I had a foot massage one day 60 min. And he knew exactly what other ailments I had from my feet. So I came back following day & he gave me full body 90 min. Fixed my hip!! Thanks Mr Lai. Go here, Forget the other tourist traps, this is the real deal. You won't be disappointed. Front desk speaks English, massage therapists mostly only Cantonese w/ a few words of English. Nice people !!

While those were good but over the years, those 'parlors' became less massage and more happy endings. Not what I was looking for. This place is the real deal and for $540 for 90 minutes, it is a steal when compared to the US prices. But that is just half of the story. Ah Ping was my therapist. She is a special lady with a real talent in figuring out where it hurts and where she needed to focus. She literally has magical hands. Deep tissue is on tap for the day and oh boy, she is incredible. The icing on the cake is she is genuinely nice and caring. She doesn't speak English and prefers not to cater to non Chinese speakers. But, if you can convince her to give you her magical treatments, you will be glad to fork over your fee plus a healthy tip.

This was a fantastic foot massage experience. Professional, welcoming, meditative, tranquil,…read morerelaxing, boutique spa feeling. It smelled absolutely lovely, there was a smiling welcoming face behind the registration desk when we stepped off the elevator into the calming, dimly lit lobby area ...all the touch points of a great spa experience. You pay for the experience of all these great customer service points (price was $360HKD, just feet, short a little tip....50 minutes), but if you are looking for just feet and not the "experience of tranquility," I am certain you could find it less expensive elsewhere. Wrapped up in the cost is an unspoken level of experience. Let it also be said that this is my first foot massage in Hong Kong and thus my bar of expectation has been raised. I have had countless reflexology treatments in the US, but it is just not the same to the real deal you can get in Hong Kong. My husband says that compared to this, I will be dissappointed with the esthetic, feeling and atmosphere of other massage spots in Hong Kong, but maybe not disspointed with the actual service. We did not have an appointment and had to wait for about ten minutes for both my husband and I to be taken on a Sunday afternoon. We were in a communal room with eight other chairs, although they do have private rooms for parties or just solo stuff I suppose. Rooms and chairs are tastefully decorated...wood, tile, cream colors, dim light, clean. They were completely full and room was busy, but still respectfully quite, tranquil and relaxing. After a short neck and upper back massage that is simply part of the routine to their foot massage experience, I found my esthetician to be brutal and beautiful. I suppose I prefer a foot massage that really digs in there and works things out versus fluffy rubbing. I am certain she would have taylored it back in the pressure had I asked, but it was great. She had good kneeding thumbs and fingers to really work on my feet and calves. She was good at her craft...it was clearly not her first rodeo! They have healthy drinks you can purchase and also have pedicure options. Another thing I noticed...everyone is in the company uniform, so you notice the corporate culture touch through the uniformity of look. I really enjoyed my experience at Ten Feet Tall and look forward to returning. You feel so good upon leaving, the question on tipping becomes a question in my American head (we tip the US...we just do...it is a custom...)...it was such a good experience, I just want to give them a tip. This was the only question and topic of debate in my head upon departure.

Sure, it's pricier than Happy Foot, or other foot massage places in the area, but I'm coming here for more than a rub down. I want to feel relaxed and spend the next 50, 75, or 100 minutes in a tranquil environment. The common area rooms here are just as good as the private rooms, so don't waste your money on that. There's free wifi and a nice juice menu. They also offer "happy hour" specials (discounts on foot massages during downtime hours) during the week, so take advantage!

I recently visited their Wellington Street branch and had all my fond memories dashed by a clueless barber who had no input to offer on styling etc, complacent staff, and overall a shabby ambience that's a very far cry from its old salon. There are so many better barber shops within a few minutes walk, why would you bother if they can't be?

I came here for my…read morevirgin facial (minds out of the gutters, guys) and tried the Steam Facial, which set me back HKD 950 for 60mins of steaming, cleaning and blackhead picking. The therapist was very attentive and careful and made sure I was at ease at all times, even though my eyes watered like a river when she attacked my blackheads. For you guys who are also spa virgins, the full routine went like this: 1. Shirts off (there's a towel over you) and lie down, lights dim and the therapist cleans your face and neck twice while you doze off because it actually is a comfortable face massage. 2. Exfoliation. She continues to massage your face, this time with exfoliation cream, and it's done very gently so you stay asleep. 3. She covers your eye area with some eye masks and probably to prevent you from seeing what comes next. 4. You hear the steam machine and start feeling the heat on your face. Feels a bit like the sun is moving your way; you wonder if it will overheat and melt your eyes. 5. It doesn't. But the lights go on so it really does feel like the sun coming your way now. But nothing compared to what comes next. 6. She tells you "extraction now, this might hurt". And yep, she don't lie. Imagine someone pricking different areas of your face with a needle, sometimes light sometimes hard depending on the severity of the blackhead in that spot. Your eyes are still covered luckily, so she doesn't see that your eyes are watering now. Good news is it gets better apparently when your skin is better come second time. 7. Quick face mask session, where you can take relief and relax. You are done. 8. Some spots stay red for a day and then your skin gets smoother and looks clearer too. A thousand bucks and hour is pretty expensive for an hour, but the effect was noticeable and in my opinion I will be coming back for the mini version - express/rejuvenation facials which are half the time and price. Extras: - They have a range of their own brand grooming products. The shaving stuff remains expensive, but the face products like moisturizers and cleansers are actually not. - They are quite reputable for their Hemmingway treatment - a facial/massage combo that comes with a Bloody Mary, designed to spa you back to sobriety. All for a cool HKD 1,700 in 2 hours. Hey, if you can pay to get that drunk, you can ball out to restoration too.
