Very prompt and professional and not at all condescending. Tyler left a lot of room to ask questions and earnestly answered each one!

This might be the weirdest Yelp review I've ever written. Because, really, it's kinda odd to review…read moreyour divorce lawyer. But here it goes. Yes. I had to get a divorce. It was kinda awful. At the time. Turns out it was the best thing ever, but when you get hit with a shit storm because you find out about insane soap opera like betrayals you kinda lose your shit. And you need someone to help you through it. Besides my friends and family, Arthur Sneider was that person for me. (Full disclosure: I also call Arthur my friend, I worked as an intern for him when I was a law student). And yes, even lawyers need divorce lawyers. I needed someone to tell me what to do. And when to do it. And tell me when I was being cray-cray. Arthur talked me off many a ledge. Something I do with my clients on a regular basis. But I was so out of it I couldn't see that I had turned into the crazy client I always talk about. Doh. But divorce, even when it's the best thing for everyone, is stressful. You have to divide shit and argue about who gets the fucking Playstation 3 (seriously, that happened) and you have to deal with the serious financial repercussions. And sometimes you don't have perspective. Arthur gave me perspective (but also let me try for crazy things like pet support- it didn't work, but he let me be a wee bit nutters). Anyway- I know from being both Arthur's client and employee that he is responsive, attentive, and will do his best for you. As an attorney you can never, ever guarantee results, but I trusted Arthur to do his best and give me the best advice available. The end result? I worked out an agreement with the ex-Husband, we had our hearing, I did a fist pump and happy dance as I was leaving the court room, and I'm free. I'm fucking free. And no amount of stars can express how happy I am about that.

Working with Arthur Sneider during an already difficult legal situation added enormous stress rather than reducing it. I experienced serious communication issues, conduct I perceived as highly unprofessional and disrespectful, and interactions that left me feeling unsupported, dismissed, deeply disappointed, and constantly overstressed. I expected clear communication, sound judgment, and professionalism during a vulnerable time. Instead, I found the experience emotionally exhausting. I often felt unheard and concerned by conduct I personally found troubling and inappropriate for an attorney-client relationship. Most disturbing to me was feeling that personal information and vulnerabilities I shared in confidence were later used against me in ways that felt hurtful and demeaning. Clients should feel safe with their attorney, not afraid to speak openly. (Attached are examples of the type of communication and interactions I personally experienced while working with Attorney Sneider). Based on my experience, I would never recommend him, especially for sensitive family law matters.

Good couple's counselor if you need help with communication with your ex, but not a good mediator! Knowing my ex had an abusive past and police had been involved she'd still shut the door for "privacy" when she left or let him go on the entire duration of the mediation and take over the whole time so nothing got resolved when I urged for some firmness. Also felt pushed to agree to his many demands while mine were pushed in back burner. In the end it ended up being a lot more expensive because mediator let the time run and him take his time. She then submitted notes stating agreement to things I had not agreed to and making me feel guilty for not going back. You should use a lawyer instead! They are much better at this. Her background made this seem like couple's counseling which might be good if you are both sane caring individuals who need help with communication; not dealing with someone with past domestic violence and anger issues. She has not clue of the terrible legal ramifications of her notes and actions that now I have to deal with even after the mediation failed!

Aside from office staff being incredibly rude it seems Sheryl handles many areas of law and is not necessarily a "Special Needs" planner/ lawyer as she listed on the website and in her video. She seems nice enough in her video but when the office is so rude to potential clients that is a red flag. Its not 100% clear but it appears this is primarily a litigation firm that does estate planning on the side and then maybe?? has some interest in Special Needs? You can tell this from the fact they have an "intake" person - Kelly - who is quite condescending. Firms that take on cases have "intake" staff. This is not what one expects from an estate planning lawyer/office let alone one that claims to focus on Special Needs. This is particularly egregious as too many law firms and planners claim to handle Special Needs planning when really they just see as a slight variation on regular trusts - which is what causes issues for families down the road. They don't have the depth of knowledge or vested interest that TRUE Special Needs planners and lawyers have. Can only hope that eventually these type of law firms will catch on that having staff condescend to and treat potential clients rudely is not a winning formula.

No discovery was done and we only appeared in Court twice, once for a motion hearing and again to present a full settlement agreement. The emergency motion was filed by my ex-husband and only necessary due to Attorney Shemim's advice for me to change the locks to our former marital home. This was an action I wouldn't have taken otherwise, ultimately escalated the amount of animosity in the case and the judge disapprovingly viewed as a form of self-help. Somehow this all amounted to attorney's fees exceeding $82,000, the last $19,000 or so I am being repeatedly hounded for while several requests to discuss my billing continue to be ignored. Their paralegal has an hourly rate comparable to what many firms charge for a mid-level associate, and over billed for simple administrative tasks (i.e. two hours to divide the numbers on my biweekly paycheck in half). This was not a high-net worth case, there were no unusual or extraordinary issues to be dealt with, and the total amount billed for a matter that was resolved in less than a year actually exceeded the amount I received as a settlement. I would have ended up in a better position financially if I didn't have counsel at all. I ended up negotiating the final terms of the settlement directly with my ex anyway. Perhaps this firm is great for those who are extremely wealthy where the total amount of legal fees is of no concern, but for anyone like myself, making a living as an RN, expect to pay top-notch prices while consistently being treated as a low-priority client. There are certainly better options out there.

My friend was found with guns in his dorm room that he brought from Texas (Texas-sized guns). We needed someone to help him through the court system, especially after he had fully cooperated with his investigation and his time was all but guaranteed. I interviewed multiple attorneys, and came across Kristin. Kristin helped reverse my friends "dangerousness" decree and had him bailed with zero deposit. Kristin immediately helped un-impound my friend's motorcycles, so they could stop accumulating fees and I could take them off the tow lot. Kristin understood that community engagement from our school would be important: Kristin and I coordinated 20-40 people per trial date, she solicited student support letters and more, all of which moved the court to greatly reduce my friend's sentencing. Kristin has also continued to communicate with our university to delay administrative punishment until well after the trial, when my friend will be able to represent himself with a clear mind. Thanks to Kristin, with good time my friend could be free in approximately one year with no felonies, down from 9+ of mandatory sentencing with multiple felonies. Personally I found Kristin extraordinarily kind and professional. She was able to achieve a plea bargain against a prosecutor who seemed uncommonly difficult to negotiate with, and help save my friend's life from going completely off the rails after his stupid mistake. I highly recommend Kristin Weberg to anyone looking for a defense attorney. Best, Alex

As a defense attorney, Attorney Weberg is exactly what you want on your side and in your corner:…read moresomebody who is thoughtful and experienced with the system but also genuinely cares about their clients from a deeper principled standpoint. She brings her A-game to the table, a professional for whom the work is not just a job. It's hard to convey just how important this is if you are not familiar with the inside of a court room: interacting with our criminal justice system can feel like being faced with a dispassionate uncaring brick wall, with bored court reporters, a prosecutor with her own career considerations who won't put her phone down and stop texting people from the courtroom, and bailiffs making laughing comments to each other as we all wait for the judge who is off doing something, and all the meanwhile the giant system is grinding along toward potentially doing something painful for someone you care about. In that context, when faced with an enormous unfamiliar system that is designed to dispense justice dispassionately and disinterestedly from behind a bored blindfold, what you need is a professional in your corner to help you navigate, someone who thoroughly understands the system backwards and forwards and who also cares about your best interest and wellbeing as a person. Attorney Weberg is that person, and her job feels incredibly challenging. The rule of law is imperfect and is also designed to remove opportunities for personal connection that might bias a decision. Feeling that from the inside can feel like getting sucked into the gears of a giant ticking watch, and her role is to speak truth as a thoughtful person of principle to a giant bored grinding imperfect system, and articulate to that system in ways it understands that you or someone you care about has made a mistake, but is still a person at the end of the day. It's a rare breed of person who can do that day after day and year after year for thousands of people and amass the experience needed to be a useful advocate without growing cynical and jaded, and yet Attorney Weberg has done just that. Hopefully we will never need her practice again, but if we do she is the one we will be contacting.
