Such great service and hospitality! Brought my 2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range in for a tint and these guys exceeded my expectations. Very professional and walks you through every detail so you know what you are getting. They are very knowledgeable and you can tell they take pride in their work. I was out in less than an hr and I wanted to stay and hangout with them lol. Tesla owners don't forget none of your windows come "tinted" but rather dyed dark for appearance, but it does not deflect any UV or IR to get the benefit of ceramic tint. You want to tint the entire car for Tesla Model Y (besides windshield and roof). Rear glass & rear passenger window: 70% ceramic Front windows: 15% ceramic

Scott does a fantastic job and gets you in and out fast. We have brought two Lexus vehicles to him in the past and today we did our new Tesla Model Y. Ceramic tint all around. Light tint over the factory tint on the rear doors and hatch, and the darkest they had for the fronts. Going dark was necessary because the white interior takes in lots of light from the front window and reflects it everywhere. I'm glad I listened to their guidance and it came out great AGAIN. Only took about 1.5 hours, and they were also very kind to my little dog whom came along for the ride. Highly recommended and very professional folks.

Scott and his wife are great people and do absolutely great work! My old tint on the rear window was bubbling. Within about 2 hours of dropping off the vehicle they had removed the old tint and applied the new tint. The new tint looks perfect! Plus there is a lifetime warranty with their product/service. Dropped by sun solutions to get my Tesla model 3 windows tinted. The whole team is super nice, it's a locally owned business, and they've got a nice shaded outdoor waiting area. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Ended up getting a medium ceramic tint on all 4 of my windows and the outcome was great. So stoked on the new look! Plus that my leather is safe cause I park outside normally. read more

We recently had window tinting completed on 2 of our cars by Scott and Kerry at Sun Solutions in Encinitas...... they did a phenomenal job! In early January we brought our new 2022 Tesla Model S into their perfectly clean shop, that actually looks more like an operating room than anything else. Before we even left the shop, Kerry found a small crack on the front passenger window that had previously gone unnoticed. We switched plans and had our Audi Q-5 tinted while we battled for 2 months with Tesla for a new window. (That's another story) 2 months after our initial visit, we have both cars done with exquisitely installed window tinting and a new window from Tesla, thanks to Kerry's unrelenting attention to detail. I chose Sun Solutions for my car window tinting based on the outstanding Yelp reviews. Another reason I chose to drive 35 miles to their home-based business was because they would be able to accommodate my active 16 month son. I needed a fast tint service that would allow me to take him somewhere safe to play rather than the usual tinting garages. I drove up into their super clean, professional garage and they said the car would be ready in about an hour. I asked about the local park I scouted on the way to their home. They handed over their park/pool key for us to use. Score! My son was able to run around in a gated, shaded play area during our wait. This helped keep a busy toddler occupied for over 40 minutes! The park was short walk from their business. Scott even returned to the park to retrieve my son's toy truck that I had forgotten to take with me. How nice is that? Scott, Kerry and team were professional and so nice! I appreciated their professional work. The window tinting was done well. They told me that the bubbles/blurring (very few!) were normal. Not even after a week, the small bubbles are completely gone. They did a wonderful job installing the tint. I just returned from a trip up to Orange County, the back of the car was completely shaded in 88 degree heat during horrible traffic back down to SD. I felt better driving the distance knowing he was shaded from the sun. I recommend using Sun Solutions! read more

After many different quotes from various businesses decided to go with Scott and Kerry at Sun Solutions based on their yelp reviews that proved to be spot on in this experience: Rating will be based on TQRDC (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Delivery, Cost) Technology: I didn't really know all there is to know about window film, but thanks to listening to Scott, learned that the one they used is mfg. in USA and he had experience with others. - Grade B+ Quality of workmanship: The window film installed came with a lifetime manufacturer warranty and it also included a warranty for window breakage. Grade A Responsiveness: Scott was always in communication with me and they are extremely organized. You can tell that they have been in the biz for 25years. They gave their quote when they first estimated the job. He was able to provide the best solution for the needs of the house. Big windows generate lots of heat in the living area and advised the reflective type and provided samples. Grade A+ Delivery: They came when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. Grade A+ Cost: Their price was competitive, but cost was not the single factor in deciding to use them. It was their intangibles of being knowledgeable about what they do and their professionalism. I highly recommend this place! The staff is super nice and very friendly. Funny too! I got SUVs windows tinted today. They have a nice area to sit and relax while you wait. They offer you beverages. I got there early but within 20 minutes my car was getting worked on. They were quick! They knew I had to be somewhere and they got the job done in time for me to pick up my daughter. It felt like 30 minutes! They were quick because they knew what they were doing and they did a fantastic job! Very professional and like I said and I can't say it enough. They did a fantastic job. Got my windows tinted for the second time by Scott and Sun Solutions Window Tinting! The first time I got my windows tinted was for my sentra and now three years later I purchased myself a new car and was better than I remember. Scott really knows how to make people feel welcomed through his business and is lightning quick and efficient. If you want someone you can trust to do an AMAZING job on your new ride or your car you have had for 10+ years look no further than this amazing family ran business. When I say family I mean family there is no pressure For all windows in my 2016 mustang was around 350$ with the upgraded sun protection. It would have only been around $250 for just the standard medium tint. Trust me the $100 is totally worth it. You can FEEL the difference. When I got there they explained the differences in the various tints they carried and listened to what I was after with the tint. We settled on the perfect tint and they got to work. Still awesome one year later. My wife got a new car so we went to Sun Solutions to protect the kids from the heat and UV rays. Again, very customer service oriented. Scott was very courteous via email. He was prompt at emailing quotes for the CXP film we were interested in. Scott went out of his way to accommodate our schedules and made us feel like VIP customers. Very knowledgeable about tinting. Great advice in helping us choose what tint for our windows to help the car look great and still keep our kids safe. Five stars all the way. Definitely let them quote your business. I drove about an hour from East county today and had my windows done today. All I can say is wow. Totally worth the drive. The customer service is top notch. All three of them were incredibly personable and friendly. They run a tight ship and as I pulled up the appointment ahead of me was backing out. Perfect. As soon as I pulled in they start working right away. It only took about 45 minutes. The windows look flawless. I couldn't have imagined a better outcome. This is the 2nd time I've had my windows tinted by these fine folks and it's the 2nd time I left with the goofiest fat grin on my face. (Why the 2nd time? Family-owned and the business is run out of their house... garage to be exact. Don't be quick to smirk. It. is. awesome! You know how you yearn for that long lost home-cooked meal? Well, this is kind of like that. Except it's candy for your eyeballs instead of your belly. Scott, the owner is so dang sweet, and hilarious! When you first meet him, it feels like you've known the guy forever. They have a great "waiting room" set up outside their garage... comfy patio furniture, magazines, wifi, beverages, and the sweet, warm sunshine! They're so quick (about an hour), but also so meticulous with their work. Their lifetime warranty equals guaranteed satisfaction. Had found their Facebook page and seen some example photos and great reviews. Messaged them and was able to get an appointment booked the very next day. Had some back windows already tinted and needed the fronts matched. Had matched them perfectly and had them done in 30 minutes. Great guy and perfect tint. I've had a lot of tint jobs and never had the front windows perfectly lined at the seem and this was perfect almost looks factory. Would use them again in a heartbeat! A+ in my book! read more

They've handled front PPF, full vinyl wraps, ceramic coatings, and tint on multiple cars for me, always with outstanding attention to detail and very fair pricing for the quality of work delivered. I've gone elsewhere before and paid more, only to get inferior results. That's exactly why Monumental Workx has become my go-to. I recently purchased a 2026 Model Y Performance and initially planned for front-end PPF, a few high-impact areas, ceramic coating, and tint. I reached out to Theo through his website, did my usual due diligence with other shops, but already knew I'd likely end up back at Monumental Workx. They're not the cheapest--and they don't try to be. Quality isn't cheap, and if you want it done right, this is the place. I scheduled my appointment shortly after delivery, but ended up calling Theo the same day I took delivery to see if I could bring the car in immediately. He responded quickly and got me in right away. Once there, Arturo walked me through the options and made a great point: patchwork PPF wouldn't look as clean as a full-body PPF for only a bit more money. After thinking it over, I realized he was absolutely right--and I'm very glad I listened. Originally, I was going to go with gloss PPF, but overnight I changed my mind and decided (with my wife) to switch to stealth PPF. Thankfully, I caught them early enough, and they were super responsive in accommodating the change. I couldn't be happier with that decision--the car looks incredible, and it was worth every penny. One thing that really shows their level of care: during the PPF install, they discovered a hidden manufacturing defect in my spoiler. I would have never noticed it myself, and most shops probably wouldn't have said anything. But Arturo pointed it out immediately so I could get Tesla to replace it. Even better, once Tesla provided the replacement spoiler, Arturo personally installed it and made sure everything fit perfectly without compromising the PPF. Watching him work, it's clear he's extremely skilled and meticulous. Now everything is flawless. I could go on, but the photos don't even do the work justice. When I get my next vehicle, it's going straight to Theo and Arturo at Monumental Workx. Thanks again, guys!

Alvin has over 40 years of experience and is a true master of his craft. He is a great conversationalist and clearly loves what he does. It looked so good that I went limo tint on the rears. He came out Thursday, the day after, and did my limo tint on the back 5 windows in about 45 minutes. A couple things here.... Let me start by saying that Scott and crew are great people. I personally think they were very kind, hospitable and a pleasure to meet. That being said, this is not an attack on character or them themselves. I simply want to mention a few things that happened from my experience with the tint. 1) I have double-pane windows on my vehicle. The tint I was advised would be fine was metalized... now that the sealant between the panes are bubbling to the top and have made a glue line across the top of all my roll up windows, I am less than pleased, let me tell you. It would have been much more reasonable to put a hybrid film that would not collect and draw so much heat when on double-pane glass. This I know now, which I wish I was warned about and not advised to put on metallic. 2) Light gaps... I was left with 2 decent size light gaps in my back quarter glass windows. Not too clean of a job... 3) I had a small sticker on the outside of my back window, I was not told nor did they ask if they could remove it. Well, it surely should have been removed being that when I finally removed it recently there was a large bubble in the film under the sticker. I'm not sure if doing it the shortcut way really works.... My advise for everyone is to surely check the work once it has been done and make sure there is NOTHING remotely wrong, off or not to you specific acceptance. Check all your windows and corners for bubbles, light gaps and for goodness sakes, make sure the tint they are putting on your windows if you should have double pane windows is APPROVED tint by the manufacturer so that you know it is safe for your windows. I now have to at sometime replace all my roll up windows to get rid of the glue trying to escape out of the top. BE CAUTIOUS of end result. read more

There are few customer service experiences that will last with me a lifetime, this was one of them. I just left the residential shop where Dane took care of my tinting needs. Let me first say how professional, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive to detail this young man was. When I first arrived he introduced himself and shook my hand. He guided me through the decision process and was able to read me and knew exactly what I was looking for. Amazing anticipation of customer needs! Then he told me to help myself to anything available in the fridge. He allowed me to linger and watch as he masterfully applied the tint material. We had great, meaningful conversation and he was not bothered or afraid to explain anything I asked about the process. The product looks fantastic and I am very happy with the outcome. Because the product was just applied an hour ago, I will write a follow up in a couple weeks, but I anticipate only praise. As a private investigator, I use my vehicle for surveillance work several day per week. When I called Scott and told him that the tint needed to be PERFECT so I can roll video out of a crystal clear window, there was no hesitation in his voice when assuring me it would be. This was my first experience in after-market tinting. Any previous cars I have had came with factory tint. The tint job Steve and Carrie did on my car is as close to factory as I could have hoped for. What I am still most amazed by the most is not the stellar quality of the work they did, but how fast they were able to do it. It was ridiculous, Scott quoted me a fair price and an estimated one-hour installation time when I called. After 45 minutes, they had me out of there. They did my windows about a month ago and the tint is looking fantastic, no complaints and nothing but good things to say. Nice family, quality service/product, good price. I will definitely use them next time around. read more

Scott and his wife are the best at what they do, and the customer experience they have created with their home office is unique, relaxing, and fun. As soon as I pulled into their home/office garage they went right to work prepping the windows while Scott and I went over what % tint I wanted. While I waited and watched them work I was offered a refreshing beverage and greeted by their adorable dog Daisy. She's a total lover and enjoys playing fetch incessantly. Within an hour all 7 of my windows on my brand new Ford Escape were tinted, cleaned, and ready to go. I could not have asked for a more efficient, professional, reasonably priced, and detail oriented service if I tried. I highly recommend Sun Solutions, and will use them myself for every car I buy. For those that are skeptical of all these 5 star reviews, do not be they are the best, just go check them out and support your local businesses. read more

I've now had two of our cars tinted at Sun Solutions. I regret not writing a review after first, but, better late than never. Scott and his team are very professional and personable. When I went to get my wife's IS-250 tinted, they gave me great advise about different tint shades available and what would look good. The tint job came out awesome and my wife loved the surprise. The second car is a 98 Subaru Forrester in black. I had to get this car tinted, I looked like a big dork driving around without it. But Sun Solutions came to the rescue. I was able to get a quick email quote from Scott and set a time and date. On that day, I was out of there within an hour!!! The car looked a lot cooler and if I looked like a dork at least people couldn't see me. I highly recommend Sun Solutions. They do a great job! read more

I looked at several other businesses referred on Yelp but couldn't decide on one. Luckily, a friend of mine had just gotten his windows tinted and referred me to Sun Solutions. I got quoted a much cheaper price than other businesses and it was very close to home. The business is ran by an extremely nice couple that work out of their home. The tinting took no time at all, was fairly priced and backed by a lifetime warranty, and all seven of my windows look great! The car looks very good now, much better than before, and much of the heat is blocked. I completely recommend this business, and you should too! read more
