the customer service was horrible. I waited about 45 minutes for a spray tan, while 2 girls who arrived at least 15 minutes after I did were already called back. I never received an apology, I was essentially blamed because I came in during their 'busy season'. However, the store was not busy on a Wednesday night at 7:45. Will not be coming here again as the price is not worth the mediocre tan or the far below average customer service. read more

It would seem that the previous reviewers had an experience much different than myself. I'm pale. I like to pretend that my skin is made out of a combination of alabaster and moonbeams, but really....i'm just super pale. I don't tan, I burn and skin cancer clings to my family like white on rice, so i'm always sunblocked up. Sun Tan City had an online coupon for one free spray tan and I got it. I'll upload a picture later. I really liked it! Yeah, there was a line, but so freaking what? Who can't wait in line to receive a service? It wasn't a half hour wait or anything. The sales people were very nice and helpful and informative. One of the reasons there was a wait is because the people working the counter answered all questions anybody asked and didn't rush anyone. They were courteous and patient. Overall I dug the free spray tan enough that I'm going to end up with a Sun Club monthly membership. It's a nice way to have some color and not get a bunch of melanoma all over your sweet little face. Oh! I went with my way awesome lady friend and when it was time to leave it was raining, so one of the people at the counter walked us to her car with an umbrella so that the spray tan wouldn't get ruined. The staff is helpful. Blake was great, but it seems some are new or not confident in their sales approach. There is an online check-in system in which you check in and are put on the wait list. I checked in while on my way, the system said zero wait time, and quickly made it inside. I glanced at the screen and my name was on top in the first stop. Awesome. When I got to the counter however, the employee said there would be a twenty minute wait time and started calling two people before me. What is the point of checking in if that's the case? Either the system is flawed, or the employees aren't strictly following it. Very unsatisfied. read more

They talked my daughter into an expensive package ( yes, she should have known better) but within 15 minutes, tried to cancel, 4 trips to the salon and 4 hours with customer service on the phone, and was told 10 days to wait for refund approval, also not guaranteed!!
