I hired Rainy Irrigation and would not recommend their services to anyone! My Biggest Concern was ignored. I asked them to take care not to cut my INTERNET fiber and was promised that they would lift the fiber out of the ground. "Don't worry!" Prospero promised we will take care of it. Not 5 minutes later they cut the fiber and no attempt that I could see was made to move the cable. started digging and cut the fiber in multiple places. I work from home. Thankfully I have a hotspot and was able to at least get some work done. DON'T HIRE this company! read more

Called and considered using for what was a straightforward small repair job of repairing a leaking sprinkler head and advising on cost of replacing a 20 ft section of drip pipe with plastic and possibly 2 sprinkler heads. Decided not to use when advised of the $125 callout charge even though it would be applied to the work if carried out. Would suggest they rethink their mandatory call out charge policy. read more

We just purchased a new home and found a massive puddle forming from a leak in our irrigation box. We panicked, but Rain Day Irrigation was able to send someone very quickly out to take a look. We would have been told almost anything and would have believed it. In the end the technician said it was literally nothing more than a loose screw and charged a small service fee. I had used Rain Day Irrigation to install an irrigation system around 1 year ago. Prospero and his team were great. Very professional, friendly and easy to reach. He helped with getting all the permitting and HOA approvals, and had his team on site within 2 days of the final approvals. The irrigation system was installed within 1 day, with minimal impact on the yard (they replaced all sod carefully into the original location). When my backflow busted due to a recent freeze, he quickly sent out his tech Brady (next day) to replace the backflow. Brady was on time, efficient and super helpful - including showing me how to prevent the damage from happening next time. They are great! read more

I had used Rain Day based on a great recommendation from my neighbor. He and his team did an amazing job! I had a pool installed, and my yard was decimated in the process. My wife and I were so happy we used them. Prospero is very professional and easily reachable for any questions. His crew is hard working, polite, and they worked every day until the job was done. I used them do yard repair, regrading, install drainage pipe, place pavers and make a gravel walkway. They did a really great job. I would use them again without hesitation. Here is an update on my previous review of Rain Day and it's Owner, Prospero Baltazar. It has been almost two years since this company installed our drainage and irrigation system, and the City where we live has still not approved their work. This week we had a reputable contractor work on the drainage system again, marking our fifth major repair of Rain Day's ridiculous work. They actually found a drain catch basin piped to receive water from our roof downspouts, with no pipe to distribute the water beyond that catch basin...so now we know why that drain cover blows off every time there is a heavy rain. They also told us that they had never seen pipe that cheap and flimsy used on a sprinkler job....right after they discovered that sprinkler pipes had been installed right on top of mainline water pipes (see pictures of repair work). We have spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to fix the mess that Rain Day made, and we continue to be plagued by poor lot drainage and a shoddy sprinkler system with zones actually installed to water gravel...and Prospero and Rain Day continue to hide behind a shady homebuilder rather than doing the right thing and trying to correct their mistakes. My opinion and experience is that this company should not be allowed to have a license or work anywhere in the State of Texas. Buyer beware!! read more

Due to the continuous days of rain towards late October, my side yard basically turned into a swamp. After calling a few contractors out to quote a drainage system, we decided to go with Prospero's team. Their quote wasn't exactly the cheapest, but the materials they use and work quality actually made the price more than reasonable. Also Prospero is a highly efficient communicator in terms of addressing any of my inquiries and keeping me updated on the project's progress. I enjoyed working with this team so much that I hired them again to regrade the yard (which had become muddy and impeded drainage) as soon as the drainage system was put in. read more

I had contacted 4 Irrigation companies. Only one responded very polite, but it would be two weeks until they could visit our property. I called Rain Day irrigation and the owner Prospero called back in an hour! He drove out that evening and gave me a quote,explained all the steps and equipment he would utilize. Within 6 business days I had a fully operational irrigation system, The crew was very professional worked with little disruption to the property and it was difficult to tell where the lawn was dug up because they reinstalled the sod near perfect. Finally, throughout the process Prospero's communication and customer service was fantastic and always timely and respectful. After the installation he reinspected the entire system with me. PB was very professional and walked me through everything. He is very thorough in explaining how my sprinkler system will work. I got the WiFi controller box and it allows me to alter the days and times my sprinklers come on. Even installing the sprinkler system you can't tell the grass or dirt was even moved. This is an awesome company! Yesterday came home to a massive leak in my sprinkler system, attempted to use the shutoff valve but it was rusted so only able to partially close off the system. it was already 5pm was worried that I wouldn't be able to get someone to fix the problem this late in the day. Called Rain Day and said they could have someone out to the house. Their courteous technician came out within 30 mins and was able to shut off the system. They fixed the main leak as well found and fixed other issues. They were reasonably priced and did a magnificent job. We had a full 15 zone system installed. The crew that installed the system did an OK job, could have been better with straight runs of pipe and sprinkler layout across the yard. I had two issues with the way the proposal and job started and ended. The proposal noted that payment was due in full upon completion of the work. The first day during our walk through I was told they needed 50% upfront. One reason I went with him was payment upon completion. I ended up paying 20% up front because "oh well we have to pay our vendors". When the job was done I was told if I provided a Lot/house plan we would get a system layout marking zones and heads. We provided it end of march and have not seen it yet.... I gave up and did it myself. read more
