Dr, Amedro insisted my husband have X-rays even though he had just had X-rays with our home dentist about 6 weeks ago. After x rays Dr. Amedro glued my husbands crown back on (this may have taken 10 minutes) and charged us $194! We were stunned. This is absolutely outrageous. We would not recommend this dentist unless you feel like you want to be robbed. They should be ashamed of what they charged us for this!!!! UPDATE: We sent Dr. Amedro an email last night saying how upset we were with these charges and he responded immediately saying it was an honest mistake and that his office would be in touch with us today to refund a portion of these charges. We were pleased that he responded and admitted this was a mistake. Stay tuned.

I was told I have periodontal disease and needed an expensive deep cleaning instead of a normal cleaning. I did not get a normal cleaning at the time. I did some research and talked with a relative abroad who is a dentist and decided not to do the deep cleaning. Instead, I got an appointment for a normal cleaning. They kept me waiting for 45 minutes. The cleaning was done by the dentist, not an hygienist. He put the air water syringe into my mouth and started to clean my teeth. The water was pouring into my mouth and I was gagging. I said too much water is coming in. Every single time he cleaned one part, he asked me to move my face to a different direction. I remarked that I had never experienced a dentist doing the cleaning. He said he does not have enough workers. Apparently, the office only has an expensive deep cleaning hygienist. After less than 10 minutes, he said he was done. He said my teeth are very clean. The same dentist who weeks earlier wanted to sell me an expensive deep cleaning. I was quite upset.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to visit Summit Dental for their evaluation of what was happening. A co-worker recommended this group and he gave me the impression from his experience that they were honest. I've only been there once, but I can say, so far so good. Cara my dental assistant was very personable and professional, Dr. Marcincin gave me the most thorough dental check up I have ever had in my life. She found the cause of my issue and referred me to Dr. Tony Kardelis in Frisco for a possible root canal, which I already suspected was the issue. She also did some minor grinding down of a filling, which by the way she kept checking in, like my beloved dentist back home, I presume she's a no pain and careful dentist. On my way out, front desk was awesome. I think it was Lyndsey who explained in detail everything my insurance covered, Delta Dental (which was the entire bill) and what I would likely be looking at at the Frisco office and how best to manage what's left of my benefits for this year. Looks like I won't be flying back to beautiful New Jersey just yet, though it would have been nice to see family. Thanks Summit Dental Group! I hope to have found a trusted office in Colorado.

The office charged me $55 for a co-pay and billed my insurance for a pain treatment that I NEVER GOT! Insurance paid it as seen on EOB. Called office and insisted they correct both issues. Billing girl supposedly refunded my insurance company for the $103 they got for pain treatment they didn't deliver. Honest mistake? Or purposeful improper billing? Will never know! I suspect this billing to insurance for services not rendered - is common and rampant throughout the medical & dental practices. It is called INSURANCE FRAUD!

So take each review with a grain of salt, as some are reviewing the PCP office, and some are reviewing the dental office; it seems the dental office has great reviews and my experience was no different. Dr. Ha was incredibly thorough, took the time to explain everything in detail, and made sure I understood my treatment options without ever making me feel rushed. I really appreciated how knowledgeable, patient, and attentive everyone was. The staff was also friendly and welcoming, which made the entire visit a positive experience. The only thing that is somewhat irritating, is that first appointment is strictly only for the X-rays and evaluation. Even if you don't need any dental work, your cleaning is scheduled for a separate appointment, so you'll need to come back another day for that. It wasn't a huge problem, but it is kind of inconvenient having to plan my schedule around two separate appointments. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of care and would definitely recommend this office. Just be aware that you'll likely need two visits-one for the evaluation and another for your cleaning.

One dentist's name came up time after time with positive reviews so I gave his office a call and made an appointment to see him. I don't think I am alone in saying that I am petrified of dentists but as soon as I met Dr. Paul I was immediately put at ease by his warm and welcoming personality. The fact that he is from the East Coast (as am I) and graduated from some very good schools in New Jersey didn't hurt either. He quickly assured me that my broken filling wasn't as bad as I had feared and he promptly put in a temporary and we decided to schedule a followup appointment for a new crown - which is made in-house. Dr. Amedeo was recommended to us and we wish we had found him sooner. He and his entire staff actually make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. His staff is friendly and efficient, they work diligently with our insurance company to make sure they pay up. Most importantly, the dental work is top notch. My wife was an oral surgeons assistant for 27 years and she says he is the best dentist she has ever been to. That says a lot! The staff have been very professional and accommodating of my schedule for appointments. The expertise was exactly what I needed to achieve such good results. I have used this practice for 5 years for all my regular dental needs and have never been dissatisfied. My teeth are healthy and beautiful. I would recommend them for all dental services they provide.
