Rude service gets you no customers and I frankly will be searching for a new dr. office strictly due to the horrid, disgraceful customer service I continue to receive from this office. The Dr is awesome, if they offered an online option where I didn't have to talk to or deal with anyone from the front of the office it would be an awesome thing, cause obviously these people hate their jobs. At Summa's Family Practice, their policy is that you need to see the doctor twice a year, and they will not give you a prescription for more than 6 months. As a result, you have to pay for the second visit to the doctor just to get your prescriptions for a full year. The second visit is not covered by Medicare. So Summa is making money by forcing you to see the doctor twice a year. They say that they do it because they care about their patients. I say that they do it to fill their coffers with cash from retired senior citizens.

Then she saw she had another persons drivers license and this same receptionist was also rude to my family member when they were there. But I did go back, what a waist of money and time. The practitioner didn't even try to help and I needed antibiotics. I ended up in the hospital with a lot of pain and suffering. They gave me the antibiotics, ect. that I needed. Now I will confirm I will never go back there.

CONS: I went in for STI testing, specifically for HSV and they do zero blood work. They only test with urine, which is not the standard for HSV. I've been getting tested for over ten years and no one has ever offered that--because it's not as accurate as blood. The standard is a swab and blood test. Why wouldn't they know this? Why am I paying them money and then providing education? I have no idea why they don't offer blood testing. But just thought I'd post incase anyone is looking to get STI testing here. Go to planned parenthood if you're self pay. It's more expensive but at least you'll get accurate test results.

Apparently she decided to focus on the other specific issue i had and not provide the annual physical. I found out that I didn't have my annual (which I thought she was doing given i was in my gown) when i got my bill. I called and asked what was going on and why my annual was not also coded. That was when I found out she didn't even perform the annual. I expressed major concern at the lack of communication and that i may have to consider changing services when my tests were all over. Totally cool if there was a valid reason to shift focus...but try telling me instead of letting me think I got my annual. Then...within a week I got a letter saying she could no longer provide medical care. Wow. So not only a lack of communication...but a lack of concern for her patients knowing the additional issue I went in for.

Everyone at the front desk ignored us while trying to check in…read more After sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes (I was 7 minutes early for the appointment, btw) then shown to a room that literally, I could see my breath - it was like 55 degrees in there. I sat in the room for over 35 minutes. So tired of waiting - I finally tracked down some random assistant in the hallway and asked when and if the doctor was going to see us. She looked like Bambi in the headlights. So, I grabbed my purse and walked out. Complete waste of time. I heard they triple-book their appointments, so if you have a lot of time to waste, this is the place
