I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially families or pregnant women looking for a…read moresafe and professionally managed place to live. I will be attaching photos because people deserve to see the reality of what I experienced while living here.
I had maintenance problems from the beginning of my lease. Throughout my time here, I dealt with ongoing issues involving cleanliness, maintenance, communication, pest control, and poor preventative maintenance that created constant stress for me and my family. There were outlets that did not work properly, breezeway cleanliness concerns, unresolved maintenance issues, and repeated situations where I had to constantly follow up just to get concerns acknowledged.
One of the most alarming situations happened when an outlet burned and popped while my children were using their tablets. It was extremely dangerous and frightening as a parent. Maintenance came and replaced the outlet, asked no questions, gave no real explanation, and simply left. There was no follow-up, no concern shown about the safety risk, and no effort to inspect whether there were larger electrical issues that could impact my family or other residents.
I also have photos of extremely dirty air filters that clearly showed a lack of proper preventative maintenance. As someone with children, allergies, asthma concerns in my household, and while being pregnant, this was very concerning to me. Preventative maintenance should not be neglected to the point residents are questioning the air quality and cleanliness inside their homes.
The worst part was the ongoing roach problem. I woke up with roaches in my bed while pregnant and repeatedly asked management to properly spray not only my apartment, but the surrounding units and building because bugs do not stay isolated to one apartment. I had to ask multiple times for my entire apartment to actually be sprayed properly after pest control visits felt rushed and incomplete. Despite my repeated complaints, I never felt this issue was handled with the seriousness or urgency it deserved.
I also filed formal complaints with corporate regarding targeted harassment, professionalism concerns, intimidation, and mismanagement involving the property manager, Marcelina. Whenever I raised concerns or advocated for myself as a tenant, I often felt threatened with lease infractions instead of my concerns being handled professionally. Communication frequently turned argumentative and dismissive rather than solution-oriented, which created an uncomfortable living environment and made me feel intimidated for simply reporting legitimate issues within my home.
These concerns were documented through emails and written communication, yet I do not feel corporate properly investigated or addressed the situation. Instead of feeling supported as a resident, I often felt ignored, dismissed, and emotionally exhausted from constantly having to fight for basic living conditions and respectful treatment.
There were also ongoing frustrations involving communication and billing concerns, including issues involving my water bill and management's overall handling of resident concerns. Everything became a constant battle instead of residents being treated with care, respect, and professionalism.
As a pregnant mother, this experience caused unnecessary emotional distress and added stress that nobody should have to deal with in the place they call home. The most disappointing part is that many of these concerns were documented with photos, emails, maintenance requests, and repeated communication.
At this point, I genuinely believe this property needs a deeper investigation regarding maintenance standards, preventative maintenance practices, resident safety concerns, and the way tenant complaints are handled. Future residents should thoroughly inspect units, document everything in writing, and advocate strongly for themselves from day one.
