I just want people to be aware of what really happens in this school and not just what they want you to see. Their curriculum is quite behind public schools. There are a lot of staff members who are very rude to parents and children. I have been pushed by a teacher. This teacher then targeted my children and made them very uncomfortable and a toxic learning environment them. They came home crying daily because of her and how the school handles situations. The administration does not handle bullying. They let it go and let your kids continue to be bullied even after it is brought to their attention. They will say 'boys will be boys and if you don't like it please find another school." The favoritism in the school runs crazy through the school. Kids of teachers and staff go for free, but the kids whose parents pay do not get treated fairly. Let me remind you this is supposed to be a christian school. You could not pay me to send my kids there. Those are not the kind of people I want my kids looking up to or learning about Jesus from. They did not show any grace when my kids were there. My kids are straight A students who don't cause trouble. The even went as far as to tell me I couldn't pick up my child early and actually held my child in school and refused to give him to me. I spoke to the police and this is child stealing. They broke many laws while we were there and try to cover them up. They told my husband that they wanted our heads on sticks and this is very offensive since we are Native Americans. When my children left they refused to send transcripts to their new school and still have not sent official transcripts over. The superintendent yelled at us and would only speak over you and would not hear us out. The principal would let board members do what they wanted, but not just regular parents. She also refused me my children on multiple occasions. My son cut his head open on the playground and again would let a board member in the school, but would not let me inside to get him even though he was bleeding from his head and his nose and we had to go straight to urgent care to get him fixed. They made me wait outside when all my son wanted was his mother. My children are at a new school and thriving. They win awards constantly and we have never had any trouble. I just want you to talk to people who have been there and left and you will see what really goes on in this school. My kids always tell me that it was a really bad place and they would never want to go there again no matter what. I wish I knew this before I enrolled my kids there and spent our hard earned money to be treated like we were so far below them, because we felt we are not your average white family and we certainly do not make a lot of money. There are other things that go on in older grades with teachers that I do not feel comfortable talking about, just please do your research. Beware my kids attended this school and I just pulled them out this past year. 1. Four kids that attended summit shot up a house, this just tells you what kind of school it is. 2. My kids told me that students are selling and doing drugs in the bathroom stalls. 3. The school did a "random" hair test and didn't inform the parents until after they had taken the hair. Also, they said it was going to be a hair follicle test, but they just cut chunks out of the student's hair rather than plucking it and took way more than needed. Other problem they had with the hair test, was that they used the same pair of scissors on each student and never wash them once. On one student, the guy cut his figure open on the scissors, sucked on his figure, and continued cutting his hair. It gets worst... 5. Summit/Assembly was raising money for a gym and I gave money, along with other parents, and they told us it would be done by one of my kids senior year... well it's been 2 years since my kid has graduated and no gym. Supposedly they took the money and built a brand new children's center instead. I wasn't giving money towards a children's center, and either were the rest of the parents that gave, but they just covered that up. Last but not least... 6. One of the pastor's son which was 26 at the time was texting a sophomore girl that attended summit, and they were planning on having sex... but of course they just covered it up for a couple years and acted like nothing happened. I am a fairly recent Summit graduate from 2015, I've attended Summit Christian Academy for about 10+ years now. Albeit, my attendance at Summit was a bit atypical. I initially attended Summit from Kindergarten to the 2nd Grade. My parents had decided try public school for awhile but changed their minds soon thereafter. After that, I returned to start my 6th Grade year and stayed all the way to my Senior graduation. I still distinctly remember going to my local elementary public school for the 3 gap years and having to consistently deal with blatent bullying that I had endured there. Finally, my parents had decided enough was enough and promptly moved both me and my sister back to Summit. Since most of the kids I remembered in Second Grade were still attending, I quickly warmed up to both old and new friends and teachers without much of the typical culture shock. Frankly, Summit Christian Academy was an absolutely amazing school to grow up in and later became the place where I met some of my most trusted and treasured friends to date. I still, on occasion, visit many my old highschool teachers and some of my lower classmen who've left such an impact on me while growing up. all of these reviews were written by administration at summit christian other then one of them.. the largely negative one. i had three students go through and graduate from the school. it has been one of the bigger regrets i have made pertaining to raising my children. Its not the worst school in broken arrow and deffinetaly better then the public schools.. but all of the concerns voiced by the unknown review i would have to admit to the validity of them. the drug problem was something i was SHOCKED by at the school and then the relationship with the student by the pastors son who was a music teacher at the school (which was NOT reported to other parents of the school which angered me greatly) and then recently the three boys who were involved in the shooting.. in my opinion your money would be better spent at another one of the private schools in the area. read more

Please go read this article which outlines in more detail than I can how this school just pulled a 5 year old's Kindergarten place days before she was due to start due to her parents being married lesbians. The school had accepted the child over two years previously, and apparently had no issue taking the couple's money at that time. In a recording of the meeting between this couple and the principal of Summit Academy, the latter also states that Muslim children are not welcome, either. I believe the couple may be bringing legal action against this school if it can be proved that they have used any taxpayer's money while openly discriminating against others on the grounds of sexual orientation and religion. The school does Christianity a disservice by denying a child the opportunity to learn because of the perceived sin of the parents. It only seems to apply to homosexual parents though because there are plenty of people who go there I assume who have parents who are remarried or have committed sin. Summit is just using Christianity to further promote intolerance. It's shameful. As long as you are good at hiding your sin I guess you would be ok sending your kid to this school. I feel bad for any kids there who are unsure of their sexuality and now feel like they should be ashamed or have to hide who they are just to please a bunch of presumably old obese white men with egos and attitudes. read more

This school is a joke, there is no support from the teachers there is constant bullying by students who do not have to follow rules due to the amount of money there parents donate to the school. Want to see your kids picture in the year book? other than the class photo of course...well you better be a big sponser of the school. read more

I like going to Summit. It's been good for me. My little sister loves it too. Public school is crazy big. I feel more comfortable with these teachers. Everyone knows each other. Not a perfect school but I am happy. read more
