However the service outside was quite sluggish. Initially, perhaps my solo presence was confusing, but the dishes also seemed to come out quite slowly. Waitstaff was friendly and accommodating (English menu) when they were present. All selections I had were perfectly delicious! There were plenty of people outside and it seemed to be a mix of enjoying a drink on a pleasant evening with friends and dining. Overall- very good food, but expect to spend a lot of time for service acknowledgment and food delivery. Oh, and they accept American Express!
Wine: Bobal y tempranillo (bio). The wine was reasonably priced and averagely drinkable for a Tempranillo.
Starter: Frittierte oliven-schafskäse kugeln (deep fried balls filled with sheep's cheese and olives on top a spicy tomato chutney). The fritters were perfectly smooth and crumbly on the inside and extremely flavorful and well paired with the tomato sauce which was full of flavor rather than spicy. 3 fritters were served alongside two pieces of bread which was also very good. The bread had a nice crust, but was dense and soft. The bread was hearty and seemed to be made with good quality ingredients (not just white flour).
Pizza: Formaggio e pesca (goat cream cheese, glazed peaches, roasted nuts, and honey). The pizza was everything I expected! It was an intriguing combination on the menu and the combination did not disappoint! I might even try to recreate it at home.
