I don't know where to begin but i hate leaving bad reviews. I acquired another Audi in my garage and wanted to put proper tints on. I no longer lived near my old tinter, so I found these guys on google/yelp. I called and a nice lady answered and got a quote and i was quoted around $650 for their best tint being the Xpel Prime XR Plus. I set up a time and took my car in the date set. I get there and we discuss my options for tinting, with the added options i end up spending $900 for full tint job on all my windows. I never once questioned the price and paid (Im a car guy Id spend more if i had to) I chose to wait and watch my car being done. The only complaint i have during installation was that I seen other professional tinters use tools such as a rope bead for the lower part of the windshield to prevent the excess-window cleaner is used to install the tints from dripping past your dash into the electrical stuff below. As well as door still leather protectors. In this case He didn't use the rope bead, let the excess drip everywhere. I was cringing but I didn't say anything because I was predicting a flawless installation and I could look past that if so. After 2 hours and some change it was Finished and Brought my car out. it was night time. I couldn't see anything at night, however I could see streaks and finger prints everywhere from the job, installer Did not bother washing the windows. I did not say anything but thanked them, I paid and left. The next day in the morning it was obvious of the dirty windows. I went ahead and cleaned my windows (when should of been done) using the suggested window cleaner, I saw bubbles everywhere some of the worst I seen. No wonder why you didn't clean the windows to hide your imperfections? anyways I asked about this and was told to wait 2 weeks for them to disappear due to the window cleaner in the bubbles. 10 days went by most of the bubbles went away but some were noticeable and clearly shows dust specs and the bubbles were not going anywhere. The windshield had a scratch in the line of sight of the driver side which is hard to miss. I brought it back to the place and showed them. The tinter rob looked so annoyed at me for showing my complaints. He says its normal to have the dust specs there. I had few high end tints on my other cars and my wife's and not one of them looks this bad or had this many bubbles. The dust spec in the window tints he replaced. Now he hand cut these window vs the first time which was cut to size by a machine. The lines he cut looked and could tell he did not have a steady hand, looked worst than the first time installed. For the windshield scratch all I asked to replace due to the scratch in the way line of sight upon driving. He immediately said its normal and this is a good install and for me to look past it. I beg to differ and never had this much issues during tinting especially paying $900 bucks. He refused to reinstall the windshield, instead he says it will look worst if it was redone. Sounds like no pride or confidence in his work but he will take it off and refund the difference of the cost back to me. So if i got a scratch? reinstalling isn't an option. Im appalled because don't they have life time warranty? Also did he just refused to stand behind his quality of work? I never been to a tint shop where they do not stand behind their work or take pride in their work. I never asked for my money back or argue or got upset with them. I only tried to reason and remained civil. I only simply pointed out the imperfections during their installation and they got defensive and said its normal. Im really sorry that I'm peculiar with my car and wanted some proper installed tints on my car. The re install still has dust particles and bubbles looks worst than the first time around. I should of went somewhere else. Oh and my sunroof tints are installed crooked. For future installing of any of my cars ill be way more hesitant to come back here. I am all about supporting locals, we all are human, mistakes and shitty installation happens i would of been happy if you attempt to re do and I would of been on my way with a positive response, but that isn't the case which is truly too bad. Its sad these days no one takes credit or pride in their work these days. I really wanted to like this shop i even talked to him to install some PPF film to protect the paint of the entire car, but with this quality of work I hate to say, you will not be touching my car again. Now on to the next shop. I attached photos below of the text convos and the imperfections in the installation. The proof is in the pudding. I have no problems showing more pictures or conversations. Very disappointed. Small bubbles remained in my tint and never cured (pictures attached). Rob offered to fix it but wouldn't accommodate me on the weekend, so I had to take work off. After he replaced the tint I ended up leaving the shop with two larger bubbles on the drivers side that have yet to disappear more than one month later. Rob yet again will not accommodate me on the weekend even though he said these bubbles are a very quick fix. I work out of town and cannot go into his shop during the week, therefore I am left with a subpar tint job. read more

The staff were careful with the car and took their time to do the job right. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The quality of product and work makes it worth it. Rob did an excellent job tinting my new Subaru. He took the time to answer all of my questions and was done with the job in about 1.5 hours. There is a comfortable waiting room with complimentary water, coffee, wireless internet and cable TV. This is a dedicated tinting and paint protection specialist. I've done some amateur tinting on a few older cars in the past and did what I thought was an ok job. This was 100 times better and faster. Rob definitely knows what he's doing. I want to do a shout-out to Rob Burton of Sun Stoppers because anyone who helps a total stranger the way he helped me deserves a little plug - obviously a good guy. On a 2.5 hr drive north a few nights ago, I couldn't avoid running over a small metal pipe in the middle of the highway. While everything seemed ok, I continued on my drive. About an 1.5 hours from my destination in New Hampshire, a message popped up in my car that the tires needed air. Nervous that I may get caught in the dark on the side of the road alone with a flat tire, I stopped at a rest area to try to remember how to fill the tires. A guy with his family who had just pulled in to fill their gas tank saw me trying to figure things out & came right over & asked what the trouble was. As you may have guessed, it was Rob. After I told him what had happened, he was unbelievable. He showed me how to fill the tires, checked every tire with his hands, laid down on the ground with a flashlight to check underneath the car, & then had me drive around the rest area to ensure there was no vibration. I was blown away by his kindness. His wife & kids patiently waited while he helped; His young daughter's pride in her dad was evident as she shared with me her dad's business name which I saw written on the van they were in. In our brief chat, I could absolutely tell that 'random acts of kindness' were a daily practice for Rob & how he lives his life. When I asked if I could fill his gas tank in return for his kindness, he said 'no, just pay it forward' & said if his wife had similar trouble he'd hope someone would do the same for her. As I got back in the car, I called my husband who wasn't driving up until the next day to share what had happened. With all that's been going on lately, his kindness made a huge impact; I needed a reminder of my faith in humanity. I forgot that many, many people out there are good; it's just that the small number of others so often make the noise & the news. Going anywhere is would be absolutely a huge mistake. Rob is incredibly meticulous and has been tinting cars for 12 years now. He owns and runs the entire shop by himself. Watching him work was a true pleasure. He was knowledgeable, super friendly, and his work was done with a deft touch. My Accord came out beautiful. He also makes sure you don't roll down your windows for 3 days by locking your window locks and putting tape over the buttons with a written sign. He takes great care of his clients and their vehicles. As he told me window tint shops should be strictly window tinting shops... NOT detail shops where dust particles are flying around everywhere adhering to the windows while you are trying to tint. He wears non-cotton shirts while tinting to even further his belief in keeping your windows 100% clean. You will be able to tell how meticulous Rob truly is the minute you walk through the door because the shop is immaculate and the waiting room is pleasant. Horrible customer service. My brother has been using Rob to tint his windows on various vehicles for 15+ years, he recommended him to me and I used him about 3 years ago, he did an ok job the first time. I traded in my car and made an appointment to get my 2nd vehicle tinted and inquired about the varying degrees of tint as I felt as if the tint on my first car was very light. Rob had an extreme attitude problem and was extremely rude to me, he thought I was upset because of the tint being doing to legal specifications, this was not the case at all. I actually left his shop called around got a quick appointment and put 35% on my car which looks much better then my husbands car (which was done by Rob. Rob acted as if he was doing me a favor by tinting my car, he had an attitude problem and was extremely rude to me, I guess no one told him that you should value your customers. I phoned my brother who has taken our families vehicles there (our dad, his former wife, his friends, my other brother) and he said never again, he saw my car and said he will go where I went In Randolph. He thinks it looks better then his car. He is getting a new vehicle for work within the next few weeks and made an appointment with the guy I used. Ironically, when I was telling the person who tinted my car about my experience at Sun Stoppers he said it is not rare and has heard that Rob was arrogant and doesn't value his customers. Got my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited tinted by Rob earlier today. Went down expecting to tint the front, rear, quarter, and back windows, but turns out my factory tint was dark enough. Instead of going ahead and tinting 5 extra windows, he offered to instead just tint the front driver and passenger sides. He brought the Jeep in right away and within half an hour it was done, no wrinkles, bubbles, or anything like that. Absolutely flawless. He only used plastic to apply the film, and all cutting was done away from the glass on my car. Great service, wifi and TV in the waiting room, comfy chairs and cold drinks in the fridge. Oh, and did I mention I was a walk-in? Finally, Rob referred me to Paul at Lou's Custom Exhaust (also in Stoughton) while he was doing my windows. I'd been quoted $400 for just to replace my muffler and a tip, which is ridiculous. Paul put in a custom system for a little over half of that in about an hour. Exactly what I wanted! They will tint while you wait. The job took a little over an hour but I didn't mind. Front windows came out looking good, however my rear window had gaps in the tinting where the heating elements for the defroster were where it was very noticeable. Robs explanation was that the defroster lines were too wide...wouldnt this be something you tell the customer prior to them paying 200 for a half done tint job? read more

Rob's tinting is simply excellent. He has tinted windows on 3 of my cars since 2005 and I never had a problem with any of them. His knowledge of tinting is extraordinary and he'll answer any questions you have in a friendly manner. I will not go to any other car tinter but him. Back in the day when he moved from Quincy to Stoughton I wasn't aware of it. I took my new car to get tinted at a spot in Quincy and they did a terrible job. Luckily I did some research and found out that Rob was now in Stoughton. I took my car to him and he took care of me. I just purchased a new 4 door sedan and didn't realize the rear windows weren't tinted from the factory. I had all rear windows + eyebrow done! I had a work issue come up after dropping the car to Rob at his shop. I wasn't sure if I was going to make back to pick-up before he closed. He said don't worry we will work it out.
