I also understand the reality of managing multiple therapies, medical appointments, school meetings, and life. Over time, repeated conversations about missed appointments, attendance reminders, and signing attendance acknowledgments left me feeling judged instead of supported. The final straw was accidentally leaving one week off a summer scheduling form, which led to another conversation about attendance. It wasn't about that one incident--it was the realization that this philosophy simply doesn't align with how I believe families of children with additional needs should be treated. The clinicians were wonderful, and the front desk staff were always professional and kind. My disappointment lies with leadership and the culture created by these policies. Families seeking pediatric therapy need partnership, empathy, and flexibility. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience, and we chose to take our children elsewhere.

We finally got a good match and they "switched departments". Then they started saying I had to move my time due to scheduling conflicts even though we had waited 2 years to get the time slot we had. We got moved with a new SLP and I complained that they kept canceling and rescheduling. I can only assume they were double booking so instead of taking accountability for their poor planning, they decided to discontinue services simply because i advocated for my daughter. They dont seem to care about the children, they just want their paycheck

She enjoys going (especially when she would run into friends who were attending the same time slot as her) and earning cards to purchase snacks and prizes. She has been going for about two years and we are happy with how she is doing in math so we signed up her younger sister (who has been going for about a year). Both our girls seem very confident in their math and we've referred many friends (who ended up signing up) to the Center. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, especially the Owner/Center Director, Revati. She is approachable, understanding and warm. You can tell that she wants to make math fun and approachable for the children. She also keeps parents informed on their child's progress by talking to you at pick up/drop off or letting you know that she's available to meet anytime if you need to speak with her regarding your child's progress. She also makes sure kids cross safely while walking in the crosswalk, to cross the street. I will continue to recommend Mathnasium to those looking for math assistance/practice for their child(ren).

What's worked for us is the structure: they binder system gives focused practice and a regimented program. We get progress updates so I know what she's working on and what she's proficient at. The staff is friendly and genuinely looking to help, and the student instructors are engaging. Scheduling has been easy to work around sports and school, and their rewards system gives her a little extra motivation, she hasn't complained about going yet.. Overall, we've seen consistent progress and growing confidence. We've been happy with the results and the experience here.

Yes, he did attend morning Zoom school for kindergarten at one of the public schools--and yes, Alice's did have compassion for the families by offering a special kindergarten afternoon daycare to help support during the pandemic. This was such a priceless gift to the families. My son has attended Alice's since he was two years old and in diapers. As a parent, I likely had all of the same interests and concerns as you currently have when looking for a preschool...and then some. I'm cautious and well-researched. Thanks to the glowing reviews for all three of the locations, I'm grateful to have found Alice's. All of the positive reviews are true. During non-pandemic operation, the school brings in guests like firemen and nurses, children learn tremendous social skills to take care of others and their environment, and the Montessori-style of teaching allows children to thrive. Thanks to their focus on phonics, my son is currently reading beyond first grade level. The teachers are natural educators and caretakers. To be honest, I would trust them to take care of my son over most of my family. Haha. I guess another way to put it is that they feel like the best of our chosen family. There were definitely tears from me, my husband, and the little guy at the thought of not seeing Alice's teachers on a daily basis. We hope to stay in touch with them for some time.

What really stands out is how they manage the classroom while still making sure each child feels seen and cared for. They bring such a positive energy to the classroom, keep the kids engaged and happy, and are attentive to each child's individual needs. You can tell that they genuinely enjoy working with the children and care about their emotional well-being. We especially appreciate how they handle those little moments that can be challenging for young children--with patience, kindness, and encouragement rather than rushing them. KTS has a truly play-based, hands-on, and child-led approach - the kids learn through exploration and fun (which is exactly what they need at this age). I am reminded at every drop off and pickup how much the kiddos enjoy being there. The teachers are amazing - caring, patient, and always responsive whenever I have questions. They really know each child as an individual, and it shows. The hours are another huge plus (7am-6pm!) and the school rarely closes -- just for federal holidays (I believe) and one week in the summer - such a lifesaver for working parents. My girls have both thrived here, and I can't recommend Kid Time South enough!

Kid Time is the program we are most impressed with because they truly understand early childhood development. Staff are consistently loving, thoughtful, and patient. Every child is met where they are at, and they are nurtured and taught from an individualized starting point. Kid Time teachers are not rushing anyone toward milestones, but rather instilling in them a love of learning and of playing cooperatively with others. Kid Time teachers and staff also have a much better understanding of neurodivergent behaviors and appropriate strategies to address them than many public-school teachers in my experience. They know when a kiddo needs additional intervention and when they (often) can effectively address behaviors in the classroom. I particularly recommend their programs in lieu of Transitional Kindergarten (TK). Both of our kids attended TK; one did okay and the other struggled mightily and we pulled that child out of TK to enroll in Kid Time South. It was the best decision we've ever made for our child. The general push towards academics earlier in childhood isn't helping children. Four-year-olds aren't physically ready for writing. And in our experience, the TK classroom was a huge adjustment for our kids from preschool. Far more independence is expected and required with significantly less playtime and fewer play-based activities. It's basically just like kindergarten, but with a little less pressure. Some kiddos like our first child can handle more paper-based work because they already love to draw and paint. Kids like our second who prefer to move their bodies and learn by doing with their hands (not coloring or writing) are going to find themselves feeling like a fish out of water in a traditional TK classroom. In summary, let the kiddos be little! Go visit and talk to Ms. Leah, the owner and Executive Director. You won't be disappointed!
