I wanted to walk past this cab, not sure why but I would have as I was walking to the farthest cab in the back of the line of cabs. The driver waved me down and asked" if I wanted a cab?" I told him that I did and then I hopped in. The ride was fast, direct and no Cab driver janky stuff to take the long way. I was getting picked up at the airport and most of the time that means the passenger is at the mercy of the cabbie right? Well thanks for your integrity Mr Sun Cabbie, because I am a conspiracy theorist and expected the worse and was just waiting to jump into fix the problem mode. On April 30th I took a cab from Camino Real Hotel to the airport. I gave the Driver my credit card, he called the number in and said it didn't work, so I paid in cash. Several days later the charge shows up on my credit card. Charged twice for one ride. These guys are a ripoff! AVOID! I would give them 0 stars but I have to give at least 1 to write the review. I called yesterday to schedule a 4:30 AM pickup to the airport. I received a phone call this morning at 3:54 AM that they were doubled booked for 4:30 AM but could pick me up at 4:10 AM. Considering that your phone call woke me up 6 minutes before my alarm was set to go off, there was no way I was going to be ready and out the door by 4:10. If this company had any sort of customer service they would have (1) informed me that they were booked when I called the night before and (2) once they determined that they were double booked and had no other available taxis called a competitor to ensure that I was not left without a ride to the airport. That's what customer service is which apparently this company lacks. Luckily my husband was my back up plan but didn't appreciate that he had to be woken up to drop me off at the airport at 4:30 AM. Do not count on this company for early morning pickups to the airport! Prior to my flight to IAH the following morning, I called 24 hrs in advance to reserve my pickup at 0500. On Thursday 26 February 2015. At 0500, no taxi arrived, when I called at 0510, the dispatcher informed me that there was only ONE cab driving this particular morning as the others had the night off!! And the taxi was across town, after me calling him back, he could not tell me when I could be picked up! He said that this had never happened before, ja right? Anyway, he apologized and that was it, no taxi. I did call United Independent Cab, they responded promptly and a speedy ride to the airport. read more

Zero stars is more appropriate. Called for a cab on a Friday night on Cincinnati street and it took the driver 45 minutes to get there, after multiple assurances from the dispatcher that 'oh, he's 5 minutes away, he's at the light, etc lame excuses. Then when the guy got there he insisted he would not take a credit card. I had specifically asked for a driver who would accept a card when the initial call was made. They took forever to find me in one of the busiest areas of the city on a Friday night and then didn't deliver what I'd asked for. Terrible service. read more

This is a fraudulent company. When I arrived at my final destination I didn't have the correct cash amount and elected to use a credit card. Because I was using a credit card, the driver said I would need to pay $25 instead of $21 for a "processing fee". He then picked up his cell phone and called a company and gave them my credit card over the phone! This was very suspicious and I informed him how uncomfortable I was with that. I offered to go inside and take out cash - which he dismissed. Upon returning from my trip, I checked my credit card statement and sure enough I was charged $35 not $25. I immediately called Sun city cab and was constantly put on hold (4 or 5 times) because the person handling the phone calls could not help nor address the situation. Cab charged me 3 dollar per mile, it's damn expensive. Charged almost thrice of Uber. Avoid as much possible

Not the best taxi service but works for soldiers getting around on Ft Bliss. There vehicles are thrashed but that is expected when you have a shit load of soldiers rotating through. But it's $3 per soldier to go anywhere on post. It works that's what matters for soldiers instead of waiting for shuttle bus. Note to owner put some money into the vans to make it some what decent not smelling like a combat boot after a full days work. read more

Worst cab service. I travel and have never had a cab say I won't put the meter on. I had 10 boxes full of c concert cd's and t shirts from the Oldie concert we through. The guy said to ignore the sign that says $0.50 a luggage, because my boxes that I'm taking to the airport are not luggage. I called the # on the van and it goes to a voicemail, so I called the website # just to be told the manager will call me back...well he didn't, I call back and the guy said I emailed him, but he's not here till tomorrow...you should have told me that before. I only had cash and the only reason I took this cab with because we were running late to the airport or else when the driver said is there going to be a problem, I would have gotten out. We booked a cab for 4pm Friday that never showed up. When we called to check on it at 4:30, we were immediately put on hold. They never came back. Previous experiences when cabs actually showed up were scary and smoky. This is exactly the kind of company those rideshares will put out of business. *Edit: It is now Sunday. Inexplicably, we received a phone call from the cab company at 4:00 this morning. They left a voicemail of their hold music (which we experienced extensively on Friday night.) This company is AWFUL! I had an early flight to visit family on Thanksgiving. I contacted Sun City Cab a week in advance and was told they'd have cars available and there would be no problem. I also contacted them again 24 hours before to confirm. Again they said there would be no problem. The morning of my flight I tried to call them an hour ahead to confirm once again. I called several times and no one answered. My scheduled time rolled around and no car. I waited 35 minutes and no one ever showed up or answered the phone. I had to drive myself to the airport and barely made my flight. I chose this company because I heard they have a contract with Fort Bliss where my husband is stationed. That contract should be cancelled! Do not use this taxi service! They are terrible!! Unfortunately Yelp requires you to give at least one star to write a review otherwise they'd get zero because that's what they deserve! read more

They failed to show up for a previously scheduled ride to airport. If they cannot do that correctly then they should cease to exist.

This morning I took a taxi from the auto shop on the east side to the UTEP area. The 13 mile ride cost me approximately $31. Service was friendly and more or less on time, although the ride was pretty rickety. No complaints there. Called for a 4:15 cab back to the auto shop later (all the way back to the east side) on the same day. The cab arrived on time. The cabbie was friendly. Just blocks before we are about to hop on the freeway, the guy jabbers something about picking up his girlfriend at 4:30 downtown near Cotton. Seeing as how that is very unprofessional, and considering the auto shop was closing at 5, I was not fond of the idea. But I'm a kind person, and the guy assured me he would discount my fare, and get me there before they closed. We proceed to pick up his girlfriend, waiting outside on the street several minutes for her to be let out of work. He almost seems to panic when several trains (notorious for 20 minute train crossing times) block the roadways from downtown to the freeway. The cabbie proceeds to make good on his promise of getting me there on time, speeding at dangerously high speeds on the freeway, through rush hour traffic. I continue to monitor the clock, wondering if I should call and let the auto shop know I'm on the way. I start thinking of a game plan if they close up early, or if we pull up at 1 past 5. At about 4 minutes to 5, we pull into the auto shop, just minutes before they close up. I would have been stranded on the east side with no vehicle had we been 4 minutes later. He pulls into the parking spot, and I look at the fare - $37. In comparison to the fare this morning, for the exact same route, just backwards, it is slightly higher. Not unexpected considering the detour. He says "give me $30." My thought - ok, so you're going to inconvenience me by taking a 20 minute ride and turning it into a 45 minute ride, and have NO AIR CONDITIONING ON, and pick up your girlfriend, and make me stress if we would make it by 5, and you're giving me a $1 discount?! A $1 DISCOUNT?!?!? Considering the time crunch, I hand over $30, plus a tip (WHAT WAS I THINKING??!?!) and run inside. On the way home, I call a friend, in outrage, and explain what happened. It is a bit comical if you think about it. You couldn't make up a stranger story. But then I get irritated and call the dispatch (the very same number I have previously called to arrange for 2 rides earlier in the day). I explain to the gentleman that I'd like to make a complaint. He responds "my manager left already, you really should have called before 5". Are you kidding me?! He asks for the cab number, but I couldn't remember it. Him: "How do you expect to make a compliant if you don't have the cab number." Me: "I can give you my address and the time I called for a cab." I provide the information. Him: "We have no record of your ride. I have blah, blah, blah, and blah, blah, but don't see us having dispatched anyone to your address." He then proceeds to give me attitude about wanting to speak with a manager instead of just filing a complaint with him. OH MY GOD. You couldn't dream up a worse experience. I want my money back. Update: On day 2, around 10 oclock I realized the manager hadn't called me. I gave the number I had called the day before another call. The guy gave me another number to call. Apparently the manager doesn't communicate with dispatch because his assistant hadn't gotten the message, nor did the manager. At 10 I was told he'd give me a call back. By noon I hadn't hear anything, so I called again. She assured me he was in a meeting, but would call me within an hour. A few hours passed, and at 3:30 I gave her a call again. Remember the day before I was scolded for not calling before the manager left at 5. She assured me he was in a meeting, but would call me before the end of the day. At 5 I call, annoyed that no one has called me back. Here is the kicker. The manager provided a number for her to give me to report the cabbie, completely blowing off my request to speak with him. I explain to the lady, before getting really angry, that I want to speak with the manager and not the taxi police. I WANT MY COMPLAINT TO BE HEARD, NOT BLOWN OFF. At 5:08, after a very heated discussion, she exclaims that I am keeping her at work past 5. Again, too inconvenienced to pay attention to the needs of the consumer. Shortly after I hang up, the manager finally calls me. He hears my compliant and instructs me to call the taxi police again. I explain to him that I want my $30 back for the inconvenience, especially after a day of giving me the run around. He then exclaims that he doesn't think I'm telling him the truth, that he doesn't believe me. He also tried to blame it on that the cab driver might not have spoken English. But I speak Spanish, and even heard the driver explain to his girlfriend he offered me a discount. ARE YOU KIDDING?! ONLY IN EL PASO read more

Now I know what you're thinking, "why call them on the 4th"? answer: I live on ft. bliss. They told me wait would be about 30 min. Waited 2.5 hours and they never called. Walked 6.5 miles home. Second, sept 1st. They advertise that they take credit cards so I used my card but it was declined twice. Driver freaked and threatened to call the MPs. had him drive me to ATM, Card worked. I took this cab from the airport. The cab driver spoke very very poor english and was very hard to understand. I arrived home and I went to pay by credit card. She then proceeded to lecture me on how I should have asked if she took CC and cabs don't do that. Thats funny since I paid by CC for my ride to the airport. There was nothing posted anywhere in the cab that it was cash only. I had her drive me to the ATM that is 0.3 miles from my house. She kept missing the entrance so she had to keep driving around causing the meter to keep going up. I should have just paid and walked home. I guess she forgot in that 2 minutes how to get back to my house because she proceeded to take more wrong turns. She added on another $5 to go a little over a half mile. I am sorry you are upset that I didn't have cash but purposely causing the fair to go up is not right. read more

I called the night prior to my early morning flight. At the scheduled time, there was no cab to be seen. I called to check on the location of the cab and was assured that it was 10 minutes away. Around 20 minutes later, I called again and was again assured that it was very close. A few minutes later, I received a call from the cab driver who was coming to pick me up. He was 20 minutes away and needed directions. I ended up having to drive myself and leave my car in the long term parking lot in order to make my flight. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this cab company to anyone who is looking to be somewhere on time. The customer service was terrible. The cab driver did apologize, but the individual answering the main line gave me inaccurate information and hung up on me when I cancelled the cab. Absolutely terrible. I would give them 0 stars if that were possible. read more
