The place is very clean and the room was the perfect size, big enough that the room did not feel cramped but small enough that you are able to keep an eye on every child. Children from ages 1 to about 8 were at the party and there were activities suitable for all ages. I really enjoyed that they let the kids interchange between free play and singing and dancing together with bells, parachutes, bean bags, and bubbles. The kids were not forced to do one thing for too long. I also liked that you are able to bring outside food which allowed for us to stay within our budget and also allowed us to feed all the kids as well as their parents.

While I, too have voiced certain concerns with the center about my children, I want to also acknowledge how pleased I am with my sons growth and stability in his current class (Blue Horses). Miss Maria and Miss Amanda (admin) have both been extremely supportive and kind about hearing our concerns that we have had in the past, and for that I thank them. But I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the amazing job that Miss Haley has done with our son. She has been patient, kind, and extremely supportive of him. I know how challenging most 3 year olds can be, and he is NO exception. But Miss Haley has treated him so fairly and I have seen nothing but growth in him since she has been with Lightbridge. He has learned invaluable life skills about socialization that I would have never been able to teach him at home, and his academic progress has sky-rocketed. You have a very special/professional teacher in Miss Haley and I just want to give her the recognition she deserves. I don't know what kind of coffee they're serving at Country Roads, but damn I want some!! The…read moreenergy these people have from the second the day starts until pickup is absolutely unreal. Every morning there's fun music and an enthusiastic guy on the microphone getting everyone pumped up for the day (shout out to that guy - he's awesome!), other staff dancing around, some singing, and all of their enthusiasm is completely genuine. It's really impossible not to smile every morning. The positivity is contagious and it sets the tone for the entire camp. I have to mention the organizational structure too, because I am constantly amazed at their preparation for every day, with every group. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. Every detail has clearly been thought out, and somehow they keep hundreds (thousands??) of kids moving from one age appropriate activity to the next without total chaos. It's very impressive. My daughters are exhausted (in a great way) after their camp day and talking nonstop about everything they got to do. Every single day there's something new they're excited to tell me about. The number of activities is unbelievable. I'm a little jealous sometimes because my childhood summers certainly didn't look anything like this. Lol. I loooove seeing the pics they send of the kids doing cool stuff. My favorite is seeing my little one doing archery. LOVE IT!!! You can tell that everyone who works here has one goal, and that is to make sure these kids have the best summer possible. And they definitely succeed. Btw, a special shout out to Miss Bella who is the sweetest Camp Counselor who ever lived. My younger daughter loves her so much. This is only our second summer at Country Roads, and we're actually moving to another nearby town soon, but we're probably going to keep coming every summer because it's really that good. It is also an excellent place to prepare your child for Kindergarten so they won't go in overwhelmed and scared. At home we can provide structure and learning tools but it just isn't the same as a true school environment. My son gets excited to see his teachers & his friends. He looks forward to gardening, dance parties and art projects. His overall growth has also jumped leaps and bounds from when he first started last year. So much so we extended his hours from half to full day! We also LOVE that the classes are small & the teachers build a close relationship w/ every child. Touring other schools was quite scary seeing kids screaming and overwhelmed staff. I can assure you Peppermint Tree is not and never will be that way! You also have a built in Summer Camp w/ 2 pools to accommodate all age groups. Did I mention swimming lessons, class trips, gardening, ice cream days, etc? All those things are either part of class or an option to add on. So if you are on the fence about where or if you are going to enroll your child, Peppermint Tree is definitely the Best Choice!

My child was enrolled in Peppermint Tree's summer camp. He was there for 5 hours and he was out…read more(playground & pool) from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Then they'd go inside from noon until 3 pm. This was their time to eat and sleep! Their naptime was 2 hours. So, if you want your 4.5 year old toddler to go to summer camp and nap for 2 hours this is your place. There were no other activities as promised on the schedule we were emailed to before camp began. The schedule showed that they were going to do arts, science and so many fun things. When I asked if he was doing any of these things I was told by his teachers that most of these were happening during his pool time. Really? Isn't the establishment's responsibility to ensure that all groups get to do these "fun things?" Why should a 4.5 yr old eat and sleep from 12 pm - 3 pm. There is plenty of time for his "teachers" to read books, engage them in fun/educational activities while they're inside. So really, all that money we paid for was only for 2 hours (run around in the playground and use the pool). Our child didn't learn anything, there were no educational activities as the written schedule showed, and we basically paid for 5 hours, 3 out of which were eat and sleep! I don't recommend this place whether it is for summer camp or as a daycare. Unless you want to use it as a babysitting place, sure, then it's fine. Just don't expect your child to learn here...
