They 100% respected my desire for a natural labor and birth. They never pressured us into genetic testing. They asked us about it once and put it in our chart that we didn't want it. The wait is never long, at least for my dr. They are very pro sending you into the hospital for things if you call in concerned, that was the only down side I saw but it's just them being overly cautious. They will see you in office for medical reasons that aren't emergency i.e. Baby moving less, but bleeding, falls, etc they make you go to the ER. Edit: I saw the person I wasn't fond of last time. I am blaming it on pregnancy hormones and that I was hungry. Because she is wonderful and I would see her again. There isn't anyone there I don't trust/like. I wouldn't change OB's

However, at the following appointment the new provider was unfamiliar with my concerns, and the cycle repeated. I specifically requested that standard labs be drawn, including urine protein and other routine monitoring I am accustomed to seeing in the hospital setting. These tests were never ordered, so I obtained them independently through Quest Diagnostics. I was also told my iron levels were normal, yet no iron studies had been performed. My hemoglobin was later found to be 8.0, confirming that my iron status was, in fact, not normal. When I alerted the team that my results were trending toward pre-eclampsia, my concerns were not addressed. Instead, I was asked if I "just wanted to be done" and was offered an elective c-section at 37 weeks. My goal was not convenience -- I wanted both myself and my baby to be safe, particularly given my age of 40. Ultimately, I delivered via emergency c-section, was discharged, and within a day required readmission for postpartum pre-eclampsia -- a complication I had repeatedly raised concern about and that was not appropriately addressed.
