These guys did a great job installing our new screen door. It was a custom job and they figured out how to do it and it's exactly as promised. My only issue is how long it took to receive the product but understand how delivery and manufacturing delays are beyond their control. read more

We had an accordion patio shutter placed about 20 years ago. It has worked out perfectly throughout the years. Lately, some of the rollers that hold the shutter in place have become loose and a couple of them had broken. I called Sun Barrier and asked to have someone come out and take a look at it. The unbelievable happened next! I was told that one of their technicians was in our area that afternoon. Brian stopped by a few hours later and evaluated our situation. He advised us that new rollers should be placed on the shutters to make everything run smoother. Brian looked at his calendar and called into the office and said he could be here tomorrow morning! He and James arrived right on time and started to work. In only a few hours, they had the shutters back in place with the new rollers working even better than when we first got the shutter 20 years ago. My wife and I watched in amazement as Brian and James worked together as a team to get the job done. Now we have accordion shutters that work perfectly. Hurricane shutters are a major investment so we were picky in what company we used, SunBarrier did not disappoint, in fact they are an amazing company with superb staff. They treated us like family from when their representative, Beverley stepped through our front door, she is fantastic, knowledgeable and I loved her tips for us to get the shutters that would be best for us, things we would never had thought of, she took her time and was extremely thorough. Her communication was outstanding the entire way through. Unbeknownst to us on our first encounter SunBarrier was just finishing steps to become a preferred vendor with the My Safe Florida Home Program. Beverley informed us as soon as they were approved and we began the process (worth every penny!) the shutters were placed, the install team was incredible, fast and efficient, they look amazing and they have every bit of functionality we needed. The office team helped us every step of the way, Cindy, Carla were brilliant, helped us through the state process, we were going through it together, again, treated us like family. This review will be updated as I go through the process of ordering storm panels and windows through Sun Barrier Products. After Hurricane Ian this year, we knew we needed to protect our older home against flying debris and hurricane strength winds/rain -- there are some parts of our home that seem particularly vulnerable. We have been dealing with Cindy Donaldson, the owner. She is pleasant, personable and above all, knowledgeable. She showed up on time to our home, talked through options and details such as understanding that the panel fasteners needed adequate structure to add to the home; the details on the various products selected and why they might be good options for those spaces, etc. She took her time to measure and give various quotes to us for the products we may want. It's hard to buy without seeing something in person, so we stopped by the showroom on a Sunday late afternoon -- I figured it'd be a quick 30-min visit. Nope -- she went over everything in details, answering our many questions, and we were there for an hour and a half. We have decided to order storm panels and some impact windows -- I'll be updating with our experience along the way. She has indicated that all of her workers & installers are employees, not contractors; and that they manufacture some of the products in their own facility. read more
