They said we would get more money, which could be true, but we wanted to put a bit of money in, not a ton. We felt they kept pushing on that too much. Watch out for THEIR inspector that comes out to your home. Because They sent out a contractor/termite inspection guy ( that owned the company) that bloated prices on things to be fixed in the home. And it was a conflict of interest because he would be doing the repairs. And that put us in a pickle because you have to pay for this person to come out #1, and he was expensive and then if you don't like his findings, you can get another contractor to come out, but you have to pay for that as well. And this person's findings are on record and you have to disclose them - so you're screwed. you should probably get your own inspector. After we got his list of things to be fixed, we got a friend of ours who is a contractor and looked over the list and he said this is absolutely highly inflated. For example, a $30 beam you can buy at Home Depot, They wanted for one beam to be fixed was $495. The termite inspector/contractor company guy over all wanted to charge us $18,000 to fix things that didn't need to be fixed- it wasn't a necessity. It was a suggestion and now that's on record & it has to be disclosed. There are a couple people in the company that were really helpful. Overall, my husband and I were very dissatisfied. And in hindsight, we wish we would've went with another company.
