I ended up having them replace 3 valves that were 30 years old and negotiated a decent deal and they were done in less than 2 hours. I have not used the repaired system extensively since the repair 2 weeks ago, but it seems to be working well. I liked the owner's personal engagement with me--he spoke great English so there was no issues as I've had in the past with other Sprinkler repair company personnel. I chose this company first out of three other companies that I found on Yelp. Called to let me know he was on his way but a little lost. No biggie! I thought, YAY! if he shows up we should be happy with what we wanted him to do. What we wanted: A New Sprinkler System to Replace an old malfunctioning, poorly laid out system. So kinda big bucks job. He gave us a couple of verbal numbers, just repair and a new re-design, promised to follow-up with a formal quote for what all would be included with each price. My husband really liked Murray. He was stoked and ready to set a date for the project. Not getting any other quotes. Just needed the quote! BTW, my husband is an engineer and usually takes months to make a decision to spend this much money. TWO-WEEKS later, TWO Emails, ONE Voicemail and ONE more Online Appointment schedule just trying to get a detailed formal quote; he didn't even bother to call, email, or cancel and no quotes, no feedback, not even a bug off. If you have a small repair job that he can show up and repair / fix a couple sprinkler heads, or something really small that can be handled on the first visit, he might show up and do a good job. BUT if you have a major project, he is probably not the best option. FYI, our project would have exceeded $3000 and he didn't have time to provide a quote. Guess he just doesn't need my business.

My husband booked a Saturday 1pm appointment the Wednesday before. Murray calls us on Saturday at 9:30 am asking if they can come any earlier since they had another job in Katy and wanted to know if they could group it with ours. We said we'd be out in the morning but that we'd try to get home sooner than 1 if that helped. No answer from them and no indication that they couldn't still honor the 1pm time slot. Of course, they didn't show up at 1, so I called Murray and asked about their ETA and mentioned that our sprinklers had been broken for a week and that we really needed to get them fixed. He told me they were out in Missouri City for another job and that they'd make it by 5-ish. Great! Some advance notice would have been nice so we wouldn't have had to rush home thinking they'd need to come sooner than 1! But what do you know -- they didn't show up at 5 either and once again didn't tell us, even when I texted him at 5:45 to check whether they'd still be making it out. I have so many problems with this. First of all, don't ask people to book appointments online if you can't honor the time and would prefer to group jobs by location. And DO NOT call the customer the day of expecting them to change their schedules to fit your needs. Also, I understand it's more convenient for you to group jobs by location, but I'm assuming this ain't your first rodeo. Any business of this nature likely understands that Houston is spread out and that you will have to drive back and forth a fair amount for jobs, so account for that with your scheduling and don't act like it's such an inconvenience for you to have to drive from Missouri City to Katy! If it's such a problem, don't be in this business, or just serve a smaller area! We ended up making other arrangements no thanks to SprinklerFixer and I'll be sure to caution others against them in the future.
