I am so happy to be a patient at New Era Family Practice. I am a certified old lady and Dr. Patel…read moreand his staff are a dream come true. They are all nice and very patient. Dr. Patel is wonderful. He not only takes all the time I need, he actually listens and acts on what I need. Then there is the added bonus of a testing lab right next door. The location is mid city and in a safe and convenient location. Also the Patient Portal isn't a sinkhole. It is excellent for making appointments and answering questions and concerns in a very timely manner. They put the Family part into practice.

Thankfully my brother was airlifted to Tucson & treated by the amazing neurology & ICU staff at UMC. Following that hospitalization, the neurologist was insistent that my brother be seen by a local doctor the following day & his health be monitored closely. Sadly, another family care practice nearby were rude, disrespectful & uncaring with my family. (Please see my lengthy review on Yelp for details.) Our parents encouraged us to see their provider, Dr. Patel, at New Era Family Practice. I wish we had taken their advice sooner. The entire staff at New Era is very helpful & caring. Unlike my previous family practice experience, New Era was willing to see me & my brother at the same time, as I was my brother's primary caregiver. They did all this without hassle & were very efficient with returning my brother's original blood pressure log, something the other clinic took. The scheduling is always easy. Front desk clerk Rosa is a model of efficiency, quickly processing payments & insurance matters. They have been willing to see me the same day for urgent issues, typically within the hour, or seeing me around my work schedule. Dr. Patel is very approachable & quite fun during appointments. He knows my family well & always asks about my brother, mom & dad at each visit. He works off a tablet, listens to my concerns & makes diagnoses in quick, but well informed fashion. If a prescription is needed, he will ask what pharmacy I want the Rx sent to & forward directly from his tablet. Due to the office efficiency, I can typically pick up any prescriptions immediately following my appointment at the local Walmart. I appreciate that Dr. Patel provides sound medical advice without being "preachy" or judgemental. He's been willing to complete letters to employers without hassle & in quick order. Hands down, THE best provider I've had in my 46 years on this planet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have had hypothyroidism for 40+ years so I know my symptoms, etc very well. That was the only thing I saw this woman for (I have a hard time calling her a "medical professional" of any kind). She made an error in the prescription for my medication that could have had very serious effects, perhaps even lethal. The dosage she prescribed was more than 10x the correct dosage. I didn't t notice the error until I got home from the pharmacy. I called her office and complained and was told I was wrong. But when I asked the pharmacy if I could see the prescription they received, there it was... 10x the correct dosage. When I requested my medical records to take to another physician, the office refused to provide them to me, which I believe is illegal. But I didn't pursue it. Since then, I have heard reports from other people who have also had harrowing experiences with this person who claims to be a medical professional. I switched to Dr. Jeffrey Wilde and it's like night and day re: the level of professionalism from the medical staff and front office. Please steer clear of this unethical practice.

I went to Colorado to help my mom with her broken hip.Just as I was to fly home I was rushed to the e.r and a tumor was found inside me. Rushed into surgery.Luckily it was not cancer. I spent another month healing before the doctor would release me to fly home. She is horrible about following through with referrals. I waited 2 years and never received referral for carpal tunnel in my wrists, before I found another doctor. Her medical degree should be taken away. Be careful she changes records. I had to put at least 1 star on this to post it
