I am a senior citizen new homeowner. I was told that Holiday Pools was the company that serviced…read morethe pool (which they installed for the previous owner). I booked them to come to open my pool right after I closed last fall. I was in contact with them as they had replaced the liner right before closing the pool. I was quoted a price of $265 to open the pool and I was ASSURED I would be showed how to use the equipment and the pool "would be beautiful". They came yesterday and "opening" the pool consisted of taking the cover off throwing in shock and algeacite turning on the motor and leaving. NO CLEANING of the pool or the equipment was done. When I told him I was a first time pool owner and asked questions, the service man told me he was alloted 20 minutes for the service call and had no time to show me anything or answer my questions. He told me they do not "clean" pools or the equipment, that was my responsibility? He then handed me a bill for $300. I called the office quite upset as I have no pool company other than them and I have no idea how to clean a pool much less the equipment. I was told they have only one person that "cleans" pools and he is booked solid for the season. I explained I booked my appointent LAST SEPTEMBER and at that time they knew I was the new owner of the property and needed full service. I also advised her the price I was quoted by Michelle was $265 not $300. She was very nasty and told me they don't clean pools and they had "opened" the pool. I again reiterated I was a new owner and had no idea how to maintain a pool. She became very irritated with me and told me to tear up their bill and "go your way and we will go our way". She then hung up on me. I called multiple pool companies trying to schedule service and AS EXPECTED they are all booked for the summer. The search for a pool company continues... Thanks Holiday Pools for the mess you left me. If I knew what you consider a pool "opening" I would have found another company last September and not depended on Holiday Pools. If I could rate you a zero I would!

I live in Boston and was visiting my folks in Waretown, NJ. I was surprised when Madama came up and after looking at his lineage I decided to give him a ring and see if he accepts drop ins. I've dropped in at several gyms across the east coast and always have a good experience/ learn a lot. Something about Madama though was different, and mostly, it's that I felt at home. When I arrived, Josh ushered me into the gym himself, showed me around and paired me with an experienced training partner who I felt safe with from the git-go. The general format/attitude was relaxed and informal, which I really love, and after learning some new material in class I got a chance to roll a bit with several of the guys there. All tough opponents, but everyone was restrained and I felt they welcomed me in immediately. No big egos here. Afterwards I got to roll with Josh Madama himself, and shoot the breeze a bit. Great BJJ technician, and really just a nice guy. Like I said, I just felt like I was at my local gym and I've never had that level of comfort anywhere else.

The best kind of camp-Surf Camp! This is the fifth year a group of seven cousins have spent a week…read morewith Summertime! The cousins look forward to it all year! The water safety training is real, the atmosphere relaxed and the lessons last a lifetime. The crew is excellent- the coolest folks on the beach- the crew treat the kids like younger siblings. They guide them, rib them and laugh with them the whole time. Our group stays half day. Each half day is organized to include yoga, free swim, races and of course riding waves! It is safe to leave the kids and enjoy free time. It's also ok to take advantage of the great photo opportunities too! For four years our group was at the Belmar location. With Covid, the Town of Belmar was not allowing any vendor groups. Both locations were ideal, there is a large tent for 'tent talk' , relief from the sun, and to store gear. There are plenty of staff and adjacent lifeguards in both locations and Summertime is constantly aware of weather and maritime conditions. Rash guards (yellow or red for Kiki camp) and wetsuits and boards are all available to use on site! Dont hesitate, sign your kids up!

They sent a follow up email a few days with the location and helpful tips. When we arrived we knew just where to go and park. The office/ store had lots of pirate accessories for the kids cheap enough that you didn't mind buying it. The bathrooms were very clean. While the kids wait they teach them the lingo, have pirate tattoos and get them excited for the ride. The ride is about an hour and the crew have the kids engaged the whole time. We picked the 5pm ride and it was a beautiful night out on the water. The staff were all very nice and the kids stayed dry!
