She's friendly, explains what she's doing, and takes time to answer questions without acting rushed. She also screens for color blindness, which is an important test, but I've never been tested by a clinical provider. She is also aware of vision accessibility tools, including phone settings, which is a nice plus for people who might need that support or suggestions. The admins are kind, helpful, and patient.

He then informed me that while my eye insurance is in network with them, my medical is not and I would have to pay out of pocket for the exam... 125 out of pocket, as well as still come back later that week and pay again. I informed them I would go elsewhere at that point. I was told I would need to give the sample contacts back out of my eyes and retrieve the contacts he had thrown in the trash if I wanted to see to go home. Horrible experience, felt like I was being extorted to be able to see to drive home.

My husband recently had something like a "shade" suddenly appear and block the upper field of…read morevision in his right eye. Of course, this happened after hours on a Friday evening. We did a bit of a search online, and it seemed he likely had a torn/detached retina. The Mayo Clinic website said it was an emergency and needed to be treated asap. Therefore, my husband called the large Littleton eye practice we'd been using the last 4 years. It was ~7:00 pm. The answering service told him the docs there work m-f from 8-5 - call back Monday morning. Husband told her he thinks he has a detached retina, that it's an emergency, don't they have any provision to see an established patient experiencing an emergency, and she repeated, "call back Monday morning." Meanwhile, I was searching "emergency eye care" online, and Eye Consultants of Colorado in Conifer (15 minutes from our home) was the first result. With very low hopes that he'd get an answer different from the last, I passed the phone number to my husband. Dr. Scott Morris answered the phone (@7:15 pm Friday evening). He listened to my husband's description of what was happening with his eye, and asked him to meet at his office in 30 minutes! Dr. Morris opened his office for Richard, did a thorough exam and confirmed that he did have a detached retina that needed attention asap. He connected Richard with a great retina surgeon/specialist who saw him the next morning, did all the preop tests and performed the surgery Monday morning. Richard's eye is healing really well, and we cannot thank Dr. Morris enough for how well he handled this emergency. I can't imagine Richard would have had the surgery as quickly as he did without Dr. Morris' help. It's been 3 weeks now, and we are (obviously) former patients of the large Littleton eye practice (who did call back the following Tuesday!), and happy to be new patients of Dr. Morris. My husband was examined and fitted for new glasses (since surgery changed his vision Rx). He reports it was an excellent experience. Everyone working with Dr. Morris has been caring, helpful and very professional. We've told all our friends and neighbors about Dr. Morris' practice. Aside from saving us a lot of extra driving time/miles, he definitely feels extremely well cared for and confident we now have the very best eye doctor! Highly recommend!

I asked how long the complete eye exam would take and she said it could take up to an hour. I have an 11:00 am appointment so I said that I am upset and I could not do my exam now. if this was the first time this had happened I would not have been so upset but it appears to be the norm. it certainly appears that scheduling appointments tightly and realizing maximum profits is the priority over patient care and respect. I was referred to Dr. Cook for an emergency retinal examination late on a Friday afternoon. My…read moreeyes had been recently viewed by doctors at two other vision centers that did not detect any significant retinal problems. However, Dr. Cook thoroughly examined my eyes and discovered a small retinal tear. Dr. Cook was able to arrange emergency LASER surgery in Denver for Friday evening. Dr. Cook has also gone above and beyond to contact me regarding my progress with several subsequent surgeries. Dr. Cook is soft-spoken, but an excellent professional practitioner.
