On a visit to my dentist for a consult regarding a toothache, she referred me to Dr. Lucas at Knoxville Endodontics. I was able to get an appointment in just two days. From start to finish, the entire experience was a breeze. Dr. Lucas and his dental assistant, Joyce, took great care to listen to my issues, and resolve them quickly. I ended up with root canal surgery that was conducted with professionalism and utmost concern for my comfort. 5-stars. You rock!!

We were told they had run this through our insurance and they gave us our out of pocket price. We paid and had the work done. Nearly 2 years later they started billing me for over $1,000 claiming we were out of network. The women working the front desk is very unkind and impatient & seems to have no interest in hearing anything out so we can come to a reasonable resolution. A lot of what we are being told about the financial side of things here is simply not adding up. We feel swindled & lied to. There are other options locally with better bedside manner and frankly a higher quality of service.

Also, gave an estimate of $220.20 for procedure after they "stated" they checked with insurance. Insurance has NO RECORD of any calls from this dentist office. The estimate ends up being DOUBLE or $432.20 because they didn't factor things in from the insurance company, had the actually contacted them, would have determined. I got an "I'm sorry" this happened, that's how estimates work with dentist and medical field. And WE Don't have time to spend all day talking to insurance companies. REALLY?!? Isn't that exactly your job. It took me 5 minutes to find out YOU didn't make the call? So even though nothing was MY fault. I'm stuck paying DOUBLE what they estimate? And what kind of estimate is DOUBLE in cost anyway. I can actually see being off $10, $20, or even $50, but DOUBLE $212?!? Very poorly run operation which is more concerned with $ than accepting responsibility of being wrong.
