Traveling from Iowa and the A/C stopped working. As this RV still has warranty, I called the dealer up north to find an RV repair shop in Florida. They called back with Sun Camper Liquidator/Atlantic RV and Marine (SCL/ARV&M) as the place to help me. I called SCL/ARV&M and the got me in within an hour, on a Saturday. They trouble shot the problem and found the issue within 30 minutes. Another 30 minutes and I was back on the road. Only works plugged in. This morning the slide is no longer working. Thank goodness its stuck in and not out. We are supposed to be on the road foe 2 months (talked about this reip for 35 years), and we are realizing weve been sold a $50,000 lemon. You can't talk to service department directly you have to leave a message no one called you back and it's your fault. I bought a 34ft Jayco in 2022 had so many warranty issues that they couldn't fix alll at once. Warped door, slide motor, ceiling in dinette slide coming unglued this was a brand new trailer and to many more problems to list Now they say they no longer service Jayco's so what was supposedly was on back order I was just texted we don't service Jayco's anymore call the 1 800 number to Jayco this company should be out of business. We bought a 2022 MPG toy hauler from Sun campers liquidators in fort Pierce. We are from Jacksonville and we drove that far because we had heard that you get great deals there and I'm very happy with the deal that we got. About 3 months after purchased the toy hauler the black tank drop, which as you know is a real , who was the salesman? Who sold me? He kept me informed as well ​problem. Took it back to fort Pierce. This is based upon a visit to this dealership by my wife and I. We found a camper we liked out of state and came to look at this same camper here. We told the salesman, who was on his cell phone the whole time we were there, that we were open to purchasing the camper here if they would COME EVEN CLOSE to matching the price out of state. The salesman said there is no way the camper you want out of state is specd the same as ours. My wife said to him multiple times that it was. His response was that we will "never lose a customer on price" and to get the invoice from the out of state dealership and we will do our best to match. We did that and the sales person didn't come down a penny. Why ask us to do that if you had no intention of coming down even one penny? Just tell the truth that your campers are priced the way they are instead of having her go through these steps when you knew the outcome already? This is the old school shady sales tactics from the 20th century, no wonder they have a glut of inventory that isn't selling. Google "rv crash" and you can see that RV sales are down from last year. You could see rust and wear on campers that have been on the lot for months. They have a sister dealership with glut of the same inventory. The whole thing was weird from start to finish and I guess they just wait around for customers that don't do their homework. Like the other reviews , they don't care once you drive off the lot! Go to camping world, and don't waste your time. Delivery driver knocked a/c off the roof before it was even delivered and they sold me a unit with a broken slide that started leaking and they refused to fix it. Gross customer service , they don't follow up or call you back or care at all. I went into the location twice but they don't have any record of that of course. Wayne Tennant sales representative does not return calls or emails and told us we would get our good faith security deposit back. Cody Danks owner told us the security deposit was refundable and he doesn't return calls or emails. We put a good faith security deposit on an RV contingent on getting business financing from a bank. We didn't get the financing and now they won't refund our good faith security deposit. They don't return phone calls or emails. Their customer service is extremely poor. My salesman Tom really worked with me as a first time buyer to understand the process and get RV and met all my needs for a good price. Keith the tech who gave me my walk-through splint plenty of time showing me the ropes and making sure I was comfortable before leaving. Any questions or assistance I have needed in the first days since, they have provided quick and excellent support while fitting me into their busy schedule. Paul in their service department was the last gentleman I spoke with regarding some questions to get a few routine things adjusted here or there and you can tell he is really passionate about what he does and even went over some awesome tips about different parks throughout the state and how to handle certain emergency situations. Purchased Travel Trailer in July 2023. Purchase was great no issues at all and I love my travel trailer. Had an axle issue arise where a tire was wearing excessive and showing cords after less than 3k miles of towing. Went to put spare tire on to take to dealer and trailer had wrong size spare tire had to drive to their dealer in Okeechobee (closest to my home) 120 miles roundtrip to switch out spare tire. Put the correct spare tire on and dropped trailer at dealer on January 27th. Still waiting on dealer to process claim for axle under warranty. They have to use a 3rd party for axle diagnose/repair and they are waiting for them to come out and determine the issue so a claim can be submitted for warranty work. Had to cancel a couple of trips already and just feel like it should not take over 4 weeks to have an issue diagnosed. Marisa, in service has been helpful I just feel it has been a month of excuses because nothing has been done to even get a repair started. After taking this long to get a repair started, I may be another month or more waiting on parts to get in and repairs done. read more

I traded a used Newmar Class A Motor Home for a new Cherokee Wolf Pup at Sun Camper RV on 3/18/2021. Huge mistake! I wanted to buy local, so I allowed them to lowball my trade-in, but that was nothing compared to the grief I suffered dealing with them for more than a year. My FIRST issue was that they took WEEKS to pay off my MH loan that I was paying with automatic bank withdrawals. It took months to get my payment refund, and that's after the first refund check was lost in the mail. A few weeks after delivery and our first outing, we found a few issues that needed to be addressed. I spoke with Paul, the service manager, and had anticipated the warranty repairs would be made within the next few months. Some of my warranty issues revolved around a defective 7-way trailer cord and braking issues and a melted 30 Amp Shore Power chord. Things they should have taken far more seriously than they did, in my opinion. In December, 9 months after purchase, they asked me to bring the trailer in to have the service plug examined for a possible recall. During this visit, I had again questioned the previous warranty work I was waiting for an presented some new issues. They took pictures of everything that needed done (as required by Cherokee warranty claims department?) and was told I would be contacted with results. More than a month later, I called and was told nothing had been done and nothing further could be done without pictures (which they had obviously lost and forgotten about!), so I sent them additional pictures and was an appointment date for repairs 5 weeks later. I delivered the camper, went home and waited for a call to pick it up. Two weeks later, having heard nothing, I called to ask the status of the repairs and was told NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE and an office worker checked their records and told me that as of that day, NO WARRANTY REQUESTS HAD EVEN BEEN PRESENTED TO CHEROKEE! We had camping reservations, so I recovered my camper and waited for a call to bring it back for repairs. When most of the parts were delivered, I again left it there for another 5 weeks! Some of my warranty issues were resolved but some others never were. The entertainment system never worked correctly and I simply won't use it. In summary, the owner and management of Sun Campers displayed total incompetency from sales to service. There is apparently a very high employee turnover rate at Sun Campers. I was never able to contact the apparently absent business owner, Cody Danks, and he never returned a text relative to my inquiries. I will never visit that business again for anything! I discovered similar unhappy customer reviews on both the BBB Website and also Yelp Reviews. read more

After going to there to check out an RV for an alternative way to reside to place on a land we bought, Dennis (sales rep) was great helping us out picking out an RV. We deposited $1000 that day for the RV we wanted, during that following week we got approved for financing with Chad all while we were trying to get the land prepared to place the RV, the following weekend (Saturday) we went back there to sign the paperwork to submit to the bank and Chad said we have to deposit another $1000 which we agreed cause we explained that we wouldn't pick up the RV till mid October until we get the land cleared and prepared, the following Monday we learned after being helped by our realtor that we won't be able to put an RV on the land alone without having a property on the land because the city won't allow it. So at this point it didn't make sense to purchase the RV anymore as the purpose was for us to live in it temporary, so I contacted Chad that following Tuesday and explained all of this to him and even send him screenshots with what the realtor said so he wouldn't think we're just BS ing, and told him it doesn't make sense anymore for us to purchase an RV, I then ask him for a refund of our deposit of $2000 which he said that his superior was out of town and he has to talk to them about that, the following week after that I called Chad, he told us that he spoke to his superiors and they can only refund $1000 as they had to put money into getting the RV ready for us, so I told him I know that we did the 1 hr tour with the electrician, and on that day we were told that the RV wasn't detailed yet that they will do that when we pick up the RV, so I asked Chad why are they not refunding the other $1000 of our deposit? So he said that they had clean the RV and did the 1 hr "walk around" with the technician and that they have to charge us for that, so I pleaded with Chad and I let him know that Dennis told us that the RV wasn't cleaned that day when we did the tour and that I understand if they keep $500 as loosing $1000 which could help us pay our rent this month since we are not getting the RV anymore to live in, and Chad said that it's nothing that he can do and him and his superior had decided on that. I also called and asked many times to speak to his superior, and they kept telling us that they will have their boss call us and up to this day we haven't received a call from the manager. So if you buyers are not absolutely sure about buying an RV from Sun Campers I advise that you don't make a deposit cause you will loose it if anything changes in your situation. I bought a travel trailer with them 1.5 year ago. Lots of promises where made, like small repairs, checking if everything worked, and cleaning the trailer. The sales person was a nice (retired?) guy and he promised us the world. he told us that when the trailers come in, they show them "as is". Once sold they make the ready. One week later, when we picked it up, NOTHING was done. I called them for some service, no reaction, last week I send them an email and a reaction to their website because I am selling it, asking if they are interested, no reaction. Worst company EVER!!! Sold me a piece of garbage. Sold me a trailer with nearly everything broken. Then tried blaming it on me after having it for only a week. 2 months later I'm still dealing with this. Thankfully the manufacturer has been amazing. They actually came and got my trailer and brought it to the factory to repair everything. My trailer stayed with sun camper RV for nearly a month and only one thing was fixed. And that one thing went out again. I was treated HORRIBLY after the wire transfer went through. Please please go somewhere else. They also own Atlantic Marine and Rv in Fort Pierce. The sales man, Chad, I worked with gave me the freedom to look through their inventory with out hovering over my every move like some of the other dealerships in Ft. Pierce did. He checked in often enough to explain differences in some of the makes and models of travel trailers I was interested in. The financing process was made simple by Chad as well. When I picked up my trailer, Chad had everything hooked to power and walked me through using every feature the trailer had so that I would feel comfortable with taking the RV camping right away. We bought a 2015 Forest River travel trailer. And picked it up several weeks later. When looking at it, my wife noted to salesman, Chad, that the air conditioner didn't seem to be cooling. He said they would check it out before we completed the transaction. Later Chad reported that all the AC unit needed was to be charged up and that it was cooling fine. We picked it up and headed west. At first we thought it still wasn't cooling and then the unit began cycling on and off over and over. Obviously there was still something wrong. We headed back to Florida while trying to reach Chad leaving voice mails and texts. He did not return our messages so after four days and some hot weather, we researched and found a mobile tech in Tallahassee who is a Dometic dealer. He opened the inside housing and first off said Sun Campers must not have looked inside the unit as they said or they would have immediately seen that our unit wasn't ducted properly. The intake air and output air were being mixed. After adjusting the return, the tech then measured the temperature of the air going in and the air coming out and the amperage. The readings were 74 degrees in to 64 degrees out with 9.8 amps measured at the compressor. The ambient temperature was 84. These readings were well below the specifications for a properly functioning unit. And he said there is no such thing as "charging a Dometic air conditioner" as it is a closed system. So We called Sun Campers again as the tech wanted to speak with them to explain his findings. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful getting anyone other than the front office woman on the phone. The next day we finally received a call from Chad who put forth a completely different attitude becoming adversarial with my husband on the phone. So there we were not sure whether to head backnto south Florida to duke it out with Sun Campers or to try to find another way to remedy our broken AC. Also when we bought our travel trailer, part of our deal was Sun Camper installing a Fantastic Fan which they did but their technician somehow failed to install the fuse and, most importantly, the fuse cap, that powers the fan. We called Chad about needing the part (we could install it no problem) but we never heard another word from him on that issue either. So we have a nice new Fantastic Fan that my husband had to go to an auto parts store, buy pieces and parts and cobble together a solution. Please don't let the seemingly sincere folks at Sun Campers fool you as they fooled us. They know we're both recently in remission and taking this travel trailer to Portland, OR to help our sister who has suffered a severe stroke. They cared nothing about us having bought this very nice unit with a failing air conditioner that would cause us two weeks of sweat and worry not to mention $1,100 to replace. Fortunately Carpenter's Campers in Pensacola confirmed the Tallahassee mobile tech's diagnosis and installed a new Dometic air conditioner for us and we are now back on our way in comfort. So happy with the customer service that Chad gave us when we were looking to buy our toy hauler. Not only is he thorough with the explanation of all the lines of product they offer, but he's not pushy at all. We never felt as if he was just trying to make a sale. We went back several times and each time he was kind and helped answer our questions. He bent over backwards with the manufacturer, dealer reps and drivers to get us the product we specifically wanted at the specific time we requested it. When there were even the slightest issues with production he would keep us up to date. He is a younger guy but he knows about his merchandise and fleet on site. I mention this only because some people might think he doesn't know his merchandise, but he definitely does. We ended up going with a Grey Wolf and are beyond happy with the results. Chad stayed after hours to walk us through the entire camper, probably answering the same question over and over, but did so kindly. We are brand new to the camping world and he really went through everything in detail. We felt very comfortable leaving with the product.
