Met some great local guys who ended up getting some dice from the bar and played some games, enjoyed the fooseball tables and the pool tables in the basement. As an American, I especially enjoyed all the album covers on the wall and how the basement pool table area felt just like an American dive bar would have in the 1980s (complete with accompanying American tunes!). The bartender chatted with us as she was packing up for the night and provided excellent service all evening. The crowd was mostly young people, all of whom seemed to be having a great time, with not even a phone in sight! It really did feel like traveling back in time to a different kind of "going out for drinks" than a lot of people are used to. Definitely worth stopping in for a pint and some games!

We knew it was a popular bar so we went Friday evening, when it had just opened. As there were not many people, we got space at the bar near a window overlooking the street. Stunning views outside as night fell. I personally love to sit at the bar because you have front row seats to see all the action while they prepare the drinks. The mixologists were friendly, they recommended drinks according to our tastes and preferences, I must say they were pretty accurate. We had such a good time that I forgot to take pictures of the cocktails. Definitely a place I recommend for a chill night if you are in the city.

She speaks English, Danish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and probably a lot more of a few other languages. Her way with people is something to witness since she is so gentle but runs the place like a boss. We've been there many times and one of my favorite experiences was having the opportunity to see the Underberg truck set up close. Love that stuff. All of the drinks are great and it's a place you can go to relax and be yourself no matter where you're from. Not only that but the regulars are also welcoming and when you start buying drinks for each other there are all sorts of awesome things you can learn about local experience, much less the country. You need to stop in at the Bassinet and say hello in whatever language you prefer to Pauline and have a couple rounds at this wonderful cave of pure chill. Hoping to go back tonight.
