Like all Lagkahuset shop, you have to pull number and wait for your number to be called. A bit too clinical for a bakery and cake shop, you might say - but it wasn't a rush hour and I got served immediately. I asked for a small cortado and the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted to decide how much the milk would be myself. Uhmm, okay - maybe she experienced that many people confused cortado with latte instead but I guess it's always good to decide yourself. So she poured the milk in front of me and waited until I said stop, which was right after because I wanted a cortado not a latte. That's a bit odd part, but hey - it's a good (emergency) place to have a coffee and a bite (if you're into sweet stuff) and a good people watching place since it's just next to the station. Next time I'm stranded here again, I'd probably go here again :)

The experience in Lyngby started out with realizing, that they use post mix for sodas and not cans. Post mix should be forbidden by law. It is awful, hence I decided to order my burger and fries instead of the menu, to which the woman behind the register replied: "...but you get the soda for free". Honestly this almost made it even worse, so I said: "No thank you". Unfortunately, I later realized, that this meant that I had paid 20 DKK extra (for not receiving the soda, that is). This cannot make sense! Oh well, luckily this did not affect my impression of the food. The burger was bland in taste, and medium cooked - or at least they say. Judge yourself from the photo, btw I do not have a problem with medium prepared meat, but this was barely warmer than body temperature. The fries were at the most average. And oh yeah the dipping, I chose bearnaise, had a hint of dragon, but that was it, and it was 15 DKK on top. A total of 129 for my food. For 109 DKK, I could have received a post mix as well. I will not come back. I will probably try the one in Copenhagen again at another time to see if it is merely the provincial location, that has ruined the otherwise very nice burger joint.

The texas burger has a fried egg, bacon & onion rings on it. How could it possibly go wrong? Well, the fried egg was so overcooked that it was almost rubbery and the onion rings were completely undercooked and doughy (not crispy). The burger patty was really poor quality (It was so smushed together that it made it really rubbery and gives it no texture). My boyfriend though his meal was ok. The meat was tender but the meat wasn't falling off the bone as ribs should in his opinion. There was unfortunately too much BBQ sauce on the ribs as well so it overpowered the ribs (BBQ sauce was too sweet as well). We both got potato wedges with our meal though (Ribs normally come with a baked potato) and they were pretty good. Pretty much the only thing I actually liked, and that's not enough to come back to a place. I know this place is new, so I hope they take the time to perfect their menu.

The menu has a selection of meat and burgers (hence the name) but there's also salads and children's menu. Had the ribeye with potatoes and it was well cooked and tasty. I'm guessing that reservations are recommended. The staff members were super friendly and helpful with menu choices. We ordered samosas and papadams to start. For mains we had the butter chicken and palak paneer with some garlic naan and rice. They didn't have salty lassi on the menu but they stilled brought me one which was quite delicious and the perfect match for the food since we opted for very spicy. Indian food ranks high for me and this place absolutely delivered on everything from presentation to flavors. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and despite the many tables and large crowd the noise levels were what you'd expect for a nice restaurant. If I lived here this place would be a regular spot. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
