I got blue french tips and Daughter wanted only clear coat with paw prints. Its been a week. My fingernails are still intact. But yesterday, I felt like my big toes were detaching from my toes. This feeling was confirmed after my right big toe slightly tapped the laundry basket and flew off. Looks my it took the top half my actual nail too because you can see the skin.I have bandaged that toe and also the left big toe as well (as a precaution.) Be cautious if you get a pedicure here.

Okay so I've been looking into microblading for a few months because I have little soul patches for eyebrows (hi moms, please take your daughters to trained professionals to shape their eyebrows and make sure they never have tweezers unattended in case they overpluck their eyebrows and their hair never grows back like me) and as soon as I saw Alina's Yelp I was like "this is her". I was sorely mistaken. She is THE ONE. She's seriously so amazing and I really will be a customer life. Couple things: 1) don't think because she charges less than someone else that she isn't as good as someone else charging $600+. She USED to charge $600 and decided that a) its better for her clients and better for her business if she stays affordableI don't (win-win for both of us) b) she can people who may not think they have the opportunity to be able to afford such a luxury and c) her supplies (which are very expensive) only last a year anyways so why not get the most use out of them possible? 2) she drew out this shape on me that had no harsh points or high arches and I was like... "uhh, I dunno" and she was like "I promise, it's not the right thing for your face and it's an old beauty trend that is outdated. Trust me" (and I'm thinking like have you seen this RBF? I need sharp ass brows to let a hater know I stay the coldest) so I just went with it and I was feeling like I was going to walk out of there unhappy and I will be honest and say that it took a full 48 hours for these brows to really win me over but I'm at like 72-96 hours in now and I am OBSESSED. 3) listen to Alina always. She honest to God is the expert. You might have a personal preference but remember how you feel looking at your moms 80s yearbook photos and remember how you feel looking at the lil old lady's that wear heavy blush to church. Makeup adapts and evolves; that's the fun thing about it is that it's always changing as the world is progressing. Alina has seen trends come and go but overall she knows what looks best for the shape of your face and that is timeless and ageless and won't stick out like a sore thumb in old photos so listen to her like she's your grandmother. She also did my lash extensions which (you guessed it!) I'm super in love with. Do yourself a favor. If you're reading this and you've been contemplating if this is your girl or if you wanna get this done, the answer is yes and yes so book her now. Also, for what it's worth, I've heard of a lot of people saying they know people who got this done and the healing process was kinda gross and I'm attaching a photo from day 3. The picture collage is from Friday before and after. And the other picture is Monday, just over 72 hours into having it done and it looks great. As a disclaimer, and this may not be okay for everyone but I had zero bleeding during the session and close to zero scabbing over the weekend, I did wear makeup today so I took a baby wipe and gently buffed off the top layer of gunk since it appeared to be more of what looked like makeup I may have missed from when I got ready and cleaned them off with a watered down (okay, it was saliva) q-tip and it just sort of seemed to exfoliate this layer off the top that ended up revealing even better brows than I had already loved before. The pigment won't settle fully until about a month in but I could care less. Everyday I just fall more in love with these eyebrows. They are soooooo natural and real looking!!!! I absolutely love their Carmel Mountain location, but I hate their Point Loma location. I've never had issues at Carmel Mountain, but I constantly have issues in Point Loma. I've repeatedly had issues with their website, allowing you to book on days that they are not open and their website hours on Google saying they're open even when they're not. I've contacted them multiple times about this, but the issue has never been resolved. I'll be honest this was one of the only places I have ever trusted to do my eyebrows and I had a great experience a handful of times I've been to Carmel Mountain. But they really need to get new management for the point Loma location. I know it is new, but that is not an excuse for how it is currently running. I've also heard other reviews from friends of mine saying that they will show up on time for their appointment and the staff is not there and has been up to 30 minutes late for their appointment. I hope to continue to be a customer because I do love the Carmel Valley location, but I really hope they can step it up in point Loma. Overall, I have a bad taste in my mouth from the poor experiences in PL.
