They take a copy of your driver's license. Pretty standard routine before you actually see the Dr. The usual tests like blood pressure, weight, urine sample etc. Dr Stout is a lovely Dr. She has the most kind, and generous bedside manners. Very knowledgeable. She explained several different techniques that were possible to use, and I should think it over as to which one would work better for me. No pressure to have me schedule an operation, opted to try some medication instead. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a masked person sitting at a table ready to check you in. My appointment was on the second floor so I decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs. Signs are posted everywhere about stopping the spread of the Coronavirus. Upon entering my appointment I was greeted by an older receptionist who was not friendly or welcoming. At summit urology they are sanitizing everything including the pens you use to check in. I saw that everyone was wearing a mask except for the receptionist. Masks were available for patients, if you were not feeling well, and/or had a cough, otherwise they were not handed out freely. Dr Stout is a wonderful doctor. Very thorough, and has great bedside manner. She went over every option available, and even showed me an app I could download for the best prescription prices in the valley. Office location is close to the freeway entrance/exit so it's easy to get to.

We were referred here by a trustworthy nurse practitioner. The experience making the appointment…read morewas fine and they actually had an opening to get us in more quickly than normal. But that was the ONLY acceptable portion of the visit. After waiting for 35 minutes for the doctor, we hear him answer the phone in the hallway for another 10 minute conversation. The prescription required weekly injections which required "training" and an additional appointment. At checkout, the experience was chaotic. The scheduler did not understand the doctor's instructions and it took us another 30 minutes to get things figured out. After all was said and done, we were still unclear about the time of the next "training". When we called to verify, it turns out they did not get us on the schedule and we had to postpone treatment until they could "squeeze" us in. At the "training" appointment and a 15 minute wait, we were instructed by a PA for under 5 minutes and charged $100 for the visit. (That's $1,200/hour to learn how to do an injection.) Never again. We will find somewhere else who truly understands the value of a customer.

I did not know that this hospital will charge me almost $800 and my out of pocket $550. It is apparently the most expensive Ultrasound in my life. I would choose zero stars if I could. I'll summarize what this "clinic" offers. You get seen, not…read moreby a doctor, or a nurse or a PA, you get seen by the guy at the front desk who does phone calls and scheduling. Then, Jason Silva will come in, make a huge pitch about the amazing things their treatment will offer you. "Restore" this, "Regenerate" that. Lots of medical jargon and Jason will be in scrubs to look the "medical provider" part, but his actual title is Patient Care coordinator. Basically, he will assure you that this treatment will cure your men's health issues. Make you young again. The "treatment": 12 acoustic wave visits with a 4 week break in the middle. The price quoted to me: $5,850 and they will put it on easy no interest financing for 24 months. (they don't take insurance) I trusted the pitch, the "clinic" and the claims they made. I signed up for the care. Prior to all of your visits you will get reminder texts that state; your next visit with Joshua Schmidt, who is the actual M.D. for this clinic. However, I never saw the Doctor once. No exams, no consultations with an actual MD, NP or PA. Your treatment will be by Ralph, the man at the front desk, in street clothes. He will meet you in the "treatment" room where your man parts will be zapped by their acoustic wave therapy machine for 8 to 10 minutes. That's it. Nothing more. Oh, BTW, they will tell you that after the 12 visits you may elect to have follow up visits for $100 each. To me, that is the true "cost" of their care, not the thousands of dollars quoted. I never saw a single measurable or objective positive result. Nothing got better. Nothing was restored. I made several calls to the clinic director and the Patient Care coordinator, voicing my concerns. Their fix; keep coming in. I requested a refund. They told me there are no refunds. I asked about their business and medical ethics. They have my money and could not care less. If this sounds like the medical care you are looking for, go for it. He indicated that one of them had punctured the bladder wall and after trying unsuccessfully to remove it, he stopped and sent me home. My frequent urination as well as urgency has been ten times worse than before the procedure. Over the last three years I have had another urologist remove four urolifts that over time have also punctured the bladder wall and started to calcify in the bladder. In my opinion he is a terrible doctor and would NOT recommend seeing him for a urinating problem.

Chronic issues were affecting my quality of life and today, the day after my appointment with Lori I have a plan, a good plan for a healthy and happier life. Lori provided advice on lifestyle changes, such as diet modifications, maintenance medications that are preventative for frequent UTIs, and information to prevent or manage urinary problems. Lori educated me about estrogen loss and how it impacts bladder health. I would also like to acknowledge her PA McKay. He was extremely patient, kindness goes a long way when you're not feeling well, and he had an abundance of it.
