Finding the airport kiosk to check in upon arrival was not hard. Maybe the signs could have been a little bigger and more prominent? The van was comfortable and the driver drove safely. It's not shocking to see reviews reflecting this. The best shuttle service can't make up for someone's poor planning or sincere misadventure; the laws of temporal physics still apply. I've regularly used the Edmonton SkyShuttle over the last six or seven years without incident. Sometimes I'm purchasing a ride at the last moment at the in-terminal location. They've got rides from the airport into the city late at night, when my budget fares deposit me at YEG. They have crazy-early pick-up times (with advanced reservation) of which I've made use too many times to count, my eyes barely open as we crunch over new snowfall back to YEG. The drivers have dealt gracefully with rude, angry, self-entitled passengers many times in my presence. No, they can't go faster. No, they can't drop you off at your special place, not even just this once. Yes, it costs money. I can recommend Edmonton SkyShuttle unreservedly. They're not too hard to reach, helpful with my questions and scheduling needs, and always deserving of a tip. Thank you all, drivers and office staff. See you in not too many weeks, again :-)

He then drove very fast & carelessly. The amount shown was $48 but he charged us $58. I asked why & he said because it was a van which did not make any sense as we had a ride a week before in a van with another taxi company & we were only charged $44. He was very rude when I asked him to explain & he repeatly said "it's a van". It was a terrible end to our long day after travelling for 18 hours. We did not appreciate being overcharged & being mistreated!

We placed a call to pick up a patron at our business ( we use your service for rides longer than 10 minutes ). After placing the call, the patron was outside waiting when two other cabs arrived to drop off some patrons. By the time your driver showed up , the fare was gone... the driver then told us to eff off !!! and drove away. Look.. yes we called your service.. but we can not and do not control the actions of our patrons. They see a cab , they jump in... we cant tell them its not their cab. Anyway... being told to eff off has left me with a bad experience and I will never call your service again for anyone- even if the patron requests it , I will tell them there are better cab drivers. I simply can not believe that we were told to eff off by a driver- too bad I didnt get the cab number. A complaint will be filed though to the supervisor/ manager... they can look up who it was that was dispatched.

I was skeptical on booking as they didn't ask details about my flight or clarify the size of kennel etc. I offered up the information but it didn't seem like he was keeping track of this for booking. I called the day before my flight to confirm my booking and the person I spoke to just said "yup ok". It sounded like he was driving so I know he didn't look up my booking. I ask for a call back to confirm this. A couple hours later someone calls and he says he can book me in for my ride to the Airport. They didn't have my booking and I had to rebook and clarify several times I needed a ride FROM the airport to home. He tells me go to door 10 on arrival. I get to the airport and no one is at door 10. I call them and once again get a guy that sounds like he's driving and has no time for me. I explain who I am and that I had a van booked to take me, my dog, large kennel and luggage home from the airport. He doesn't understand and thinks I need a ride to the airport. I once again explain and he tells me to go to door 7, there's a van there. I go to door 7 and no one is there either. I try to call back and every time I call, my call is disconnected and I get hung up on. I email them explaining my entire situation and can they please send the van I ordered. I get a response back to go to door 8 where all the cabs are and grab an airport taxi. No explanation of why my ride isn't coming, which is booked in advance (twice), or solutions to my problem. I've now been running around the airport with heavy luggage, a large kennel, a cat and a dog. It's -25 outside and me and my dog are freezing. This kept me in the airport for over an hour longer than it should have. Eventually a very kind man driving a van for airport taxi agreed to take me and my dog. DO NOT use this company. They are unreliable, disorganized and do not care. I have not received a response to my email I sent asking again for my booked taxi and explaining the whole situation and they left me stranded in the airport. They would not accept my phone calls and hung up on me several times. No apology, no acknowledgment of their mistake, nothing. Use another service, this one is a disappointment.

I talked to the owner the next day, he apologized to me, told me it was dispatches fault, and that he would call me later in the day to reimburse me the difference on my card for the double i had to pay to get home. No call the next day, majically the owner had left for india and would be gone a month. The individual left in charge argued with me on the phone to no end. The bus is LOUD. The constant banging from the sign on the passenger side destination display is just absurd. Some padding (hell, a pool noodle would do the trick!) is cheap and would eliminate the problem entirely, and would be easy to hide. There's just no excuse for that much rattling for something I fixed by putting my finger there just to see if that would work: It did. The squeaking from loose seats is annoying, and coupling that in with the rattling from that sign for every bump and crack on the highway, I had to put earbuds in to drown the rattling out. Lastly: There are two check lights lit up on the dash. Why is maintenance not being done? Even if it's minor, how do we as passengers know that? My safety is in YOUR hands, it's what I pay you for. My life is worth something to me, even if it isn't to you. Fix your busses. There's zero excuses for engine lights and rattling and banging and squeaking.

After entering the cab the driver asked me if i wanted to go get cash to pay for the ride. I asked again about credit cards and he said yeah i guess i can take it. The unit was filthy, when i sat down a puff of dust came up from the seat. The Air conditioning did not work, 28 Degrees out, there was duck tape over the engine light, which from the back seat i could see it, as well as the brake light was on. the windshield was cracked all the way across in 5 places, the breaks were grinding when they were applied and it seemed like there was no suspension to the unit at all. when i reached the airport i was handed the old credit card swipe machine, the ones with the carbon paper, and the only thing the driver filled out was his cab number, i had to ask how much and he stumbled on the price, that i wrote in, and while doing so he said that's without tip of course. Of course! the only other thing i wrote was My Signature, no tip for that Hot, rough, smelly uncomfortable ride.

If your profession is being a driver you would assume knowing the area you are driving in is an absolute must. If for some reason reading is to hard you would assume the driver would have an accurate GPS. This was an inconvenience and set the day back entirely. In Dec 2022, I was very lucky to board the F8500 YFK TO YVR and F81501 from YVF to YFK(Waterloo airport). With a ski bag, boot bag and personal bag Lucky is an understatement, I was grounded for a week along with many other flights and fortunately YVR airport stepped in to compensate hotels, meals and transit because Flair Airlines was not providing any compensation or accommodation. In this same flight, I took on a ski bag that was only used for one other trip and a boot bag. I even stored my helmet in my boot bag padded with towel. My ski bag was ripped and my boot bag was also damaged, along with the helmet being crushed. There was a big dent. After 3 years I did get a resolution with Canadian Transport Agency for my ski baggage refunded, the compensation for a new ski bag and compensation for a new helmet. I didn't both with the boot bag- it was old. In this experience I found severe inconsistencies with handling ski bag and boot bag. Flair YFK expected me to duct tape the boot bag with the ski bag. And truly before leaving I did try to get clarification as some standard ski bags only have room for skis and poles. While at YVR. they did a quick test on the skis (not sure what) and away I go in the oversized section. So after being stranded for a week with excessive wait for Flair to go on repeat cancel flight then reschedule a week later I took a break from Flair. In April 2026.i took it to YFK TO YYC and YYC TO YYZ with a ski bag and a personal bag , I decided to give it another try, one thing is that going from YFK would save me the transfer time to Toronto Pearson airport. This time at YFK I wasn't asked to duct tape my boot and ski bag INTERESTING! So this time, I took a roller style where I placed two boots and one ski in one bag and a second bag to carry another set of skis. In the bag, I carried another ski bag for the boot just in case I got separated from my travel companion. It was easy breezy but the personal bag size limits POST flair bag sizing scandal was a bit sketch and heavily enforced. So much that they are tagging carry on and personal bags. On the return from YYC to YYZ, I watched another patron with a ski bag and a standard boot bag (side hang mount with space for helmet, snow pants and snow layers), have his content ripped apart. Understand that if you are skiing, you will also be carrying long johns, extra layers, ski jacket (built with arm ventilation and snow skirt), snow pants (with vents potentially) and a person may have a conventional jacket depending time of year. While I didn't have issues, there is a severe inconsistency and I dunno if he just had a hard time because the patron was not familiar that you can't fit boots in some ski bag configurations. And while the website doesn't specifically say restrictions for ski related clothing- there shouldn't be much of a restriction. I should mention snowboarders have but pads, elbow pads, knee pads- and some pants are built in with the ppe. My travel companion got dinged for $100 just carrying a standard puma bag- usually around 6kg with a Mac book and some light clothes. IF HE DIDNT PAY THE $100 he would not be allowed to board the flight is what he shared with me. The competitor Air Canada was running flights around mid-$500 to $600 and with my branded credit card I get two checked bags. So $420 vs $600. I'm not sure it's extremely worth the hassle with the additional fear of being surcharged. Overall in 2026 the difference with handling is that flair offers a $60 credit if they are delayed up to one hour. YFK to YYC I found my wait time 50min, not enough to get a credit. I also found that each reservation was made separately and this resulted in randomized seating-some children separated from their kid. I also noticed a credit card charge applied on reservation- so debit saves you- but then you can't use the benefits for flight delays and travel interruption. The change fee was $190 for me to change my return fromYFK to YYZ, because change was within 7 days. Overall lots of anxiety travelling with strict personal bags. You sort of have to make sure your destination has washing ability because you're packing lighter. Overall travelling with a ski bag with boot bag or all in one roller is possible but I have overall anxiety. I certainly don't argue that my flight with ski gear was around $300 per person and I added a $190 change. If I used Air Canada, I would be charged similar unless it was a point redemption then I have 24-48 hours to refund the points and taxes. I should note that the flair website restricts one set of boot and ski per passenger while paying for checked baggage with air canada you can fill it with as much skis- so I usually throw all the skis in a standard roller and boots in a hard case luggage.

All airlines have some leniency but not Flair, especially when it's rumored that agents get money for every carry-on upsell. Never flying with them again.
