My daughter attended Kidz Planet in Concord for about a year and a half, and my wife and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. She would come home every day singing new songs and excitedly sharing the games she had learned at school. We have loved our son's experience at KidzPlanet. The staff is caring and loving, and communication is fantastic. Our son had a seizure when he was 18 months at KP, and the staff handled it perfectly- getting him to the floor, turning him on his side and timing the seizure so we had the info we needed when we got to the hospital. Our son is a little shy and takes time to get comfortable, and the staff took lots of time with him, holding him and giving him the attention he needed to get comfortable. They have lots of family activities and do a great job with the curriculum. The food is healthy and my son actually eats well! My 2 kiddos (ages 3.5 and 2) have been at Kidz Planet since fall of 2023 and we have had nothing short of a wonderful and positive experience. The staff, teachers, and admin are all so lovely and provide a loving and nurturing environment for our kids. We are very happy with our kids here and couldn't ask for a better nursery and preschool experience for them. They do an excellent job hosting lots of events for the families year round as well as tons of activities at school to celebrate everything. I wish I could be a kid again and go to Kidz Planet! The kitchen staff cooks delicious meals and snacks every day for breakfast and lunch and 2 snacks a day. They are open from 7am-6pm every day and although our kids are usually there from 8:30-5pm every day, there has been the odd situation where they have been dropped off earlier or stayed later and it's never been an issue. The teachers and staff do a great job of sending tons of updates every day about what my kiddos are doing at school via Brightwheel and Facebook. After 8 years in Kidz Planet (Pleasant Hill), watching our two girls grow up there, we were pretty sad to say goodbye. Every teacher loved our children like they were their own, and they truly became part of the family. Ours girls were so incredibly prepared for school and we feel that KP has played a massive role in the confidence and foundation the girls have from both an educational and emotional perspective. The Halloween carnival, the Thanksgiving performances, the plays where they were introduced to performing arts...those were the icing on the cake of an incredible program and place. I cannot say enough good things about our time at Kidz Planet. My son attended for 3 years, from 6 months to 3 1/2 years old, and at every stage of his growth, Kidz Planet gave excellent levels of care to my son; it was worth every penny. The staff here is very dedicated and exceptionally creative. They always had so many unique and fun activities that engaged the children at all levels of development. They go above and beyond to create immersive lessons for the kids that encourage learning and imagination. I would often wish I had attended a school like this as a child! My son always returned home happy and excited to talk about the fun he had each day. The whole staff is extremely communicative via Brightwheel, providing lots of updates throughout the day: pictures, meals, naps, etc. They are responsive to any messages sent by parents as well. They provide all meals and snacks and I felt they did an excellent job serving balanced food options and even getting my son to eat things he wouldn't normally try at home. Throughout our time at KP, they gave us regular updates on his development and they were also very supportive during the potty training phase and partnered very closely with us as we worked through it with my son. They provided me with a yearly scrapbook of art and photos of my son and it always brought tears to my eyes. It was such a thoughtful and important gift that I will always treasure, especially as a working parent. All of the staff knew my son, from teachers to support staff, and I always felt he was safe and well cared for every day. We will truly miss Kidz Planet and I will always be grateful for their loving care during my son's earliest school years. Our family love, love, Kidz Planet, and all the amazing staff. Both my sons have been there since they were babies, and my oldest graduated this summer! It is so hard to find a childcare where we feel safe enough. Both of our boys are thriving and they love going here. They learn so much, and we love all the fun, family events. We can be difficult at times and they are open to our concerns and requests. My oldest, who is a Kinder at the public school, is ahead of the game. It's pretty much a review he had already learned. Our boys attended Kidz Planet (KP) from when they were 4 months old until they were 5 (a total of 7.5 years for our family). Yesterday was our last day at this daycare as our little guy is starting kindergarten. KP has been monumental for us, having no family around, we had no backup plan or safety net for child care, just the two of us and the daycare. We've been so lucky to have a place our kids were delighted to go. The teachers showed genuine love for our children, some shedding tears when they'd move on to the next class. Breakfast and lunch were cooked daily on-premise. Our dietary restrictions were taken into account and the kitchen staff even made special meals for our kids to accommodate us (without us asking them to - it was their kind and generous idea!) Our need for a daycare to provide safety and comfort were definitely met but on top of that our kids learned a great deal and had so much fun as a bonus! Over their time at KP, our boys learned to eat with utensils, drink from a cup, all the way to cutting with scissors, writing and math - all at or before the expected ages for these milestones, thanks to the teachers. The kids formed the most wonderful friendships with children they were with from infancy through pre-k, celebrating their first five birthdays together. There were countless activities and experiences we could not have even imagined for them: pony rides, magicians, reptile shows, music workshops, snow machines, performances, and the list goes on and on! There were even events for the families: Halloween festivals, thanksgiving feasts, Mother's Day tea parties, Father's Day BBQs, and so on! All the events we attended were super fun and well done with the kids involved. I am and always will be extremely grateful we stumbled upon Kidz Planet and had the opportunity to be a part of this community. It's been a wonderful experience for our whole family. Sending our two sons to Kidz Planet was a wonderful, wonderful experience. Both of our sons went there from 6 months-onward. The biggest thing for us was, and is, that we felt so confident that our kids were loved and cared for, with their best interest and well-being at heart. This school is filled with good, loving teachers. They are incredible. On top of this, Kidz Planet helped our kids grow in so many ways -- they helped potty train when it wasn't going well at home; they taught our kids kindness, patience, and sharing; they helped our kids with all the motor skills, etc... Kidz Planet is 100000% incredible! My daughter started when she was 4 months old in Jan 2019. She is now 3.5 and my son started when he was 4 months old. The teachers are so caring and really engage the kids, whether it's learning their letter, teaching kindness or tummy time! They told me when it was time to potty train! They've really gone out of their way to balance realistic needs, cleanliness and families during covid. They do the most amazing activities, festivals, music classes with samba jim, themed parties, etc. My kids are thriving here! I am a mom of two and have gone through a total of 3 daycares/preschools and with each one, I've learned a lot. I have to say, KP has been the best experience. We feel our children are safe and adored at KP. Every single teacher has so much joy in their profession and passion. My husband and I finally feel we've found a home in KP. We thank everyone at KP for their generosity and kindness. They're willing to work alongside parents to give kids the best experience (ie didn't push for 1 nap right away as many daycares, prepared solids before 12 months versus other programs do not include in tuition, worked around our kids' allergies and did substitutions when our previous programs wouldn't dare and made us bring our own foods). His teachers miss Irina and miss Maria are the most incredible and warm hearted women. They care so much about each child and give them what they need. Our son has been going here for the last year and half, and we can safely say that the care here is one of the best in town. The place is clean, safe, and huge for kids to play. Snacks and lunch are provided, so no need to pack your child with food. Staff is very attentive to all the children and their parents. Their COVID protocols have kept everyone safe. Communication is done through the "brightwheel" app which is easy for anyone to use as you can check-in your child, send/receive messages, and even see photos and videos that they regularly post. They have always been transparent with all updates due to COVID. They genuinely love and care for our son. Both of our children went to Kidz Planet and LOVED it! The school has continued to expand and upgrade over the years from the grass roots days when our oldest (going into 5th grade) first started. Irina, the director, and Miss Emily, have done a fantastic job building a caring and hands on staff. They've created an environment that cultivates both social and education which helped our eldest thrive, and has more than prepared our youngest for 1st grade. So thankful we found KidzPlanet!! The teachers are absolutely amazing and genuinely care about the kids. This is a great center for both of my kids. They are so creative with their events such as Halloween, winter holidays and Mother's Day. Teachers put so much love and care into their work every day. My kids have made so many great friends there, learned so much (that sometimes I learn from them :)) and built great memories there. My daughter just graduated pre-k from Kidz Planet and I have nothing but positive things to say! She only attended pre-k, but she has improved so much both academically and socially within a year. Prior to attending Kidz Planet, I toured a couple other pre-k programs in the area and I felt this program was more nurturing and academically driven than the other schools. What I really liked: -All the teachers I encountered were kind/nurturing and I could tell they genuinely enjoyed their jobs -Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided with tuition -Multiple plays were held throughout the academic year and every child had a role! -Updates of photos (with parents' permission) available for parents to view -I firmly believe my daughter is prepared to succeed in Kindergarten because of the curriculum (special shout outs to Ms. Stella, Ms. Sasha, and Ms. Emily!) We will miss Kidz Planet and I hope there is a spot available for my son when he's older! read more

Super bummed about this place. I was really excited to check it out and we made an online appt to do a new parent prospective appt yesterday at 445. When we arrived there was no one there. No sign on the door saying they were closed. We called the listed number and there's no voicemail either?! Sketchy. Why would they make an appt on a day they are closed? How are parents meant to get a hold of them if there is no voicemail? Made the decision easy to forego this place. My husband took off work early for the appt too so he was not pleased. Definitely not a professional way to run a business. It's also super weird that it's located in the corner of a strip mall. read more

What can I say. We love Kidz Planet. It has been amazing since my son started there in 2016. He started at 15 months and stayed through their Kindergarten program. The transition of taking my son to daycare for the first time was hard but they made it so much better. Keeping me up to date, having a loving and caring staff who really does enjoy and care for your kids. My daughter started there at 6 months in 2020 and really has loved every minute of it. They provide great care, fun activities and keep the kids engaged while learning. Both my kids would come home and I would always wonder how they knew certain things and I knew it was because of Kidz Planet. Sadly after 7 years we are leaving, but only because we have moved. My son has attended Kidz Planet from around 17mos of age, to 5yrs old. We initially transitioned him from an in-home daycare, to Kidz Planet...which ended up being a much stronger fit for his personality and his needs. He flourished here and loved his friends and teachers, as well as all of the special activities. Kidz Planet and all of their wonderful nurturing teachers have been amazing with both my kids, who have been with them since they were 3 months old until my oldest had to leave for Kindergarten. The preschool is very well run, organized, clean, has a strong curriculum, the teachers are happy, and the kids are well fed. Everyone is so kind, loving, and truly care for all the kids. The kids learn so much everyday from letters and alphabets to science, music, and yoga! The summer program is awesome (water slide bounce houses!) and the kids put on the most adorable plays. The program gives the kids so much more than I could have if I would have been a stay at home mom..multiple art projects weekly; educational visits from police officers, fire fighters (including the fire truck), dental hygienists; Samba James music visits, water slides and bouncy houses weekly in the summertime; about quarterly musicals where every child participates and performs in front of an audience of at least 50 people. All of the teachers and staff are friendly and helpful, and even though it is a large school, you immediately feel like family. Our daughter attended Kidz Planet from the time she was 4 months old until a year and a half, and we would be staying there if it wasn't so far from home/work. They were a lifesaver when we first enrolled; we had been kicked out of a home daycare because she wasn't taking a bottle, and the Kidz Planet staff basically bottle-trained her on their own. She moved through four different rooms with the same group of kids, and I always felt confident that she was in good hands. While I can't speak to the quality of the curriculum for older kids, the infant/toddler program was great for us. Kidz Planet staff is experienced, caring, and competent. They provide the kids with fun activities (seems like Samba James is there every other week), make all kinds of adorable footprint/handprint artwork, and post lots of pictures so we can see what the kids are up to. My child attended Kidz Planet for a period of time. After a few months we decided to move to try a new pre-school where things definitely turned around. I find it difficult to write this review because of our experience at the school. While in the younger classes everything went very well and we always received daily reports, etc. When moving up in classes due to age, that's when there seemed to be a shift in demeanor/attitude. Often times at drop off or pick up the end of the day, the staff would comment on whether or not we took our child to the doctor because they said "it seemed they were on the spectrum". When we mentioned we had (twice) and the doctor said everything was fine. They questioned us constantly about it. We asked if they could work with us so that we could help with the adjustment to the new class, etc., our outreach was dismissed. In addition, we didn't feel comfortable with them "diagnosing" or making assumptions as I know this is not allowed. To be honest our child was labeled by a nick name that would be mentioned at home to us on a daily basis (asking us what it meant). Several times my child would talk about how teachers talked throughout the day and how scary it was because voices were raised. I would not recommend this day care at all. I am happy my child was able to express their feelings and let us know how unhappy this place/experience was in the end. read more

Love, Love, Love Kidz Planet! I have 3 sons and I feel blessed that in 2007 I found them and after that there was no doubt in my mind that all my boys would attend Kidz Planet for Preschool. My 1st son attended 2007-2008, my 2nd son attended 2010-2011 and my baby 2014-2015. When I started looking for schools I had many visits at different schools, including other franchise centers, Montessori schools and small home preschools and just loved the size of the rooms, the structure and play yard for the kids. I was looking for a structured environment for my 3 year olds to attend to give them a strong foundation for school and I found it here. I am certain of this because my older boys, who are now in 7th and 3rd grade, both get straight A's (or 4/5's for the younger) and I truly believe this is due to them being prepared by Kidz Planet. Most notably, Ms Stella and Ms Sasha, but not without the assistance of the entire staff and owner Ms. Irina. How amazing that the teachers that were there in 2007 are still here in 2015. It is so important to me the loyalty shown by the staff. They truly love where they work and love the kids. Now a days when your child heads to Kindergarten they need to know and recognize the alphabet and numbers to 20, be able to write their name and be able to sit and follow directions. Kidz Planet gets them ready through play, art, hands on learning, songs and fun by getting in math, reading, writing and science. The older kids will begin to get homework to get them use to it once they start school. They also get lots of time to play outside and free play inside. The best part is the events, concerts and shows the teachers put together. They have the participation of all the kids, from babies to pre-k and the shows are phenomenal. They have a full kitchen and included in the cost they provide hot breakfast, hot lunch and morning and afternoon healthy snacks. They grow veggies in their garden. And my favorite, they offer a fun summer program that include water play, magic shows, pony rides, petting zoos that are incorporated into weekly themes like Wild West, Circus, Jungle, Dinosaurs, Camping and many others. If you are looking for a school and live or work in the East Bay I highly recommend Kidz Planet. Their hours are perfect for full time working parents and for families just wanting a strong foundation for their little ones. They will get them prepared for Kindergarten and all I ever wanted was to know they were in good hands. Lucky for us we found a well-rounded preschool for our boys. read more

I took sent my two year old here, after falling in love at the walk through. This place seemed too good to be true. My husband and I agreed to spend over budget because of how great this place seemed- so we thought. Home cooked meals (breakfast, lunch and two snacks), Russian language taught, teeth brushing daily, after lunch. The place was clean and smelled wonderful. Everyone was so nice. I noticed after about a week or so, that my son never really seemed happy when I picked him up. He didn't look sad - but just a bit melancholy. We also noticed that NONE of the kids seemed to be having too much fun when we picked up our son. Don't ask why we didn't pull him out immediately. I look back and regret that big time. I really didn't think there was a problem. It didn't click at the time. I only realized this while looking back. On a day to day basis, it didn't hit me. One day while changing my son's diaper (he was almost fully potty trained but wore diapers at night), he told me (in the best way a two year old could) that "Andy" grabbed his arm and hurt him. I assumed Andy was a boy at school. The following day, my son's daily report (which tells what ur child did all day, when he used the bathroom, what he ate, etc.), I noticed that "Andy" was actually "Andi"- one of his young, female teachers. I sent my husband to handle the situation, because if I had gone there, the police would have to be called because I'm not sure if I could keep my hands to myself. A young adult female put her hands on my child? My son was a sweet boy at that age. He never had behavioral issues and other kids always enjoyed playing with him. He's very friendly, generous and kind hearted. This broke my heart. My husband and I withdrew our son that day, and never went back. We never filed a complaint and i regret that immensely.
