Let me start off with the good. Dr Eric was awesome and really gave me some great long term vision advise while doing the eye exam. My experience getting glasses there was terrible. I was told not to worry about the frame color because they were easy to swap. When I showed up to get my specs, the staff member was clearly struggling to swap out the lenses. It took almost 5 weeks to get the glasses and frames done right. Not a lot of communication, just a bad experience. So get your eye appointment with Dr Eric, but buy glasses and frames elsewhere. read more

I've been to EyeTech Optometry twice now for my annual eye exam and have been very pleased with their services. Staff is very knowledgable, friendly and thorough with their exam procedures. Definitely worth paying the small extra fee for their high tech scanning procedure vs having to deal with getting your eyes dilated. I just wanted to share my experience of Dr Dave who I went to see after being diagnosed with a condition in my eye. While I went for a second opinion and I was in shock, I found Dr Dave lacking empathy, judgemental attitude and lacked the knowledge to educate me on the condition to gain some sort of understanding. Staff is Excellent! After a poor experience with the staff at another office in Frisco, I arrived at Eye Tech Optometry. The office is conveniently located behind the Frisco Transit Center, the county bus network station, near Whole Foods. The staff had an immediate and friendly greeting for me. I was quickly and efficiently processed for an appointment. I asked whether I could operate a motor vehicle after an examination, knowing that my Lasik eyes should not be puff-tested. I was assured that my eye examination did not require dilation drops: they use new technology to examine the retina. The staff recognized my insurance provider and assured me that all services are fully-covered. read more

Hands down best eye care center I've ever been to. The ladies upfront are super personable and helpful. My insurance was finicky at first but it worked out. I broke my brand new glasses within a month of getting them and got my new frames for free within a week (it was also a holiday) Also I went in yesterday without an appointment to get them tightened because they kept sliding off my face. In the 5 mins I was there they tightened my glasses and ordered me a new pair of lenses for them (for free) because they where under warranty. (I didn't even know about that.)If you wear glasses or contacts you should go here!!!! They are the best. They also like my dog, which wins my business every time. 10/10 read more

After 5 years of being a patient I left for college on the East Coast and have continued to make my appointments during summers. I am working at a Marine Lab and my glasses are fogging up. I called asking for an appointment to explore contact lenses last minute as I am home and begged to be fit in to a full schedule. I was told that there was absolutely no way to be squeezed in. Living in the mountains I know that schedules change and accommodations are made often. The inflexibility and lack of patient appreciation is incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I will be finding a new doctor. read more

The good: The optometrist I saw was really great. The bad: The office staff is absolutely HORRIBLE! I showed up for my exam and they said they had called my insurance and everything was covered minus a small deductible which I paid on the spot. After my visit, I received a large bill. I called and the lady I talked to affirmed that she was the one who called insurance and it was supposed to be covered. She said she would look into it and call me back. She never called back so I thought it was good. I then received another bill in the mail. Called them again, left a detailed message, never heard from them, thought it was taken care of and then got another bill. Called again, was told I was responsible regardless of the fact they made a mistake and the manager didn't know the details but offered zero effort to figure it out and said I need to pay. I called my insurance only to find out that business is not in network. If they had truly called my insurance like they said they did, they would have been told that and I would not have gone to the appointment. I would prefer them to just have told me to confirm with insurance in the first place vs. them saying they called, giving me bad info and then charging me for their mistake! read more

Worst eye exam experience in 20 years of wearing glasses and contacts. I called to inquire about the cost of a contact lense consultation. It wasn't until I was in the chair that they told me there was an additional charge for glasses and contacts. I could have forgiven this, but the doctor was completely unprofessional. He diagnosed me without astigmatism, which I have had since I was a child. When I questioned him he claimed maybe it was the other doctors who had all been wrong. Not until I pressed him did he put me back in the chair, where I was completely blind with the non astigmatism lenses he prescribed. When I told him I couldn't see, he sauntered off, gave me an astigmatism lense, and seemed irritated. The whole experience was incredibly passive aggressive and not at all thorough. I will never return, recommend no one visit here, and would honestly demand my money back if I thought it would get me anywhere. read more
