First, I'd like to mention how awesomely nice and welcoming everyone is who works here. The owner is present often and you can tell he really values his customers. Sometimes, I take my kids to bubble tea next door and he'll come out and say "hi" or wave...everyone here is great. The beds are well maintained and they have a really good variety of types to chose from. Sometimes I feel like relaxing and do the 20 min bed, and other days I'm in a rush and use the fast ones. They have a stand up one that is my favorite, it just feels more natural to me to stand. I've done a good amount of research, looking at actual peer reviewed data on which one is healthier and it seems shorter more frequent exposure is better, this makes sense as it allows your melanocytes (the cells that respond to UV) time to make melanin. I used to get pretty depressed in the winter. My hormones were fine, my vit-d was good, everything was "normal" according to my doctor. Then, one day while working out I heard a guy talking about why he tans. Long story short I decided to try it. What a difference it makes, I pretty much tell anyone who will listen. But, just like anything else you want to use the minimum effective dose. So go easy, especially on your first few sessions. read more

Started tanning about 7 years ago here and there with the UV beds and the spray tans and never have I gotten a tan where I was convinced I couldn't do better. Best tanning salon around! Louie and Farrah along with the rest of the staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I wanted a base tan before a tropical trip and they helped me through the whole process. I never burned in the shop nor in Puerto Rico. Love the homeyness and local-owned feeling of this salon. I use to go to chain salons like beach bum and sizzle for years, but I have switched to sun haven. Chain salons are always a pain and a hassle to end your membership, always trying to get you to spend more, dirty beds and rude associates. The owners Louie & his wife are so super nice and sweet and work with you on deals for tanning specials and lotions, teeth whitening. They also run specials via text and sometimes their instagram. I only spoke to the owner on the phone as my teen daughter suddenly wanted a spray tan the day of her dance. He patiently walked me through the process then recommended she does NOT do a spray tan as there was not enough lead time. Wow- I was so impressed. He wasn't out to take my money. He truly wanted her to look nice and knew that would not be the case if she spray tanned on the same day. He was very knowledgeable about the process and I will definitely visit here next time. Wow, talk about a 150 degree turnaround. I personally wasn't going to return this summer after a negative experience with management last year but I decided to call and after speaking with Lindsay, whom is just wonderful, helpful and completely knowledgeable about the new management, I decided to stop by and see for myself.
