We started with what was to be a straight forward driveway replacement. Old cracked/cast in place cement being replaced with pavers. Travis recommended lights and we agreed that was worthwhile based on the scope of what was being done, and this being something we will look at every day, multiple times per day. The pavers were also going to be extended to the front door replacing an additional old sidewalk. We didn't want the least expensive contractor. We wanted someone that was reasonably priced, who would stand behind their work. Bella Rosa is that company. The project turned out better than expected. The lights are icing on the cake. The pavers look phenomenal. All that said, there were a few hiccups along the way. Miscommunications on Bella Rosa's side related to what was discussed initially, and when the crew came out for installation. However, Travis always quick to reply, prompt to meet to work through the details and we were very satisfied. As the front was nearing completion we were so confident in Travis's team, Freddy was the foreman on our project, we added on additional things to the original scope. Including, redoing a flagstone walkway, cleaning out a side yard area, removing a layer of soil, adding stabilized decomposed granite, putting in lights along a back fence line. We can't recommend Bella Rosa highly enough. Travis and his team do very good work. And, when things come up, which is normal in construction, they will stand by their work and resolve any unexpected things. These are projects we could've DIY'd, but the result would not have looked as good, and would've required many months to complete.

Greenheart Landscaping owner, Suzette, has raised the bar for landscape and design companies. As…read morethe designer and contractor for her company, she created a unique and beautiful landscape using her design talent and knowledge of plants while having control of the installation process that insured the job was finished completely and on time. While you can purchase the design only, having Greenheart do the work as well guarantees it will be done correctly. Suzette handled the project from start to finish including the HOA and Irrigation approvals to the details in the finishing touches- we didn't experience any stress at all! The design Suzette drew up for us was exactly what we dreamed of- a Mediterranean look utilizing a wide variety of drought tolerant plants, a cobble creek, rocks and hardscaping. She created a space that draws us out to enjoy and explore with all five senses. It is truly unique and individualized- not a cookie cutter, impersonal run of the mill landscape. The crew of Greenheart did an amazing job, too, working through rain to finish our landscape in 3 weeks as scheduled. They worked seamlessly with Suzette and I could tell they cared as much about their work as she did, even checking back to make sure the new plants were "happy" in their new homes. It means a lot to us that Suzette values her crew as much as we value and appreciate them. It was a joy to work with Suzette and we connected in many ways making it easy to achieve our vision for our backyard. There is so much happening in our backyard now. My five year old daughter flits from plant to plant like a bee, exploring the wide variety of flowers and leaves which will change with the seasons. Even the boulders placed in strategic locations provide a fun place to just sit and enjoy her realm. It is a space to be experienced by all of us! We highly recommend Greenheart because of the quality of Suzette's design and her honest and ethical business model.

We had been sitting on a landscape design and needed someone to bring the vision to reality. Brandon immediately translated our plan into his software so we could discuss options and take on suggestions for improvement. He was quick and precise in making adjustments to appease our HOA and fit within our budget. The crew was meticulous in their work on the yard. If it was on the plan it was replicated in the yard. If we saw something that needed a slight adjustment they were happy to accommodate. I recall a situation where we needed a concrete walkway to go wider around an AC unit. The crew quickly responded by forming a wider path. Nate was great at scheduling project dates and also helped to make sure our AC units were reinstalled in a timely manner after our concrete was poured. We were relieved to have them up and running again before a forecasted heat wave arrived. Brandon was there at every stage of the project and was always quick to respond. He was at the nursery with us when it came time to choose the plants, making suggestions for plants that best fit our specific environment. During the middle of construction a rain storm hit our area and we had some concerns about how the yard would handle it in an unfinished state. He came out late at night to make sure the drainage would be okay until the storm passed. Upon completion of the project he was there to make sure everything was tidied up after the final walkthrough. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation on a yard install or remodel I would surely tell them to call Reliable Landscape and Design.

All was well and I was told I would receive an estimate in about a week. 4 weeks passed and I followed up with Nate. I thoroughly checked my spam folders to make sure I didn't miss anything but no such luck. Im disappointed in the experience and wasted time.

My first experience 4 thousand dollars was satisfactory enough that I felt OK having them back. However, the second experience was a complete disaster! Initially it took several calls to David and several missed appointments to even connect. David and I finally got together to discuss the work and I was given a tentative price of $6500.00, to"oh maybe $7000.00" for cement work and sprinkler repair. While discussing the work we downgraded from the original cement work requested, to lava rock, and then another downgrade from lava rock, to bark chips. Each time we discussed the downgraded medium, I was told by David that it would be a "big cost savings to me". When the work was finally done and the workers left there was a huge pile of debris in my front yard (picture below). I was told they would come back in one to two days to remove the mess! While the work was being done David was nowhere around and there was no one to walk the final job with me or to explain what had been done. As I checked the "finished" work myself, I found that the drip-system, that was requested and agreed upon, did not exist, the repairs to the existing sprinkler system still had several leaks, our gravel driveway had huge gouges, holes and divots from maneuvering their trucks around and most heart breaking the pile of debris in the front yard was thrown on top of an ornamental swan planter, a memento from our daughters wedding. I had to lift one of the rail road ties off the swan myself...I'm 78 years old! But the final blow was when one of the workers told me that David had asked that I give him the check for final payment of $6900.00. Where was the savings from the down grade from cement work, to lava rock, to bark chips? I should have said NO and had David come and explain the bill to me himself! I did talk to David about the unsatisfactory workmanship and missing items which have since been completed, but this experience has left me with a very negative impression of Santana Landscaping and a caution for others to make sure you get a quote in writing!

It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Cascadian transformed our rough blank slate into a beautifully finished, contemporary outdoor space. Bob and his team worked with us from initial design through final touches -- defining the elements that would fill the space (pool layout, pergola, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, flatwork...), balancing our wish list and budget, and building a cohesive, functional backyard with real "wow" factor. One thing that stood out was that, except for the pool installation, every part of the project was handled by Cascadian's own in-house crew -- no subcontractors, just a skilled team that's been with the company for years. They were punctual, courteous, and hard-working, with craftsmanship showing in every detail: a beautifully-built pergola, custom fire pit and seating area, sleek wall divisions, artificial turf areas, expertly-installed porcelain pavers, quality concrete work with properly-engineered sloping and integrated drainage, thoughtful plant selection and well-designed lighting from walkway lights to subtle plant uplighting--all top-notch! Special mention goes to Alex, the on-site construction manager, who took our sketches and inspiration photos and brought them to life exactly as we envisioned -- sometimes even BETTER! Friends are amazed when they see the "before" photos compared to the finished space. As with any large project, there were a few changes along the way--materials, color, size, shape--it happens. Bob/Cascadian handled them professionally, documenting any costs of those changes in Change Orders. So plan to reserve a bit "extra" for the inevitable change orders that you'll want to implement! The process was smooth, transparent, and delivered results beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Cascadian Landscaping for their craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a team that takes pride in their work. They turned our empty lot into a place we love coming home to and spending time in every day.
