It was comforting when I first hired them to see the positive reviews, but when I examine further now, I wonder if it's because by the end of using the company, I can barely even talk further about them. So here I go.. I contacted them regarding installing a 12'x10' concrete pad and an overhang for my backyard to my residence. I saw the pictures and was in awe. In hindsight, I should have kept it moving. Nonetheless I reach out to one of the employees over a Facebook ad I saw and he gave me a fair estimate for the work. I almost immediately said yes and stopped contacting other contractors and companies. I sent pictures of what I envisioned and even a drawing to ensure I was communicating effectively. In turn, I was told I would eventually be contacted by staff. I waited to be contacted and wasn't within a week or so after being given an estimate. I then contacted the business directly and explained to them the estimate I received. Communication with this business was HORRENDOUS! It was frequently me following up to configure start dates and timelines. Nonetheless, the project was underway around May 1st or so depending on the weather. I was very excited and when the crew showed up, I found myself slightly more concerned. There was an advisement of possible damage to my garage pavement as concrete was being wheel barreled to the backyard. I said if any damage incurred, to let me know and they said they would. Luckily there no damage. I had work and I did not believe I needed to babysit a crew of people who knew what they were doing (presumably). So I left for work as they worked. After a few days of work, they informed me the project was complete. I did not think I would need to check every day after their work, so I tried to trust them. DO NOT TRUST THEM! My husband alerted me there was concrete splatter all on the back side of my house's newly added grey paint. You would think concrete would be difficult to see on top of grey paint, it absolutely was not difficult. To further complicate things, they didn't put concrete at a tilt slightly to avoid pooling water. My concrete slab pools directly in the middle of the concrete. Shortly after install, it also started to crack! But wait, there's more... The company decided to pour the leftover concrete over my river rock without even communicating to me they planned to dump the extra in my yard. If they would have told me, I had the perfect area they could have dumped it! My husband told me it was normal to pool off extra concrete but in a more subtle place of the yard. Not over river rock which is directly over my tree roots from a cherry tree. I immediately contacted the business and within a week received paperwork saying the project was complete. They were trying to have my complete this paperwork even though it was not complete! They agreed to come fix the issues finally after a little over a month goes by. The splatter, fixed. The concrete over river rock and tree, fixed. The pooling of water, NOT FIXED. So now I have to hire a company to fix the pooling of the water issue as the company advised they could not. They offered $200 off for the inconvenience. $200 for concrete work that elsewhere is going to cost me $1600 to fix. What an insult! They also offered to extend things such as the covering to cover the concrete for another $2800. They almost HAD ME! I wanted so badly to fix the concrete that I was willing to pay them more, to fix their mistakes. I am so disappointed with this company and lack of communication. They will get you with their great estimates but cannot follow through. Buyer beware!

I also really appreciate that the guys running the shop are low pressure, and super honest. I hired a contractor to replace the hardwoods in my craftsman. I loved the floors but some of the areas were beyond repair and I didn't think it was really possible to just replace the damaged areas without it being obvious - these old floors have patina and natural wear, and I was sure they'd been sanded down numerous times. My contractors was sure he could do it, but said to check out the floors at Seaport in case I wanted to do a full replacement. The guys at Seaport were so technical with the specific sanders and stains and finishes, I can see why my contractor sent me here. I ended up going with the repair instead of a full replacement, and I am so thankful that they convinced me. They saved my 50+ year old floors, they look and feel incredible. They looked through photos of my floors and picked out unfinished boards that were not just the same oak type, but even had similar grain patterns for the replacement boards. These guys are true masters of their craft and champions of old-world quality. Craftsmen like guys at Seaport are the secrete magicians that keep the charm alive in old homes in Portland. And if you're in the market for a full replacement, they have samples of all of their floors, finished and unfinished, and a lot (a ton!!) of smaller swatch samples you can take home to see in your space and to show your contractor your stain choices. If you've gone to a big box store and felt some expensive hardwoods, do yourself a favor and stop by Seaport and really feel the quality difference. When you hold it in your hand, you will know, I can't explain it. Thank you Seaport!!

We are thankful for the tough work they put into removing four large fir trees that were a threat to our home and our neighbors. We are also thankful with how they took on the difficulties of paperwork for permits, scheduling a structural engineer, and arranging a crane to safely bring the trunks of the fir trees down. Please show Tree North Tree kindness in return and be flexible when scheduling during fire season. Many of the crew are wild land firefighters in addition to providing your tree services.

Our neighbor gave us the name and number for Tree North. Owner Israel was very professional and patient with us during the estimation process. We had a couple family episodes that interrupted us just as we had an estimation appointment. Even so, Israel made it work and we eventually got things estimated and scheduled. Israel gave us a professional clear written estimate for the work, which came in handy during the HOA approval process. Apparently, tree removal is something to be approved. On the day of the job, Israel's team arrived -- Alex, Ramiro, and Frank showed up on time and we carefully reviewed the work to be done. Alex left me with his cell phone number in case of any questions, and then everyone got busy. Cut, cut, cut, trim, trim, trim, grind, grind, grind -- they worked quickly and safely. Alex and Ramiro were a two-man team on the giant ladder, and Frank expertly made each limb disappear into the grinding truck. At every stage, they cleaned up carefully after themselves. At the end of the day, Alex asked us to review -- we had a few more overhanging limbs that we wanted to go away, and so back up the ladder he went! A few minutes and some grinding later and we were done! In the end, the team at Tree North made it look easy and professional! Thanks, Tree North! And thanks to Israel, Alex, Ramiro, and Frank!
