Great Turkish establishment with a variety of food items, super clean & friendly staff; you must go to experience it!

A fun place to wander for a different side of supermarkets. It's a cramped place so has a bit more of a NYC vibe to the layout. As we squeezed through the aisles and others squeezed by us, I scoured all the shelves. Fruits / veggies seemed fairly normal, some normal food on every shelf and some Middle Eastern brands. Then you get to the multiple brands of mulberry syrup, the various types of dried sweet olives, the Azerbaijani salsas, and things get fun. This is a Turkish mart, but they branch out in all directions. I found Lebanese, Palestinian, Hungarian... the list certainly goes on. It was fun picking out different foods I felt like trying. They had a pile of fresh-cooked, fresh-wrapped breads made in Irvington. Still good 3 days later, now part of my sandwiches for the week. They sell a lot of sausages (all halal, no pork), but the star is their homemade beef sausage. I grabbed one of those and it's now sliced on those fresh breads (along with the Azerb salsa and some baba ghanoush). And yeah, I did end up with some olives for fun. Great little place if you just want to explore. If you're someone halal and/or from the Middle East, so much the better. Now, you do pay quite a bit more for many of the foods here, most notably where you can find similar brands/products elsewhere. And I noted the small size before, which means they're limited in what they can carry. Some items, like the olives, took up disproportionately much shelf space, squeezing out some of the varieties I would have liked to see more of (like hummus, there was very little to peruse). So that's the star deduction. But with that, do come check out Sultan next time you're on 46. read more

Sultan Bazaar is an outstanding Market in Parsippany which sells all kinds of Turkish and Middle Eastern foods. Amazing Meats, Fresh Produce, Artisan Breads, Incredible looking Pastries, hard to find Pantry Items, and a whole lot more can be found here.    This was my first time trying their Traditional Turkish Baklava Pastries and I totally recommend that if you're ever are in the area you gotta give them a try. They're made with Light Flakey Layers of Super Thin Phyllo Dough Filled with Pistachios, Walnuts, Honey, and Baklava Syrup. Very much like Greek Baklava but somehow slightly different and I really can't explain the difference but there definitely is something extra added which sets these two apart.     They make for an out of this World, one of a kind delicious tasty treat and go perfectly with a freshly brewed cup of Coffee. Bad market, they charge different than what the price tag shows. It happened at least 3~4 times so it is not a coincidence but an ill-intent. They also charge tax on food that NJ has zero tax on food. Because of these, I guess they do not give yiou a receipt unless you ask for it. Never go there anymore. Suggest you check what you pay for to avoid being ripped off. read more

This place is awesome! Really great fresh baked bread and love the butcher shop with several pre-cut meat options along with custom cuts and kababs. They are so clean, you can see them working and keeping it sanitary. Meat is always fresh and extremely tasty. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. A very poorly organized business, and although the employees were very nice and helpful the previous times we visited, the result was the same. Twice they called me to tell me that they got the items I ordered, I drove twice and both times they had sold the items or couldn't find them. I wasted a lot of time for nothing. Today we left a restaurant in a hurry just to get to Sultan before they close, because they told me over the phone that they close at 9 pm. I got there at 8:55. The market was already closed, nobody inside. I was supposed to pick up meats of various types, deserts, and other stuff that would have cost $300 or more. What a careless, disrespectful and uneducated way to run a business... I do NOT recommend this market. read more

Staff is cooperative but owner is not ...tried to return...spoiled stuff but didn't accept...so I said to owner, I will never come to the shop but still owner didn't exchange nor refund money. So it shows owner do not care of customers. I didn't expect this kind of service when there is a need to return. read more

I called for a whole baby goat to be cut small. The price they gave me on phone was $8.49/lb. When I went to pick up after 2 hours, they were not ready. i had to wait 30 minutes. When they gave me 4 packets of the cut baby goat, they charged me $8.99. when asked they said that it was the cut and cleaning fee increased the price. When I was at the register the lady charged me .10cents a bag for 4 bags. The receipt says reusable bag and the bag was the old thin one that rips as she put the goat in the bags. what a rip off. read more

Bad service! Man who is in charge of the meat counter is very disrespectful to customers. There needs to be better customer service. I was asking a couple questions about the meat and man was on his AirPods having a conversation ignoring me and oth customers. Woman at meat counter is very rude, on two separate visits I asked for Turkey thin sliced, first time she sliced it thick, bought it anyways. Went again on 4/5/21 and asked her for more, she refused and said i cut it, if you want it take it if not leave!! her exact words. There are 5 other halal meat places in Parsippany. I would have given this place 5 stars, but there are a couple of things they need to work on to improve overall service. 1. I have picked up and put back many expired items. One time I bought the packaged pastirma, opened it the next day only to find meat on the layers underneath had turned greenish. Many cheeses I've purchased do not last a week at home. I don't think their refrigeration is cold enough. 2. Their baked goods are way OVERPRICED. 3. The male and female butchers in the back are UYUZ! I have been to the store about 15 times but bought meat only 1 time. Why? Because both butchers don't smile and act as if you're bothering them. Eh, you can keep your meat then. I'm not going to pay for attitude. Maybe the male butcher has a problem with non Turk/Muslim females......not sure. 4. One time they had a gofret sale and were selling a ton of Ulker gofrets. Now, they don't even sell a single gofret. I found a few items like this where they would stop stocking. Every turkish store sells Ulker gofret. read more

We stopped by here in our way back from work. This place has a lot of good munchies and carries Halal meat. This is a good place for Turkish delights. The manti was really good and also the yougurt drink was on point. The store is really clean and organized. read more

This was my favorite and 5 star bussiness for so long , but kot anymore. In order to support the bussiness I would v baught a lot of my items from here while I could v get it cheaper in bigger stores. But for the past 4-5 months the store has totally changed. Not only expired or about to expired items on the shelves, but also they have become exteremly greedy. They have not only increased the meat prices double than the regular halal meat in other stores, but also has changed all the staff in meat section that out of 2 lbs of meat you buy more than a LB will be all the crap and exesive that they used to clean and cut those out before. While the store was at least once a stop for me every week, not anymore I will never go again. read more

Best halal market in the area! Really fresh, clean, tasty meats with a wide variety of selection. The traditional bread is made fresh in the morning and is delicious. The bakery selection is also fresh and delicious along with the dried fruit/nut bar. This is my go to place for Turkish coffee and deli meat. read more

I went in today and asked the guy in the meat area if he had kabobs his answer was this isn't a restaurant! Wth! I said u always have in the corner then I said can I have ground beef he said no. I asked why? He didn't answer me not. then the lady she didn't even look up or even say a word.. he continued to do what he was doing I said ok thanks! These ppl need to be replace this isn't the first time I been treated like this by both nor am I the only person I seen it done to others but this will be my last I ever step in to their store. read more

Excellent selection of Turkish products. Good prices. Very clean. Owner and stuff are super friendly. Their in house made sudjuk is excellent and gets better as it dries. The grill ready marinated and spiced meats (kofta etc...) look and taste fresh with nice flavor. read more

MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PRICES!! In my shopping experience at the Sultan Bazaar, the price of an item I purchased rang up as a higher price, even though the price tag on the shelf stated a lower price. Even after I voiced my concern, an employee completely removed the price tag from the shelf. As a courtesy they didn't honor that price. Make sure the price tag on the shelf and the price that rings up at the cash register are the same. Who knows if the store charged us more for our other items? So I advise you, please be careful, whatever you purchase here. read more

Love this market! very clean and lots of selections. Came here specifically for their Halal meat, but ended up buying more than what's planned. They have selections of cheese, sweets, and other halal products. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's a bit long drive from home, but will definitely come here again for this is gonna be my new market place for halal products. read more

By far the best Halal meat store in North Jersey. I can't say how much better this is than anything else in the area. Their butcher is an expert in cutting meat and gives me exactly what I want and how I want it. Most other halal meat places just take meat and cut it into random pieces in the bandsaw but here they actually butcher the meat. Their chicken is cage-free and hand slaughtered. Additionally it's super clean and you never get that "smell" that is present at other halal meat stores. Service is also excellent. Great addition to the neighborhood. read more

Great place with great service ! Family owned business in a convenient location (right on 46) with fantastic customer service ! They carry a full selection of Mediterranean and middle eastern goods at amazing prices. In the back they have a full service halal butcher shop with convenient ready to go items or you can have anything you want custom cut. The dairy section is stocked with cheeses and different kinds of yogurts and drinks, and they have an awesome olive bar that you can buy by the pound. Bread was stocked and super fresh. Overall great experience in a convenient location. No need to go to Paterson for you Mediterranean and middle eastern needs, there's an even better shop right here in Parsippany ! read more

Great prices! Fresh Turkish bread, feta cheese, olives and strawberry jam to die for! Butcher is awesome. They prepare & marinate the meat, chicken too if you want. Amongst the best ethnic stores, Cleanliness is Godliness, is true for this place, I happen to interact with the owner when he was in the process of opening his store, I recently went in there, fully stocked, great lay out, it seems every thing under the sun is there, and the BEST part for me was the butcher section and the amazing lady butcher, a lady, I had to pick my jaw from the floor, and she is a great personality in her own way, helpful and knows her job as an expert. the meat was so well done and prepared, so neat and clean, Non mediterraneans , like indian, Pakistanis and asians should come to this store, ( they should abandon the dirty and full of attitude Khan market for ever,) The most amazing experience is that there is no barrier between the store butcher and customer, you can see what they are doing and give instructions. The cashier was friendly and knowledgable, a great experience, will now go there always for my non indian stuff.
