As a local, we don't have too many choices for eyeglass stores. THREE times I've been in this place and the front desk staff have been utterly unhelpful and rude. These girls need to leave their Summit bubble and go work in the real world to see how to act in a professional, service oriented way. Three strikes they're out for me. I am leaving the country and realized I was out of Contact Lenes I went it to see if they can help me. This obnoxious woman sitting at the reception desk who needs to get off her high-horse, told me they can only give me contacts with a prescriptions. Which I did not have on me, since I order them online. I was willing to pay for a check-up so that they can give me a prescription and contact same day. All I wanted to know before I made the appointment was if they had my contacts in stock. She said, "no, i cant tell you" . I don't want to pay $100.00 for an appointment to only be told - what you want is not in stock. I will continue ordering my contacts online and if I need to wear my glasses so be it. I wont get anything from this place! read more

Dr Syverson is incredible. I had some accidental trauma and Dr Syverson made a point to see me the next day. luckily there wasn't any lasting damage, just a bad black eye. But Dr Syverson took ample time to go through a myriad of tests and took time assessing what was going on. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Syverson for any/all eye related needs. Staff Needs Training I waited a few feet away from three staff members who ignored me for an uncomfortable period of about five minutes. I asked for an appointment and provided my identification and health care cards. The staff got my sex wrong due to the dual use of my given name in our society. After very inefficient data entry, I was told that the staff was not familiar with my health care administrator and that I needed to contact them for details, a robo-call that passed me around. I work for a large area employer with a well-known provider. I asked whether an examination with eyes dilated would allow me to drive. The staff told me that I would have to ask the medical staff. I visited two other offices: one who was not in my network, but recommended me to another optometrist who offered fully-covered services. The staff at both of these other offices at the north end of Frisco were extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. The staff assured me that I could drive after the examination: no dilation needed with my Lasik eyes. I canceled my appointment with Summit Eye Center on Main Street. read more

The office feel is relaxed, clean, organized and professional. The many tests were conducted efficiently, and thoroughly, and the technician, Catherine demonstrated a nice combination of pleasant, interesting chit chat while running the tests without a pause. Dr. Cook absolutely saved my vacation. I tore my cornea in the dry mountain air, and not only did he see me on a Saturday, he also saw me Sunday night when things turned south again! I scheduled an eye appt as a returning patient to this office, and couldn't get in for a month. The day before my far out appt, they called and cancelled on me due to the doctor having to go into surgery. I call to reschedule, I tell them that my appt was cancelled and they try to schedule me several weeks out...I ask, "can't you fit me in sooner?" "Nope, that's the soonest appt we have." Absolutely nothing was done to attempt to accommodate the fact that I was past due and on my last pair of contacts because they cancelled on me. So I said "I guess I'll go somewhere else" and her response was "Okay, bye!" Terrible customer service, they don't value their patients and I will never return to this office. read more

Cannot say thank you to Dr. Syverson enough! I'm from Chicago and was visiting Breckenridge for a wedding I was in, when I unfortunately scratched my cornea really bad. Dr. Syverson squeezed me in between appointments and went above and beyond to make sure I was going to be as comfortable as possible during the wedding. I've been wearing glasses for about 20 years and have never received such excellent care, especially from someone who's not my normal eye doctor. After 3 days I'm finally feeling back to normal. Evasive, dishonest, unprofessional! No problem with the optometrist but, watch out for the retail side of the business. My spouse had ordered non prescription Oakley glasses and was promised a delivery date. We had ordered them on that condition but were willing to take some in stock glasses if they could not deliver. Not only did summit eye center fail to deliver as promised but, when we dropped in for an update one associate told us the glasses would be another ten days while another associate told us they would be delivered that day. The first one was correct. We also had them install new lenses in an existing frame. The bifocal on the lenses was (is) incorrectly ground. We were told to give the glasses some time. After three weeks we took them back. It turns out they don't warranty their product. read more

I got my glasses here. They had a lot of choice which was nice and the staff was very helpful. I got my eyes checked as well. I have very sensitive eyes and the doctor made sure I was comfortable while doing the check up. All in all great center. read more

i like Dr. Syverson and Darshan (retail side of business). Both were professional and considerate. I can not say that for Karen C (Dr Cooks wife and co-owner who is also the manager). I was treated very unprofessionally regarding something entirely out of my control. Here is what happened: I gave them a nice pair of frames to have my new script installed, paid for the lenses and they were sent off for installation. Well, during the installation the frame was broken. So they offered some credit for a new frame which i felt was unfair so over the course of two phone conversations I tried to speak to Karen about not be satisfied with what they were offering. I was treated very unprofessionally. During the first phone call Karen was very abrupt with me and i was not given a chance to express where I was coming from (i.e. situation out of my control, and can them provide a better credit). During our second phone conversation I was accused of 'nickel and dime'ing' them and there is no room for negotiating. In fact I feel I was being 'nickeled and dime'd' by them. I would have been happy and satisfied have they budged just a little bit. Instead it cost them a customer. read more

Unbelievably incompetent. Wish I could note negative stars. When you are asked to sign a release before they tighten screws on the hinge, it should tell you something. Not more than two minutes later, my glasses were handed back to me in two pieces. The employee took it upon himself to over tighten screws on the end piece (which I never asked him to do) and broke off the two screws holding the temple to the rim. He offered to gouge the screws out of the wooden frame. I wouldn't let him near them again. I encountered a nice gentleman at a wood shop down the street who helped me glue the pieces back together so that I could see. read more

Only because 0 stars is not an option. I purchased glasses here and they were horrible. My first visit there was dogs running all over and the place stunk of animals(totally unprofessional), Picking up my glasses was worse. The young kid downstairs that hovered around me pressured me into a lens I cannot see out of. He was pushy and rude at times. Such a waste of money I'm so unhappy and they couldn't care less.
