The restaurant was very clean and updated. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It wasn't crowded when we got there but quickly filled up, so get there a little earlier than dinner time. Now to the food, I had the Diablo shrimp and was so, so good! If you like spicy this is definitely spicy so be ready for it, the waiter warned me haha- but I will definitely get it again. It also comes with rice and a small salad. Mom had the whole fried fish and it came with French fries and coleslaw. She loved the fish ( I did try it and would get it again). Lastly, my sister got the grouper seasoned in a brown butter sauce ( I can't remember the name of the sauce just know brown butter). It was just okay. She said she'd try it another way but not with that particular seasoning. We also had fresh margaritas which were very good.

Good thing I had already looked at the menu and noticed it was $9.00 U S dollars. Once the chips and salsa came, I ordered the fish of a platter with a side of salad and fries, the food was good. The homemade salsa was more like watered down ketchup with a hint of chili. It took a good 20 minutes to get the chips and salsa and another 25 minutes for the food to come out. The waiter never came to check on us. Just an older waiter that came to drop off the bill. Ambiance was not good. It felt more like a bar ambiance than a restaurant. The music was blaring. This could appease to someone wanting to go drink more than to go eat a tasty seafood meal.

Some of the things I have always remembered were: 1. Everyone couldn't wait to be there. 2. Whole fried fish was a subject of the conversation non-stop. 3. We could hardly ever find a parking space since every local family seemed to be making every effort to get in. So, this time when we stay in town without any guidance or advise from anyone, I've spent a few hours looking for a good places to eat my favorite seafood. To my huge and amazing surprise, the very first place recommended close to Marina Pinacate was Gamma! It took us 5 minutes to walk there. Once inside I KNEW it was the place I was trying to locate so many times!!! We came around 6:30, we were the only people there, and they could have easily said - "Closing down, no service" However, they told us to get any table we wanted, brought us chips and salsa right away, took our order, got us drinks, and once my hubby decided on the fish, it was in process. Our waitress, Tanya, was keeping her eyes on us all the time. It felt that if we were about to ask her for something, she was there and getting us whatever we need! The sea bass... ohhhh... ahhhh.... OMG!!! My husband who rarely tries anything outside of his favorite enchiladas and carne asada, was asking for seconds and thirds!!! We still could not finish the fish, and I will have the best breakfast bites in the morning. Some people would say: "this is hole in a wall", but we both felt like royalty while sitting on the simple wooden benches. It is people that cook, that serve and take care of it make all the difference in a world. Can't wait to go there tomorrow! BTW, there is no pictures: I was busy licking my fingers and making memories of this special treat!

The restaurant had no AC, and it was extremely hot and humid inside. The fans didn't help, and we were all sweating the entire time. The homemade chips were greasy, very hard, and they only brought a tiny bowl of it. We ordered a meat platter, but the steak was overcooked. No one came to check on our table during the meal. In the end, we paid $157 for one meat platter for 2, french fries for the child, with no drinks since they don't serve alcohol. They don't accept credit cards and when paying cash they exchange rate 15 pesos for 1 US dollar which is lower than everywhere else. I am recommending you exchange the money before you go. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere did not match the excellent reviews we had read. We left disappointed and couldn't wait to leave because we were so uncomfortable.
