Use to come here at least once a month to get my eye brows done. I loved that after so many visits you get a free one. The location is great for me as well. However, every time I go I feel very rushed. They spend about a minute on my eye brows, are very harsh and always seem to cut me. This has happened a few times now and I have decided not to go back. Fast service but this was around 3 pm on a weekday. The lady threaded the brows and a little outside the brow area too. Cost was $10 one dollar more than where I usually go, but she also did the hair on forehead. I had no swelling, no irritation, no burns. Will def go back . read more

Usually I go to Sukhy's and they do a wonderful job with my eyebrows. However, today I went to Sukhy's and got my eyebrows done and they completely messed them up. I showed them a picture of myself from a previous time i got my eyebrows done and told them i wanted my eyebrows to look like that. I made sure i told them i wanted them thick but when she was done they were thin and a huge chunk was MISSING!! I showed them and they said nothing... they knew they were messed up and did nothing about it. Worst of all they made me pay knowing i was very upset about my eyebrows. My brows miss this place. We moved to Staten Island last year for a job transfer and my eyebrows are suffering for it. I used to stop here every other week on my way home from work and my eyebrows always looked perfect. The women here know what they're doing. This is the right place for women who want natural looking brows, not the overtweezed, always surprised look. They follow your natural arch and just remove the outliers which is exactly what I want when grooming the brows. If you come in with overtweezed brows, they will encourage you to grow them out. So, in a way, Sukhy's is also doing a great public service. Anyhow, back to my search for threading here, on the lovely and scenic Staten Island. Those of you lucky enough to live near this place should definitely take advantage! And get the punch card, I think the 8th thread is free. read more

I have been coming here for a long time. My teenage daughter recently started coming with me. We won't be back. It always hurts a little bit but this was ridiculous. My brow and lip area are unusually swollen and Burning. The woman who did the threading seemed unbelievably rushed. Maybe she was tired or overworked being the weekend before a holiday but I'm beyond disappointed. Someone else did my daughter abs was slightly less rushed but not much better. I really used to like it here. It hasn't been the same for a while but this was the worst. read more

My experience at Sukhy's was frustrating; I went to to get my brows threaded before being in a bridal party at a wedding. The woman who did my brows seemed to rush the process, thinning out my naturally thick brows even though I asked for a simple clean-up. Ironically though she took off quite a bit of hair, she left my brows completely shapeless and uneven. She then trimmed across the top of the brow, creating a square, box-like shape. She did not ask me if I liked the shape or offer any lotion / aloe, even though the salon was empty and no one was waiting to go next. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

I have always loved Sukhy's for getting my eyebrows threaded because they are very quick, precise and it never hurts! Unfortunately tonight I had a very bad experience with a woman who was careless and caught my eyelashes in her thread, ripping one of them out and when I told her it hurt she said nothing. When I got up to look at my eyebrows I had a very good sized cut under my eyebrow. Very frustrating. I didn't get her name, but she was one of only two women in the salon and the other was the owner who is always so nice! I will be back, but will be steering clear of her! read more

I walked in and there was only 1 other person getting their brows done. No one was waiting. I go over to the desk and ask to get my eyebrows threaded, and the woman sitting down said only 1 thing "$10." I thought it was strange I had to pay before I got them done, but I did anyway. She was not too friendly. After I sat down, the lady at the desk called over the lady who would be doing my eyebrows. She said nothing to me, just tapped my eyebrow for me to hold it. She spent literally about 5 seconds on each eyebrow, so when she said that she was done I couldn't believe it. I looked at my eyebrows and they were terrible! I was very unhappy with the whole experience and I just wanted to get out of there so I didnt bother to have her try to fix them. I had to pluck my eyebrows when I got home! She did a terrible job. And both ladies in the salon were not welcoming or nice at all! It's not like they were busy; there was 1 other client who left before my eyebrows were even started. I went here because I heard good things, but I will NEVER come here again. Bad service! read more

I lived in NYC for 3 years and got very used to threading vs. waxing. When I moved back home to MA last year, I was worried I wouldn't find a good threading place close-by. A co-worker suggested Sukhy's, and while nothing will ever compare to the amazing service I received at Thread on 33rd St. in Manhattan, this place doesn't do a bad job. Not exactly the friendliest staff, but I don't come here to make friends. They do their job with precision and they're decently priced. My only complaint is that last time I went, she accidentally dropped some baby powder in my eye. read more

Absolutely won't go back. I let my eyebrows grow a bit, went in and the woman who did them took maybe 2 minutes, told me I was done. To which I was not satisfied with the lack of doing anything, she took a few more hairs off then said all set again. Went home and tweezed them myself. I'll go back to where I used to go, though it's a bit of a drive, they actually take their time to do the job. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here after growing them out for a few months in order to get a better shape. There was really no wait and I was taken in right away. The lady who did them did my eyebrows very quickly, however I was not satisfied with the result. My eyebrows looked like nothing had been done to them and they had really no shape to them. There were still hairs left over that should've been removed and I wish the lady had taken her time to do them instead of rushing to move onto the next customer. After leaving here I decided to get my eyebrows done somewhere else and will most likely not be coming back. read more
