My only complaint would be that I believe Options as a whole needs to step up their communication game when it comes to effectively getting information to parents. Instead of receiving compassion and immediate protection, the student was met with skepticism and a dismissive attitude from administration. (Dr F ) To make matters worse, the school allowed a mosh pit on the dance floor -- a completely unsafe and irresponsible choice at a school event. This created a chaotic environment where serious incidents could (and did) occur. A school's first priority should be the safety and well-being of its students. In this case, the lack of empathy, poor response, and failure to provide a safe environment showed me that this administration needs serious training and accountability. We were here watching a Wrestling Program. All the kids did a great job. I was attempting to sit in…read morethe gym bleachers to watch the wrestling match. The bleachers don't have handrails. The steps are extremely deep, more so than most steps. I just couldn't get up on the step to sit in the bleachers. A very nice wrestling student from Etiwanda High School and my husband helped me up. Everyone was very nice there however, I heard other wrestling watchers complaining about the steps with no handrails and how deep the steps are.
