I've decided to become a yogi, so thought joining a yoga school in the hood would be apt.
As part of 2015, have decided to stop pretending to be a gym bunny because Lycra is not my thing and I need to meditate more (according to my palm reader - yes you read right - no autocorrect).
In the past, I've been put off by hippy dippy yoga instructors but they're different here. They teach classes using yoga philosophy but with a practical bent which I dig.
They also offer a variety of classes - from vinyasa, Hatha and ying, to sound healing, chanting and customised workshops. Either way, you leave the class feeling energised and simultaneously relaxed which helps with sleep.
To get the full benefits, they recommend 3-5 classes a week which I am averaging so far so go me. Give me yoga over pump any day #justsaying read more
