Absolutely trust KinderCare with my baby. She started at 6 months old and now 1 year old. We have to commute for work so had to find a center that was available from 7am - 6 pm. My daughter loves Kahina, Teresa and the Directors at KinderCare. There is no better peace than knowing your kid is in good hands and getting updates and pictures of them all day. We visited this daycare for a tour, and unfortunately our experience was very uncomfortable. I am Asian and my husband is white. When we arrived, I greeted the woman who runs the daycare, but she completely ignored me. She immediately greeted my husband and our son, even though I was standing right in front of her. Throughout the entire tour, she continued to address only my husband and child and did not acknowledge me at all. This made me feel disrespected and excluded. As a parent, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism, especially from someone caring for young children. We decided not to move forward because this behavior raised serious concerns about how families are treated. The hallmark of Concord KinderCare center is it's teachers. You will be greeted with warm smiles the moment you walk in. The teachers are always happy, excited and loving. There is no doubt that they love their students and genuinely care about them. This was number one reason why we enrolled our son back in Sep 2017. The activities kids do during the day was second most important item on our list. And so far, we are beyond pleased. Kids in my son's class do multiple art projects, sign songs, do group activities like circle times and participate in other learning events. Children learn colors, numbers, animals, etc in a very fun way! For instance, they have "color days" when each student dresses in the same color. What a nice way to learn! Also, on Fridays there are share days. Each student can bring a toy to share. Another great way to teach kids things like social responsibility. I also want to mention that teachers are very knowledgable. You can always ask for any parenting advice in regards to changes in behavior or learning matters. I am also very happy with updates that parents get at the end of every day. It is amazing that teachers remember and share all the cute details. I am always looking forward to their funny stories. Every holiday is being celebrated at the center. Halloween, Christmas, Easter! Kids dress up, play games and dance, parents can bring festive food. I personally visited some of the parties and they were so much fun. I cannot thank enough all the teachers for making extra efforts and definitely going above and beyond! Our son has been attending the infant room for two months now and we couldn't be happier with this daycare. When I took him in on his first day, I immediately felt warmth and kindness from every facility member that I spoke with. The center director, Danyelle, and the assistant director, Catherine, are both so kind, caring, and patient, and are navigating the center so well through all of the covid uncertainty. All of the staff members are knowledgable and provide extremely useful feedback and advice about childcare. They also do an excellent job of posting pictures and updates on the KinderCare app, as well as answering any questions, which makes me feel connected to my sweet boy throughout the day. I tend to see Teresa the most out of the staff and I love her! She always takes such good care of my boy and is so sweet to talk to and always has useful feedback and advice. When we moved back to the Bay Area last year we were nervous about where to take our daughter. We started site unseen with only my sister in law doing the tour. From the very first email to now every interaction at Concord KinderCare has been amazing. If I can give it a negative star I would. The children run wild, gets sick all the time, the teachers or caretakers are busy cleaning up. Children get heard only when they scream for help. Rooms smell very bad. Friendly staff there though. If you visit the place, it's a good first impression because they tell you it offers a lot but when the child gets enrolled, they learn nothing. Go to the school, see if they can sing a song collectively. They cannot, because their circle time doesn't exist. Go to the 2 and 3 years old room, the room smell like a toilet and the teachers are full of excuses. Never owing up to anything. I took my child out after 1 year. Wasted my time and a lot of unhappy memories. Over priced and a waste of my time. read more

Fantastic place for a growing toddler! Our little guy started at 15 months and is now in the 2 year room. He has developed a lot more here and has super warm and loving teachers. We love the structure and the wide variety of activities for the kids. They are super supportive of the moms and dads and help the kids make gifts for us on Mother's day & Father's Day. It is so great to take home the art my son makes and read the daily reports on his meals, diaper changes, nap time and what activities he participated in. We are super sad that we are moving, but would recommend Kindercare to any toddler toting families in Concord. Note: I am clicking on yes they accept credit cards, but it is only Discover card. They are working on developing the ability to accept more different types in the near future. You can pay for your child's tuition online, which is also super helpful. read more

This is the most important review I will ever write. Being a new parent and dropping your child at daycare for the first time the emotions are overwhelming. But the staff here made this transition for us beyond easy and made us feel extremely comfortable and at ease with this transition into daycare. Our son has been attending KinderCare since he was about 5 months old. The teachers and staff here have been the kindest and most caring people to our son. They keep us up to date with what is going on from day to day and the progress and growth of our son. He has learned so much here and has made so may friends!! My husband and I don't have any family in the area, and we needed to ensure that our son was safe, well cared for and was learning. KinderCare has far exceeded all of our expectations! The teachers are patient, kind, nurturing, and they love all of the kids! I have two children that attended this KinderCare. My older son who is now 9 began attending this place when he was one years old (back in 2010). We had just moved to Concord and didn't know anyone here. I was so scared to leave him with strangers but the teachers here were so nice and made me feel so comfortable. He loved the place and made so many friends. He learned so much and really enjoyed being at daycare/preschool. He left the center once he started Kindergarten because they don't pick up from Mount Diablo in Clayton. My second son started here when he was only four months old in the infant room. I was at ease knowing all of the teachers there for the past several years and knew he would be in excellent hands. He is now getting ready to start Kindergarten and will be leaving KinderCare soon so this just tells you how long overdue this review is! The center Director Danielle is an amazing person! She is so caring and makes sure that any parental concerns are taken care of right away. I can honestly say that in all of the years both of my children have been coming to this school, I have only had two situations that I ever needed to bring to the attention of Danielle and she handled it immediately without question. All of the teachers here are amazing, caring and are genuinely interested in the children and their development. While the prices here are more expensive than other places, the people here make it worth the money. You get what you pay for! Here, I know my children were in safe hands and I also love how the age groups are separated so the children grow together and move up in each classroom together as well. I have two girls (2, 4) who have been attending Concord KinderCare since they were each 4 months old. They have been thriving under the care of the amazing teachers and staff at the center, and KinderCare has helped guide our way through early parenthood. The girls love the teachers and the classroom setting, and I cherish the relationships I've built with other families and center staff in the 4 years we've been there. The center director Danyelle has been incredibly accommodating and understanding of various situations that have arisen throughout our family's relationship with the center, and I genuinely feel like the KC staff love our family and even miss us when we're away on vacation or work trips. I'm planning to keep the girls enrolled at KC for before and after school care; we even moved so that we could attend an elementary school to which KinderCare will transport the girls. The center's hours - from 615 - 615 - are a huge plus for my husband and me, with our long commutes. The availability to continue our normal routine as the girls hit school age is a great benefit. So we have literally made KinderCare the center of our little universe. I truly can't imagine our world without KinderCare. Thank you for so much that you have done to help raise our girls into the amazing individuals they are becoming! KinderCare is like family to us. read more

My son has being going to Kids Choice (for school age kids), and he loves it there. He's been in other daycares where he whined about having to go. His teachers are sweet and caring. They help with homework & play games. I've come early to pick my son up and have never been disappointed with what I have seen. They keep me up to date with whats going on at the center. He's taking a science course there and thinks the world of it. He loves the projects they do and tells me all about what he learned. He was injured at the center by another student and they handled it very professionally and caring. It is a bit pricey, but my son is defiantly worth every penny. read more

They keep the kids engaged, help with homework and are pleasant and happy, even at the end of the day ! If you have an infant I strongly suggest you go elsewhere. Our child did not receive the quality of care a little one deserves. Sitting in a poop diaper way to many times during pick up. had cried out eyes unfriendly individual (staff) needs to take class for being stressed out. Our child was emotionally different when we would pick up. There was noticeable selective bonding going on with the children- that's just wrong these are babies. Basically the staff member would do whatever she wanted without our consent and when we would say no she would do it anyway. That was a tough one to handle. Do you expect them to own up to it ? Nooooo. Just remember we took our child out immediately!!! There are way to many better places in Concord than this one. We found a place and it's totally night and day and we noticed the warmth, smiles and real positive energy. Our child loves the new place and so do we. Your child is the best source of information. Our child seemed emotionally stressed out from that place. Went to a different place problem solved! Bottom line the infant room needs to be CLOSED! read more

I love this center. My son started here at 5 months and stayed until about 11 months. After a horrible 6 months at another facility I moved him back here to Kindercare in Concord. I initially moved him because it was too far away from home (20 minutes one way). He was in the infant room the first time he went there and they were always great with him. They communicated well with me and called if anything happened with him. A few times he got a fever but they called me immidiately. All of the teachers in that room were amazing. I transitioned him back about 2 months ago and now he is in the toddler room. His teachers are great and constantly talk to me about how he is doing. The room is large with great toys for that age. When I pick him up I can see that he is happy and playing well with the other kids. The director is very nice and always makes time for me if I have questions or concerns. I have nothing bad to say about this center. They have treated my son incredibly well. **UPDATE** My son was kicked out of the center while he was in the process of being diagnosed with autism. They told me littlerally the day after he was officially diagnosed that they did not have enough staff in that room to handle him. He can be a handful and that was nothing new but they did not handle the situation appropriately. They told me he had been having behavioral issues for over a month (news to me since then never told me or gave me reports). They expelled him two weeks later once he actually had a diagnosis. I still gave this place three stars because of the teachers. They are dedicated amazing people but are stretched too far. Just because the law allows a 12-1 ratio does not mean you should have 24 two years olds with 2 teachers. The teachers deserve better, they love the kids so much but I am sure they are pushed to their limits daily. My boy started therapy over a month ago and has not had any behavioral issues since. I just wish they had given him a chance, he deserved better than that. read more

I enrolled my four year old a few weeks ago to this center and decided to transfer him closer to home last minute. The director advised that everything was transferrable and I didn't need to worry. With that being said I transferred him right away and came to find out that she still charged me for the entire week!!!!!!!!! We are a military family with dad deployed and I am so disappointed that they would get over on us!!!! where do i start, my son started here when he was 1 and half. this was his first time ever being away from family and i was very skeptical about how he would be treated as he cried everyday for a solid year. with a child that comes in and cries every morning you would think that the staff would get tired of it but they didn't. they welcomed him with open arms and treated him like he was their own. i NEVER had any problems with any of the staff or even the way my child was treated. i really loved the fact that my child felt comfortable with EVERY teacher in the school as it made his transition from one class to the next so easy. he loved participating in the extra curricular activities such as cooking and phonics. and his vocabulary within his first year tripled!!!! i knew and trusted everyone there and loved to talk to the staff and other parents that were there to pick or drop off their kids as everyone was beyond friendly and it felt like a very tight knit community. i loved the fact that the teachers paid attention to the kids in their class!!! if my child was sick his teacher would tell me how his day went, if he was coughing, if he had any new symptons and if she wasn't present when i picked him up the info would be passed to the next teacher and she would provide the info. potty training was a breeze for us thanks to his teachers making sure that he went!!! i can honestly say that at this school both my child and myself made life long friends!!!!! the staff here at kindercare didnt make me feel like my child was a number with money attached to him they made us feel like family. we truly miss them!!!! thank you to the entire staff at kindercare, danyelle, gina, christina, katherine, sandy, pure, sandyha, julie, susan, colleen, shenay, gordon, jacqui and ms. tammy for making my child's stay in california the best and you have left a positive imprint on us!!!!!!!! read more

I have 3 kids that are currently enrolled in Concord Kinder Care. My older son been there almost for 3 years, starting kindergarten class and now in school age class with before and after school care. My daughter now in kindergarten, also been at this center for almost 3 years. Loves her teachers, almost never lives school without hugging her favorite ones. My 3 year old was there as soon as he turned 1. Received great care from his teachers, some of them like his second moms. All of my children love going there, they learn so much in there. Their curriculum is wonderful, good circle time. Teachers are amazing, they provide best care possible. Always helpful and really care about kids and families. They do lots of great projects, lots fun activists during summer. Director and the director assistant are fantastic people, always there for you to answer all your questions. Overall, Concord Kinder Care is wonderful place with very qualified teachers, I would not find better place for my kids. read more

Such a great staff. Once I started coming to terms with the fact I had to start leaving my child at daycare when I went back to work it was pretty hard to find a place I liked. After looking at many centers and individuals who run daycares from there home I setteled on Concord KinderCare with ease. They made the transition super easy and it was easy to see how knowledagble and experienced the staff was. My son started going here at 14 weeks old. I was very new to this and the staff helped me figure out what I needed to bring and was always very patient and able to explain things in ways I understand. We've had our children at this center for almost a year and a half. My daughter started when she was 2.5 and my son when he was 5 months old. The center is incredibly warm and inviting, always decorated charmingly for holidays, and is as clean as I think you can expect being full of kids having fun and exploring and being free to be kids. At least as clean as my house would be with this many kids in it! What is truly remarkable here is the staff. They are warm, caring and clearly love being with children. I know almost all of them and I feel they have the children's best interests at heart. My daughter talks about the teachers and the directors at home - wants to bring them gifts and draws pictures for them, so clearly a solid base of love and trust is being created. Danyelle and Gina are wonderful directors, very involved and receptive to comments. More than a few times I've gone to them for parenting guidance and was happy with their comments and suggestions for me. They know what they're doing and they love kids. Most of the teachers have been there for years and years. There is a real rapport between the teachers and directors, they seem like a big family. That kind of working environment is GREAT for kids to be around. The programs are fun - lots of play, but the kids are also taught manners, letters, shapes, colors, songs and crafts. My daughter does the Cooking Adventures and loves it. My daughter loves it here and my son was cared for extremely well by the infant room teachers and now the toddler room teachers. If you are looking for a daycare in Concord, I highly recommend that you tour Kindercare. You will be struck by how warm and friendly the center appears during your tour, and you should know that this is a true reflection of the warmth, love and care your kids will receive. The kids run around and can seem wild - sure - but they are kids and they should be running around and being wild. I wouldn't call the wildness out of control - I would call it giving them the "freedom to be kids." The kids do get sick a lot - but every one of my co-workers, family and friends who have children at daycare are reporting the same frequency of sickness in the first two years. There are a lot of kids here - and there is a lot of interaction - you pass germs, it is just what happens! The 2-3yo rooms can smell a little ripe on occasion - but if you consider they are actively potty-training a bunch of little ones - and changing diapers several times daily - you can understand why. It is neither a consistent smell nor anything unreasonable for the age range and volume of kids. I am not very easily pleased - I can be incredibly demanding and I'm eagle-eyed and suspicious when it comes to my kids. And I am so grateful to the Kindercare Concord staff for operating this wonderful place where my children are happy, stimulated and obviously adored. read more

As an early childhood education professional for over 9 years and a mom who have seen and tried different places for my son, I would definitely recommend this center. My son started here when he was about 10 months, first in the infant B (transitional area in the tootler classroom) room and now the toddler room. He has been very attached to me. After the unpleasant experience at another place (he was turned away because of crying too much), I became super concerned and was even thinking he would never be able to adjust. The director, assistant director and teachers at Concord KinderCare completely understood my feelings, they provided me a lot of emotional support by sharing his days with me, accommodating our needs, whenever I called, Danielle, the director would go into the classroom and check how he was doing for me. I love their positive, genuine and professional attitudes. Though the transition still took a long time (several months) for my son, they never complained as the previous caregiver did, instead offered a lot of empathy. The toddler teachers are sweet , energetic and passionate about their work. They are also very good at communicating with parents when children are not feeling well. Now my son is doing very well, happy and learning new things everyday! This center also has a very low teacher turnover rate, which is rare to see in the ECE field, and continuity of care is critical for young children emotionally.
