This place was great. Conveniently situated near most of the big attractions, this place was our first stop before sightseeing. The place was empty upon our arrival which greatly enhanced the amount of attention we received. The waiter was very friendly, like...very, very friendly. Possibly too friendly. We ordered turkish coffee (classic), hummus and pita for the table to share, and an omelette each. The pita they gave was GIGANTIC. Like titanic-sized. Like bigger than my head. Excellent food! I love everything about this cozy place, the freshness of the food, the plethora of choices, the spices, the attentive, friendly staff and the great prices. I loved the pot kebab that comes on fire and most portions I split with my daughter. Made some great memories here so many thanks to the staff! read more

This restaurant was recommended by the carpet salesperson around the corner. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. AND THE FOOD ? EXCELLENT ! Price was very reasonable. We had the mixed grill and the lamb was so good, no gamey smell. Will be back tomorrow to try another dish with a friend. read more

Fantastic restaurant with beautiful atmosphere. The food was the best I have discovered so far in 3 days in this area. It should be noted that due to their proximity to the mosque they do not serve alcohol... And it does say they have a full bar in the info section here in the yelp listing. That aside the food and smells from the clay oven are wonderful and the staff is very friendly and eager to meet you and share stories of you like to meet people. My wife got sick after eating here. My food was nothing special. There are so many better places in Istanbul than this one. Its next to a couple of hotels, so it probably preys on tourists. The stars are in part because the food was decent but mostly due to the amazing server we had. All of the staff were welcoming and attentive, but he was especially fantastic, and I do him a disservice by forgetting his name. The place itself is in a great area right next to the Blue Mosque and numerous hotels. The food was decent but extremely overpriced for similar food available by comparison. That said, it tasted good and the establishment offers complimentary tea after your meal which was a nice touch. We had a mixed traditional kebab and a cold apetizer plate. Both delicious and fresh. More than enough for two persons. I will recommend also the apple tea. Everything is acompanied by a nice huge over inflated pita bread (puf), delicious evening. read more
