I've been living here for almost 3 years now. While it's listed on here as "Apartments", the place…read moreis actually a bunch of condos. We have a private owner that we work directly with on anything from rent to maintenance. The grounds are pretty well kept. A lawn crew is out there once a week and there's a maintenance crew that's always out and about fixing whatever is needed. Every few months the place is pressure washed and repainted. There's usually plenty of parking here. All parking areas are well lit. I can tell you there's a gym here, although I've never been to it, a pool, a tennis court, and a car wash port. The pool is pretty nice. Just be careful if you try to go to the pool after hours. There's a bunch of cranky old people that live around it and they'll threaten to call the cops on you, even if you're not actually disturbing anyone. The only downside is that some of the people that live here are pretty dumb. I'm not sure how so many people struggle with using a trash compactor. It's pretty common to see trash piled up in front of it because people don't push their trash all the way into the compactor, so it just builds up right in the front. The management has posted notices on everyone's door explaining the proper usage, but people are still failing. Overall, it's a nice place. If you can find an open unit, it's a cheap option for staying in a great area of Longwood.

We just spent 10 days in an owner-rented 1 bed 1 bath condo. We had a fantastic stay! We arranged…read morethrough HomeAway/VRBO and everything went smoothly. Our unit was pet-friendly for our small beagle and we did pay a slightly higher deposit, which is expected. The unit was clean, modern, and well-appointed, although to what extent can vary depending on who you rent from. We generally rent a condo or house when visiting Orlando for the space and being able to use a full kitchen and laundry. Also, the cost is generally FAR less than hotels in the area. You may not be able to step right out to the Disney Monorail, but other than that, renting a condo far outweighs the other options. All told, we paid $64/night for our stay. You really can't beat it. Legacy Dunes is on the smaller side as far as places we have rented. There are 2 pools, a fitness room, a game room/lounge with air hockey and table tennis, a tennis court, a golf cage, and a couple of open grass areas for whatever else you might want to do. There are also pet walking areas with short trails and poop bags/cans out and about. There are no elevators, so if you require one for any reason, keep that in mind. As this visit was in the off season, the facilities were really pretty quiet...no more than 10-15 people down at the main pool most of the time. Parking was no trouble either. The property is very well maintained and we noted FAR more security here than any other place we've stayed, with guards making regular rounds. This property is TRULY gated, unlike most others, and while it can seem like a hassle it is a great feature. We never worried about our safety or our cars here. A lot of places have an unmanned gatehouse you can just cruise right by...not here. Without the key card you are NOT getting in. Tucked back off 192 but VERY close to everything...15 minutes tops to Disney, a little longer to the other parks that require a jaunt up I-4, and only because I-4 itself is generally a disaster, not because it's all that far. Publix and Target are within a mile, and any restaurant you could want up and down 192 (or for a little less craziness/tourists, try a trip up or down US 27 - lots there too). This has been our favorite Orlando rental by far, we will for sure be back!
