So, several of us got together and hired Mike with OR Pest to come take care of them. He trapped about 6 of them and then, when we didn't see anymore, his helper came out and put a strong wiring attached to the porch and way down underground to prevent them from digging down under and we haven't had any problems since. He is highly recommended by the Oregon State Wildlife people in Salem. He does Residential & Commercial places. Plus, he is a really nice guy.

After capturing around 12 skunks he became very innovative. He dug a hole around the patio about 18 inches deep and 18 inches wide. He then installed metal screening, drillling holes every few inches in the cement and secured the screening with bolts. The skunks still come around and try to dig in but they can't get though the metal. Thank you, Mike. Haven't smelled skunks in months.

And while I had heard of thatching, I'm not quite sure that I realized you did it to your lawn - thought this was something to do on the farm? Ultimately, we needed to thatch and aerate our lawn and this is the place to get the tools you need to do it. Run by the owner who is very knowledgable and has a sense of humor. That's the combination I'm looking for. Great customer service on the phone and in person. He walked us through the whole process, what we needed for what we wanted to do, how to use the equipment and helped load it into the car and strap it down. Equipment is well maintained and easy to use. Reasonable prices. They also have a landscaping business and while I did not inquire about the services, or pricing, I think they would be worth a look.

They came over and managed to aerate and Thatch, but never edge the yard. Had to call them multiple times to get them to come back and edge the yard. They also weed wacked the cheat grass instead of pulling it and left the remains all over the landscaping. When I asked them to come back and finish the job they said they thought the cheat grass was from the neighbors and they ran out of time to complete the hop vine removal. Terrible company who is trying to do the least amount of effort with zero quality or attention to detail. They also gave us a bill $100 higher than the estimate because it took them more time than they thought to pick up piles of pine needles after we spent 30 minutes going over all the tasks we wanted the night they gave us the estimate. They're lazy and not quality oriented.
